This hotel is fantastic and particularly good if you are travelling by train - its a 2 minute taxi from the station and a 5 minute walk from the boats for exploring the lake. Its a quick stroll into the main aea but benefits from the peacefulness of being out of the main throng - great breakfasts and very stylish place!

The Hotel Nazionale is without doubt my favourite hotel in Lake Garda. The hotel is beautiful, with a boutique feel, and defintely seems more like a 4 star hotel than 3 star. Rooms are clean and large, we also had a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was great, with a large selection of continental and also hot food. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and will definitely be staying there again in the near future.

Lovely hotel. Short walk to the train station which provides easy access to Gardaland, Verona & other nearby areas. A few minutes from all the restaurants & bars and the lake itself. Excellent facilties such as the swimming pool. Staff were friendly & helpful.

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Nazionale in July 2009 with my friend. It was great experience. Service was excellent and breakfast was very good. Hotel has own garage with free parking, so there was no need to spend time to found parking places somewhere else. Location is also very good. Easy to come with car and only few blocks from center of the town.

Lovely hotel located close to the station and a very short walk to the main piaza of Desenzano Del Garda. Would definitely use thiss hotel again. Fab pool and very modern facilities.

Super Lage in wenigen Minuten direkt im Zentrum. Für Ausflüge um den Gardasee sowie nach Verona ideal. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und alles tip top sauber. Frühstück ist sehr gut. In der Anlage befindet sich ein Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen (inkl.) Der Außenbereich ist einfach schön. Jederzeit und gerne wieder für einen Kurzurlaub. Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

The Hotel Nazionale is an absolute gem. We booked a junior suite and it was just as shown in the photographs, but bigger and immaculately clean in real life. The location is great and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had to leave before breakfast on our last day and they made up a breakfast package for us to take at no extra charge. This service was offered to us, we did not enquire if this was possible and it was a very nice touch.

Stayed at the holel nazionale on our honeymoon. The hotel and staff where great. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of everything. It was my birthday while staying there and the hotel manager arrived out to the pool with a bottle of champers for my husband and i. How great is that! I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone. We hope to return next year again ourselves.

Brilliant Hotel very near all bars & restuarants. Nice pool but only open at 10.00 am. Good breakfast but sometimes hot items only warm. Nice nibbles available in the evening to accompany drinks but bar closed at 11.00 pm. Every thing elso top quality, especially the cleaning staff who were excellent. Free parking in garage under hotel a boon as it kept the car nice and cool.

What a hotel, highly recommended. I booked it after reading other guests comments - Boy, am I glad we stayed there. My wife loved it (so did I)Very modern standard, great staff, fantastic breakfasts, lovely pool, close (5min walk) to the lake. Only down side, finding it late at night was difficult, once I had my bearings tho' it was fine - save car-parking underground. A fabulous week, and the price is a bargain. I'm usually fussy as to whether I'd recommend to friends etc - first recommendation this week.

We went to the hotel for one night and stayed eight because it was so good. The standard of the hotel is very high in every respect and the staff were genuinely helpful at all times. The swimming pool is excellent and maintained to a very high standard. We are very particular about hotel accommodation and this hotel ticked all the boxes for us. If I were to be critical it would be about the breakfast. Continental breakfast was excellent but the cooked breakfast was limited in quantity, certainly when taking a late breakfast. My family and I will definitely return to this hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect for Desenzano itself and a good base for travelling to all the surrounding Lake Garda areas.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel which deserves a rating higher than 3 stars. Our room was excellent with a large luxury bathroom and views across the busy road to the lake and distant mountains. Although we were on the road side of the hotel, the noise did not disturb us at all. Breakfast was outstanding and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. At first sight, the location did not look too appealing but a very short walk down the road opposite put you at the lake front and the centre of activity. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed in a junior suite - it was really nice to have a separate part of the room for our two children. Very clean, modern hotel, lovely breakfast in a very pleasant breakfast room, friendly staff (English speaking too!). Only slight downside was the location on a busy main road, but it was surprisingly quiet in the room we had (no noticeable traffic noise). It was very convenient for the railway station and only a few minutes walk from the lake and a children's playground. Would definitely recommend it as a convenient bas to explore the Lake.

What a wonderful hotel! The Nazionale is modern and clean, everything you would expect from a 'boutique' hotel. The room was spacious, clean and decorated in neutral colours and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom too was spacious and clean. The hotel is situated on a main road but the rooms with the pool view had no noise disturbance. A good location - only a 5 minute walk to the lovely town centre. We had some difficulty in finding the hotel from the directions given on the website but once we had found it, everything was forgotten. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definately stay there again.

Forget the 3 star rating, the hotel should have a four star or four star plus rating. While located on a busy main road, access to Desenzano centre is a 5 minute walk.

The employees, service, and accommodations were excellent. Locating the hotel was very, very difficult. While it is located on a main road, the hotel sign is not "eye-catching" enough for someone who is looking for the hotel. I drove past it three times before I finally saw the sign. Recommend a different sign or a more obvious lighted sign on the hotel itself. All that being said, I do plan to stay at the Nazionale the next time I am in Desenzano.

Absolutely loved staying here. Feel priveledged as don't reckon it will stay at current price for long. Located just a few minutes walk into town and within walking distance of both port and train station. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice ambience about the place and pool was not too overcrowded.

My daughter married at Lake Orta and we wanted to continue the rest of our holiday at Lake Garda and fortunately for us we chose Hotel Nazionale. We were very impressed with the hotel - it was excellent throughout and will definitely go back there in the not too distant future and have recommended it to everyone we know who may visit the lake. The room was excellent as was the bathroom, very clean and modern. We also had a small balcony which was nice and although near the road, once the patio door was shut no noise could be heard at all. The location was also good as we were only 5 minutes from the main centre. The staff were also very nice, being very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Hotel Nazionale offers a much higher than expected standard of accomodation. We found it very comfortable and good value. Breakfasts were great and the staff were realy helpful and friendly throughout. The location is great as well. Just a couple of minutes and you are in the heart of Desanzano and, if you want, onto a boat across Lake Garda. I would have no hesitation in making a strong recommendation for this hotel.

This was the first time we had stayed at the Hotel Nazionale and we would use it again if we returned to Desenzano del Garda.It was our third holiday in Desenzano and this was the best hotel we have used.The hotel is ideally situated and offers a very high level of service. The swimming pool was a favourite spot for our teenage daughter.The breakfast provision was varied, excellent and provided for all tastes and diets. Well done all at the Nazionale.

We had the pleasure to stay for two nights in the hotel and what can I say: it's perfect. Two nights are definately too short and I willl caome back. It's brand new and has style. The pool is really inviting, the rooms are much bigger than I am used to in Italy and the city is very close.

The hotel seems to have been renovated recently. Our room was so clean that I first thought we were the first guests to stay in it. The room was also very spacious. The swimming pool in the back of the hotel is surprisingly big too. The Nazionale easily matches some of the 4 star hotels I've stayed.

Superb hotel, specialy concerning price and the 3 stars. It is more a 4 to 5-stars hotel. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs and pancetta, you could choose capuccino instead of the usual coffee without extra charge. Nice design and decor. Bar with good wine that also served the ajacent pool. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel in June 2007 when it was only 4 months old. It was very clean and the room was cleaned well every day. The staff were helpful although we did have trouble explaining that we wanted weaker coffee than they tend to make! The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the shops and Lake Side which seemed just right. A ten minute walk down from station but not recommended back up with cases. Felt the hotel had the typical Italian laid back feel which is great on holiday. Would highly recommend.
