I stayed for one night in Giardinetto and I found it to be excellent in every way. Midway between station and lake- an easy walk to either- and although it is on a busy road, my room was quiet and I was not disturbed. Very hospitable and welcoming staff, excellent breakfast,I would definitely stay again. A friendly comfortable delightful hotel.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only inconvenience were our neighbors loudly slamming the door, but nobody is immune from that.

Une réceptionniste parlait anglais. Elle était très serviable et nous a donné beaucoup d'information pour les visites. Hôtel très propre, chambre assez grande pour standard européen. Je recommanderais cet hôtel sans problème. Nous avons été très satisfaits.

I have been in this hotel for 2 nights in a triple room. The service was really good, familiar and professional, ready to help you in any query. It was really clean and good food in the breakfast. The area was fantastic. The town is one of the biggest in Garda's lake and it's really easy to get in there as you have a motorway few kilometres away. I highly recommend this hotel, quality is higher than price. I have been in more expensive hotels where I didn't get the kidness of Hotel Giardineto. If I come back to Garda's lake I will come back to this place.

Sehr gutes und sauberes Hotel. Ca.3 min zu Fuß ins Zentrum bzw. Hafen. Frühstück für Italienische Verhältnisse reichhaltig und gut. Gerne zu empfehlen.

Nice hotel half way between the station and the lake (old town). On a busy road, but we were at the back. Family run and very friendly. In general, though, we did not like Lake Garda nearly as much as Lago Maggiore. South end of Garda is spoilt by tourism and definitely aimed at the 20 something who wants designer this and that.

Hotel Giardinetto is nicely located. In the middle of the central station and the lake shore. Nice surroundings. The owners are gracious hostesses -mother and daughter. Nice view of the lake from some rooms. Nice bathroom, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is served in a nice room, and there is an acceptable variety of choices. I recommend this hotel. It was an enjoyable experience.

Very friedly service, really appealing entrance. Nice rooms with high ceilings and baths with outside-windows. Good breakfast and cosy ambiente. There is a public veranda, where you can sit surrounded by green leaves and flowers. Only drawback is the location at a quite busy road. But if you keep the windows shut, it is ok.

A great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Ideal base for exploring the southern end of Lake Garda and Verona. Easily reached from the train station and just a 5 minute stroll to the lake. The room was very clean and spacious the only drawback being that it was a little dark so the lights had to be on a lot. I can recommend a visit Lake Garda and you will not be disappointed if you stay at the Giardinetto

A small family hotel in a very central location. There was, as mentioned in some previous reviews, some traffic noise at night; this could easily be stopped by closing the window and shutter. The service was excellent and the breakfast provided each day was more than adequate with a good variety and choice of items. Sara, in particular, was very helpful as were all the staff. We would return to this hotel with confidence that we would have an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is just a 5-minutes walk from the historic town with many nice shops and restaurants, and a 5-minute walk from the Garda Lake and the train station with direct service to Verona, Venice and Milan. Staff was very friendly and all our needs were met. Prices in the bar are fair.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the hotel was spotless and well-presented. Breakfast (cold buffet) was well-stocked and varied. The room (Rm 1) faced the front and did suffer somewhat from motorbike noise from the lights-controlled junction on the Sat night; ordinary car traffic did not disturb. Would definitely stay again and strongly recommend to anyone!

Staff was most welcoming and accomodating to your every need. Desk clerk made many suggestions of places to eat in the area. Probably only negative was that it was unseasonably warm when I visited (early May)and the hotel had not yet turned AC on. However, everything else more than made up for this. Very pleasant stay.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is very well located for people arriving by train. It is about half way between the train station and the town centre. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was of good quality and there was a good selection for breakfast. The price quoted for the room was also very competitive.

Our twin room was spacious, comfortably furnished and pleasant. The bathroom was also spacious and functional although no bath. Before we went it was hard to find an accurate map but the description of reasonable walking distance from the railway and the centre of the old town, port and shops was accurate. Situated on quite a busy corner, there was no noticeable traffic noise in the evening and the double glazed windows shut out sound. The continental breakfast buffet was very nice & generous and futher items,e.g.eggs were available if wanted. The hostess made every effort to ensure that we had a pleasant stay and we would certainly choose this hotel again.

Very nice Hotel, very clean, new towels every day, air-con in rooms. 10mins walk from Venice - Milan railway station. 10 mins walk from harbour front. It's on a main road which makes the Hotel easy to find although there is some traffic noise - it was not loud enough to bother us.

Hotel came highly recommended from Venere and did not disappoint. Only negative comment would be due to the location being on a main road it was quite noisy during the day but quieter at night. Very central - 5 minutes walk from town centre and train station. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The hotel was excellent and around 10 minutes walk to the lake. Room was good, breakfast was the best continental style breakfast we have come across, with plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful, with most speaking good English, although I think it does help to show willing and try to converse a little in Italian. All amenities in the town were to hand, but due to us holidaying in December; around half of the restaurants were closed. We did find a couple of good restaurants and I suppose if we had looked harder, we would have found more, but quite satisfied with the ones we visited. We would defiantly stop again, in the same hotel and would thoroughly recommend Hotel Giardinetto.

First week Aug family of 4, children 14 and 16 in a quad room. We stayed at this hotel we found it ideally situated midway between the town centre and railway station (less than 10mins walk either way). Very pleasant friendly helpful staff, hotel very clean, buffet breakfast - very good selection. The room we had was a little on the small side as was the the bathroom, but perfectly adequate. It is on a main road but as our room was to the side, noise was not a problem. Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the hotel, hassle free and very relaxing, particularly enjoyed watching the Italian traffic whilst having an ice cold beer on the front terrace, Thank you to the family and staff of the hotel for helping to make our holiday such a wonderful experience and hope to return soon.

Good location within easy walking distance of both the train station and the centre of the town. Even though the room did not face onto the main road, which the front of the hotel faces, the noise was noticeable with the room window open. This was however not a problem at night, with the window closed, as the air-conditioning was fine. The breakfast was good, at least by Italian standards, with a choice of cold meat, cheese, cereal, etc. It would however have been nice to have had a fridge in the room. The hotel staff also made useful suggestions regarding places to eat in the evening. Their suggestions for other places to visit on the lake were quite useful, though I think Garda village is very overrated. We would certainly use the hotel again.

Just a few minutes walk from the train station in Desenzano so it is perfectly positioned for those making their own travel arrangements. Receptionists both speak good English and offer information on activities and trips around the lake. Rooms are a good size and perfectly clean. The hotel is situated on the cross roads of two roads and is quite noisy during the day but by night it quietens down and I never had any trouble sleeping. Continental breakfast with choise of cereals and usual selection of bread, meats and cheese. We really enjoyed our stay here and I hope you do to.

There was a familiar and warm atmosphere spreaded especially by the very kind, flexible, uncomplicated and helpful hotel employees. The location of the hotel between station and centre Desenzano is quite practical if you want to make short trips to e.g. Verona or just walk down for dinner. Highly recommendable if you're not too sensitive concerning little traffic noise. Grazie per questi giorni belli!

We were in Italy during a heat wave, so an efficient air conditioning system was greatly appreciated. The Hotel is in easy walking distance from the train station, and is also ideally situated for the town centre, and the amenities on the lake. The hotel was clean and the service was great. However, we were a bit disappointed with the location as we thought we would be able to see the lake easily from the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to the lake, but there are many other hotels actually on the lake. This hotel is close to the train station and a Chinese restaurant, but it is on a main road and a bit noisy. Some of the rooms have nice windows and balconies, but ours had a very tiny window near the ceiling. But it is a good deal for the price.

Our stay at the Hotel Giardinetto was excellent. We chose this hotel because of other good reviews and were not disappointed. We have 2 kids 11 & 8 and a baby at 7 months and stayed in Quadruple. Even with the crib they provided free we had plenty of room. The Hotel is easy to find and had free parking. It is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel down to the lake and excellent shopping and dining. Breakfast and service was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with maps and advice. English was not a problem. An excellent place to stay and see Lago Garda or go to Gardeland Theme Park. We would stay there again.

A pleasant hotel, conveniently situated a stone's through from the centre of Dezenzano Del Garda. Extremely friendly well run hotel, staff cannot be faulted. Rooms more business like than family run hotel, but it's certainly not something that was detrimental to our stay. It is on the main road that runs around the lake, but then so are the majority of the hotels, having said that, the traffic isn't that heavy, and again this wasn't a negative. Summing up, it's well located, easy to find and very well run, a place I'd recommend friends to stay at.
