Thanks to the Europa Hotel for a great stay, very friendly staff. They need to update the photographs on the website as the room was better than what we expected. Over all a great hotel at reasonable prices with a spectacular view of the lake.

We visited the hotel as a family group 6 in total including a 2 year old. Rooms were lovely - lake view. Staff were helpful and friendly. This is the second time we have stayed here and would definitely stay here again. Would recommend.

We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay in this town. Hotel is nicely located on the lake shore, very close to the town centre. The room was clean and quiet, despite facing the main road, with wonderful views over the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Europa. The room was nice with lake view, but was noisy if windows open. Breakfast was fine but would have liked fresh fruit rather than tinned! We felt it was good value for money.

The only advantages of this hotel are - its location right on the lake near town centre and own parking (but it was hard to find empty place for the car, especially in the evening). The hotel itself is rather old, very simple room with old furniture. The towels that they changed every day were old and worn through. Bed-clothes were changed rare, not every day. Most of the hotel staff did not speak any English, and was not hospitable at all. Except lady in the restaurant, who spoke excellent English, French as well as native Italian. She was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was below expectations. The food was not appetising, orange juice was from a dispenser and did not taste of anything at all Recommend the restaurant next to the hotel - fresh home-made pasta, tasty pizza and reasonable prices with great service.

The location is perfect. It is short walk from the center but located right on the water. There is a small private beach across the street but you can hop a boat close to the center and go to different towns along the lake. Overall the location and quality was a great fit for the price.

It was raining when we arrived at the Europa and the next morning for a while the rain was torrential. Despite this we had a very pleasant stay for two nights. When we checked in the lady gave us directions to the hotel carpark a short way uphill behind the hotel. We had a large comfortable room on the second floor where we had a little balcony with a view across the lake to Sirmione. We had a good lunch in the hotel restaurant where the friendly and enthusiastic lady in charge told us in good English what the choices were. The same lady welcomed us for breakfast the next two mornings. Desenzano is a charming place to visit and the Europa is a relatively short (10/15 minutes) but very pleasant walk along the lakeside into the town centre.

I stayed in a double room but very big with 4 beds. Is a 15 minuts walk from the boats terminal, and the center with a lot of restaurants. The beach is just in front of the Hotel at 20 meters. The restauraNT of the hotel is excellent and a very good price.

Very comfortable hotel and excellent service. When we arrived at the railway station, having travelled from Assisi, there were no taxis available. We telephoned the Europa and asked for them to phone a taxi company but instead one of the staff came in their own car to collect us which was wonderful. The hotel faces onto the lake, a couple of minutes stroll from the two beaches and five minutes walk to the Marina. Excellent breakfasts with large buffet. Recommend it!

We had a great time in the Europa, it is overlooking lake garda and we had a lovely lake view to wake up to every morning! The staff are v.friendly, especially the lovely lady who did all the table waiting herself she was so friendly and helpfull and didn't mind that we were terrible at Italian.

The hotel was just over the road from the water, which was excellent. The parking was a bit of a hike from the hotel, but we were grateful for safe parking anyway. The room was very hot and the airconditioner wasn't working which is a shame on a hot Italian summer's night! The quadruple room was great for families and it was handy having a play room near the reception area.

Good tourist hotel separated only by a small road from the lakeside promenade. Beaches, restaurants, bars and the town centre only minutes away. If Desenzano built a by-pass to take traffic away from the lake shore road, this would be a perfect location. Fond memories of the Europa anyway - especially the staff...

Ideal situation for town centre, lakeside and local public transport. Very welcoming people, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant menus had something for all tastes, good amounts of food and wines at reasonable prices. Only one downside;if you have a room with a lake view, you have to contend with the noise(which with the window closed is tolerable)from the main road which runs past the hotel's front door. Star of the hotel is Emma who is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all local events and places. She speaks excellent English and French as well as her native Italian.

A localizacao é boa, a beira do lago. The room was not 100% clean and the wake up service didn't work. On the check out date, an employee knocked at the door to take us out the room... the hotel is well located and the breakfast very nice!

Our room had air conditioning and was clean and spacious. We asked for a lake view and were given a large room with a balcony and a superb view of the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet. Location is good - only a few minutes walk from the main centre and ferry services across the lake. Recommended - we would definitely go back again.

A good hotel, well located on the shores of Lake Garda i.e. convenient for walking into the town and around the lake, and for car and ferry travel - the boarding stage is only 5/10 minute walk from the hotel. Friendly staff, good food (we went half board) with reasonably priced wines.

A wonderful location. Shame the weather was so cold, but the hotel was warm and welcoming. Staff do not speak wonderfully good English, but it was fun communicating and there was never a problem! Lady in charge of dining room is a marvel! A walking tourist guide! Definitely take her advice on places to go etc. Spa in Sirmione is not really worth a trip! (To be fair, this wasn't one of the places she recommended anyway!) Train Station is a 15-20 minute walk away with good services to Venice/Verona/Milan etc. Buses stop just up the street and Tourist office all local. All in all, VERY satisfied with a lovely hotel in a super report

We had a great stay at the Europa. We loved the area as well and as we had a rental car we decided to come back the following week. The Europa was full so they directed us to their "sister" hotel right next door, the Aurora. We stayed two more nights and had more time to explore all around the Lake Garda area, which is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Several speak english as well as several other languages. The price is a little high compared to other "tourist" areas of Italy but for the Lake Garda area it seems to be the norm. The food in the restaurant at the Europa and the super attention of EMMA was delightful. I will highly recommend both the Europa and the Aurora to my friends and family and hope to go back soon. We stayed in the Europa this summer and had an absolute ball. The staff were amazing and even through the language barrier they did everything they could to sort out anything we needed and always with a smile! The hotel is very centrally placed and has easy access to everywhere - shops, town centre, restaurants, boats, train and buses. We visited Venice, Verona and Milan all from the local train station as well as most of the towns around Lake Garda. The hotel had everything we needed - a fantastic breakfast, train / bus timetables, a beach across the road, a shop next door, a restaurant overlooking the Lake and fantastic staff. We would recommend a say there to anyone.
