It was a fine hotel close to the lake and the town centre, but still it was a quiet place. The town was very nice with good quality shops. It was a good surprice. Breakfast buffet was also good. We would like to come back again.

Excellent location for town centre and lake - literally a hundred metres or so. Clean, spacious rooms, a good breakfast and parking. I would definitely go back.

Hotel is good situated very close to the lake and within walking distance of just some minutes you are in the center of Desenzano. Room was clean and spacious for italian relations. We stayed just one night as a stop over but we would come again.

Good value for its location, but it is an "economy" hotel and I wished for more luxury. I had a double room, single use, so I had plenty of space, but the bathroom was very cramped (I had to walk sideways to get to the toilet), and I was disturbed by noises from the parking lot and from guests in adjoining rooms. My room had a safe, but no hairdryer. The feather pillows on the bed were compacted and gave me a crick in the neck the first night, then I switched to a synthetic pillow that I found in a drawer under the closet and was OK although it smelled of wood. Employees and owners were friendly and courteous, but not wholly professional. The Housekeeping lady began cleaning my room while I was at breakfast one morning, and I had to wait for her to finish before I could get back in. One of the gentlemen manning the reception desk could not tell me where I could buy a bottle of water - surely something every guest wants to know. Breakfast was fairly good, lots of pastries but a little short on fresh fruit, a selection of flavored yogurt but no natural unsweetened yogurt, and coffee was "do it yourself" from a machine. Location near the lakeshore meant it was too far to walk to the station and a taxi cost 10 Euros (including tip). Not a bad hotel if you are on a budget, but if you are used to 4-star accommodation it will disappoint.

The Hotel is in a good location close to beach and attractions. The staff of the Hotel was far from helpful and when traveling with children, safety becomes a huge issue. For my son the bed was right next to one of those European heaters. For a child he was playing and bumped his head and had a big cut. The staff was absolutely cool and would not help in any way, one guy on the front desk would not speak any English or German, but his body language told us enough. So we were on our own and had to seek professional help. We are world travelers and never ever have we seen so little disrespect for guests.

Very helpful staff in a comfortable hotel with a large breakfast buffet. Short stroll to lakeside, with many nearby beautiful and interesting sites we drove to, such as the castle at Sirminone, and GardaLand for the kids.

We're happy with the hotel overall except for one incident. We booked for 8 nights but wanted to change it to 7 by the third night of our stay because we really wanted to spend one more day in the south. But the director of the hotel said he could not let us have our one night room fees back. This kind of upset us a bit as it's quite a lot of money. More flexibility here will be helpful.

The hotel was rather far from Desenzano del Garda station (taking a taxi was a good decision). You get a heavy set of keys (you have to carry them with you when you go out, with the heavy tag, it is larger and heavier than a mobile phone). The room was bright and clean. The TV was tiny but the bed was comfortable. The room did not have a refregerator and the hotel did not have any vending machine. They do have a small bar area in the lobby (served by one person receptionist/bar-tender). They charge 2 euros for a large bottle of mineral water but 3 euros for a small can of soft drink. I have noticed the cafes in Italian lakes overcharge soft drinks (a norm is 5 euros for a can of Coke). The ensuite bathroom (I should say shower room) is a joke. Although it was functioning, it looked like a closet and felt like a closet. It is separated from the room only by a wooden curtain (there is no proper door). I have seen a lot of small bathrooms in budget hotels in London and Paris, but this is the worst one so far. I really did not want to spend time in there at all. It ruined our stay in the hotel. We did not want to encounter such a problem in our holiday. The air-conditioning was ok but slightly weak and noisy (but you expect that from a 3 star hotel). We stayed near the 'gym' (they converted one of the rooms into a gym with some basic equipment). We have not seen anyone using it during our entire stay. The roof and the garden did not offer much (rather disappointing). The breakfast was ok. Not exciting, but decent food. The hotel is about 100m from a beach (pebble beach on the lake). It was about 15 minute walk to the ferry wharf. Do not open the window at night (we saw hundreds of mosquitos outside the window trying to come in). They had one Internet station in the lobby but was broken.

We stayed for five days using the hotel as a base to visit Lake Garda cities as well as Verona and Venice. The hotel is within walking distance to the ferry boat dock however a good 20 minute walk from the railway station. An absolute plus was the use of a computer for internet without any extra charge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked a family room for 3 to include my small son. The room was spacious but sparsley furnished - v small TV, damaged chair and no tea or coffee facilities. These we could have easily coped with however the en suite shower room was delapidated and dirty. I personally cleaned the shower cubicle and the tiles to remove the build up of grime and mould before we could use it. The loo seat was broken. We will not be going back!

Hotel in ottima posizione, quasi fronte lago. Sicuramente ci tornerei.

The staff is absolutely fabulously nice and welcoming. We arrived at 2 o'clock at night and they waited up for us. And they speak english very well. The hotel is situated ideally a few blocks from the centre, which means you're in walking distance from the bars and restaurants but don't have to hear the noise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is in excellent position by the lake. Owners could not have been more friendly and as they were not busy offered us a choice of rooms. Safe was free and they even let me use their internet facility in reception at no cost. We have since recommended the hotel to our friends as value for money was brilliant.
