We stayed at the Admiral for seven nights. The hotel was very comfortable and centrally located for our purposes. Desenzano is an hour by train from Milan and 1 1/2 hours from Venice, and easy bus access to the surrounding lakeside villages made travel to a variety of sites very easy. We were able to see the sites in the big cities but still come back to our quiet village in the evenings. The included breakfast offered good variety and had everything we needed. If there was a downside to our stay it was visiting during the off season when many tourist oriented facilities were not yet operating. The only low point in our stay at the Admiral was that we were unable to use the beautiful roof top terrace because the background music constantly piped throughout outdoor common areas was too loud and destroyed what would have been a peaceful retreat. We recommend this hotel and would definitely return ourselves.

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Admiral Villa Erme. The room, while not exactly huge, was very clean, modern and well equiped. The buffet breakfast was excellent and served in a nice airy dining room. The hot tub looked fantastic, although we didn't actually get chance to try it. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. One thing to note, the hotel is around 25-30 mins walk from the centre and a taxi will cost about 9 euros. I would highly recommend this hotel.

For "A few steps to lake Garda" read ,Cross a main road and walk 100 yds down an alley to an untidy strip of pebbled shoreline. However a short walk along the main road brings you to a small town with restaurants and usual tourist facilities. hotel has a few signs of neglect e.g. rotten boards beside outdoor jacuzzi, cigarette buttes on roof terrace. Good garage parking facilities. A bit of a nuisance having to walk outside the building to reach the indoor pool because the only other route is through the dining room.

An excellent hotel with family friendly service. A tiny bit too far from town. Overall an excellent stay.

All in all our stay was much better than expected, (we stayed 3 night instead of 1) that tells all what is needed. We took the "al a carte" at the hotel all nights and all courses where exellant. Tku very much, Bifn,

We found the hotel and it's standards excellent. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice. We did not use the pool as this was not really outside but we did use the outside jacuzzi which was great. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Going on foot into Desenzano del Garda from the hotel is a leisurely 25 minutes walk which sets you up nicely for the array of food on offer. There is a market on a Tuesday in Desenzano which does get busy but is worth a look. We would certainly return to this hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Admiral Villa Erme. The hotel and facilities were better than we expected nice and clean.Staff friendly and helpful.Although they do serve dinner at the hotel we have not managed to have a meal at the hotel or use the pool and jacuzzi as we were out for dinner every evening. We can certainly recommended a lovely restaurant which is a few minutes walk from the Hotel Villa Erme. The restaurant is called Restaurant Pizzeria Eclipse which is run by a delightful young lady and her staff. Her mum makes all the pasta and everything is home made. The meals, pizzas and desserts are to die for!! Certainly recommend anyone to try. We did every night for 3 nites running!!. Prices very reasonable for Italy.

Modern clean hotel with good facilities and close to the lake. Well positioned for touring the area approx 30 minute walk into Desenzano where there are a good selection of restaurants. Evening meals at the hotel are very basic.

We arrived within short notice with 3 children. Despite low season they arranged the swimming pool area for us only. Very friendly personnel. Changed the rooms immediately to non-smoking. Highly recommended.

Our party, of two couples, stayed at this hotel for 7 days during August 2006. We were extremely happy with our accommodation especially since this was our first visit to Italy. The situation of the hotel makes it an excellent base for touring Lake Garda either by car or by boat. We would have no qualms about recommending this hotel to others.

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was very modern and a good value. It had the best eurpeaon breakfast of the hotel we stayed in on our trip. This is the first time we have used Venere for booking hotels they are excellent. We were able to have dinner at the hotel one evening at an extra fee. It was an extremely good value for the money. The food and wine was excellent. We would definetly stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very gracious and extremely helpful. If you have a low riding car though, the gate rail at the entrance can do bad things to your car! Keep to the left! The staff was very helpful getting my car towed, taxis for the rental car and helping me translate. Just two minor knocks on the hotel - the breakfasts were adequate but not very interesting and the showers were extremely small. The showers were beautiful with multi-directional nozzels but I could hardly turn around in it. When we returned for the car, the second shower was bigger but not comodious either. Restaurant choices in the area were limited. We had 3 meals in town. Stay away from the Osteria on the main road. The little trattoria next to the church past another restuarant was good with a friendly atmosphere. But the hotel, in general, was excellent. Off season, the pool is not heated but the hot tub was on on the roof. I intend to visit this hotel again and would recommend it.

an excellent hotel, all the staff that we had dealings with were really helpful and nice. the actual hotel is lovely well worthy of its three stars, im surprised it hasn't got more. the building and furnishings all looked brand new and freshly painted, there was nowhere that looked in need of a lick of paint. the position of the hotel was really nice, although its not in Desenzano it is in a lovely position just round the corner from the centre of Revoltella, which has a number of restuarants to try out as well as other shops and on the thursday evening of our stay there was a market with lots of stalls to look round. i think if anything, i would have wished different it would be that the rooms had a bath in them instead of, or as well as a shower. Although we never had a lunch or evening meal in the hotel we did have a breakfast which was ample with a good selection of things but the same everyday.

I cant speak highly enough of this excellent and delightful hotel. The hotel, which overlooks Lake Garda, was charming. The rooms were cleaned daily The location between Desenzano and Sirmione suited us. Quiet but with easy access to Desenzano (about 1k)and the nearest village of Rivoltella (500m). There is a good bus service into Desenzano and Sirmione. The hotel sells the bus tickets (1 euro each). The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a vey nice room with a large balcony. The hot tub on the roof terrace was just heaven. Drinks and snacks could be ordered and brought to the terrace. There was an amazing choice of breakfast (buffet style). We only had one evening meal in the hotel as we tended to try different restaurants, but the food and service was excellent. The swimming pool could have done with being heated, but this is a very small criticism of what is a wonderful hotel to stay in and relax. There was a mixed range of guests, young, middle-aged, old and families. The hotel had a nice atmosphere. Exceptional value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. It was fairly new and nicely decorated. The bed was so comfortable it was the best nights sleep in ages! The public areas were great with pool/sauna/hot tub etc. Unfortunately, as we visited out of season we didn't make use of the rooftop sun terrace. When arriving make sure you look for the village of Rivoltella, just outside Desenzano as there are 2 or 3 hotels in the same group. You do need a car to stay here but you can borrow the hotel's pushbikes for short trips. Lovely.

Excellent family hotel with good amenities. The room was excellent, wll appointed and with first class maid service. Breakfast were good quality, constantly refreshed and staff always on hand to assist. The hotel is about 1 1/2 k from the town centre of Desenzano which has a wonderfull relaxed atmosphere. If returning to this area I would certainly use this hotel again and would not hesitate in recommending it.

Thotughly enjoyed oure stay and the balcony of the suite was magnificent! The only downside would be the lack of sunbathing area around the pool as the pool is covered although this may suit many people It was also a two kilometre walk to the centre which became tiring for the kids Otherwise was a great place and would recommend it

The room was nice and very clean and I guess it was newly renovated. It was a little bit small for 3 persons, but we were mostly away on sightseeing during the daytime, so it was ok. The staff was very friendly and the breakfeast was - for south european circumstances - endurable. The plot where the hotel was built on is not very large, so there is not much lawn around the (nice&clean) pool where you can lie in the sun. We enjoyed our stay very much and we'll keep the hotel on the list for our next trip to italy.

We booked this hotel at short notice having read other descriptions. This hotel lived up to our expectations, staff were friendly and welcoming, the facilities very good and we look forward to going back again. The restaurant menu in the evening is a little limited but there are many good restaurants within a short distance should you want more variety.

having never stayed at a hotel "Blind" with my family i was very nervous. I need not have been the hotel was a delight. The staff were more than excellent they were fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble, be it impromptu meals or travel directions(expertly obtained from the internet). the only slight draw back was the hot tub which could have been slightly cleaner. the resort was ok(the lake shore a little dirty) but the hotel was well placed to have the best of both worlds, easy access and peace and quite. TOP MARKS and if im ever in lombardia again i shall travel to stay with u. Cheers or should i say chao.
