Hotel Varonos - Delphi

We had a great experience - the hotel has a lot of character and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. Plus, the view is so incredible that we just bought wine and olives and watched the sunset from our balcony! Great hotel, highly recommended.

Good location for visiting Delphi. Beds were hard, (but we found that to be common all over Greece). Hot water turned off during middle of the day. Staff a little pushy about buying the breakfast at the hotel.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel Varonos. I was impressed with the room, it was clean and comfortable. The view of the valley from the balcony was spectacular. The service by the staff was excellent. Very welcoming patrons.

Fantastic view from our room and very good breakfast. The owners of the hotel were really kind and helpfull. The shower was terrible: impossible to know if you're going to burn or freeze yourself!

Stay long enough to enjoy the neighbourhood and walks around. The Varonos is an excellent friendly hotel.

Excellent place to stay in Delhpi. Extra touches like welcoming wine in the room and a CD of pictures of the area when we checked out were great.

The location in the town's main street is excellent, it's very easy to find, and very convenient to walk to the archaeological site. There are many places to eat nearby, and the bus terminal is right down the street. It's a family-owned hotel and the staff is welcoming. I recommend it.

A nice hotel to stay and a warmfull, welcoming owner. Take time to talk with him, just for the pleasure of it! Good breakfast, but the american coffee served was something to forget... The room was nice, all new and very clean. The Varonos Hotel was a nice place to start and finish our 2 days stay. Delphi is a small place to visit (full of charm) and the archeological site is magnificent.

I reserved a roof top premium suite. I had a great view, the bed was comfortable and everything was as expected. Pos: Great views, clean room, desk was nice, breakfast was good (but not amazing) Neg: Hard beds, the shower was pretty terrible because it would switch from EXTREMELY hot to EXTREMELY cold

Accueil exceptionnel, chaleureux et attentif dans cet hôtel dont la décoration kitsch peut surprendre... Les chambres donnant sur la rue sont un peu bruyantes, mais celles donnant sur la montagne bénéficient, outre le calme, d'une vue splendide.Un seul regret : la salle à manger où l'on prend le petit déjeuner n'a aucune vue.

A rational quality vs. price hotel with a very very kind staff (is a family business). The decoration is obsolete but cosy. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast is copious and has a hight quality. Location is simply: Delfos, the "omphalos" (navel) of the world.

I went there with my wife. The breakfast was excellent. There was a lot of food to choose from!! You could even make an instant coffee (regular or decaf) and a cappuccino as well!! The owner is susch a very welcoming person!! We suggest it to anyone want to travel to Delphi. We will definetely stay there again!!!

I traveled in August 2008. The hotel was very clean, in a great location and the owner was very friendly, polite and helpful (and can speak so many languages!!!). I was traveling on my own and found his advice really useful. I would not hesitate to to return again as long as I could have the same awesome room that over looked the whole valley!!!! Please try it... you'll love it!

The hotel is placed in the downtown of Delphi. Our room had a little balcony, that offered a good panorama. Room was good. Breakfast was splendid, with home made iogurth and cakes. Staff very friendly. There were two computers with free Internet service at the reception.

Excellent pick... convenient in town, owner operated, beautiful view from balcony, free internet (in lobby), reasonable price. Minuses include tiny shower, only flavored coffee at breakfast.

We stayed at Varonos for only one night but rate it as the best hotel during our 4 week vacation. The service is first class - very polite, considerate, and generous. Our triple room was spacious , very clean , air-conditioned, better than the photoes shown in the website.The breadfast was also satisfactory with good varieties. The price/quality ratio is quite good. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends

We were given a warm welcome when we checked in and were offered advice on seeing the historical sites which are walking distance from the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the small balcony. Breakfast was good and included several choices including eggs. Having free use of the computer in the lobby was a plus. There is free street parking, but finding a space can be difficult at times.

Our room was on top roof with balcony. The view of the valley wonderful.

Wonderful, clean small hotel. Lovely breakfast with variety. People very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the shower was so small, one cannot bend over to pick up the soap!

First time in Delfi, only 2 nights. apart from arch. site and wonderful seesight nothing there to visit. Hotel was really good under every aspect, cleanless, breakfast, services (free internet, refrigerator in room), room size ecc

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is excellent and varied. The hotel is located in the modern village of Delphoi with every kind of establishment you may need. The ancient Delphoi is 2 minutes away by car. The view from the balcony is great. Only problems: it is not easy to park near the hotel, and the room we got was right next to breakfast room, so it got a little noisy in the morning.
