Hotel Clelia - Deiva Marina

Really enjoyed my stay. Staff were great and breakfast was excellent. Easy access to Cinque Terra but nice to escape from the crowds. Will recommend and return.

Hotel in small town, but restaurants and shops in immediate area. Hotel set off from street with tree-shaded area and pool (a lot cooler in day or summer.) Restaurant very busy on weekend nights, also a small coffee/cocktail bar (no live music) and ice cream. Staff very helpful (I needed contact lens solution and staff offered to get it for me). About 1 blk from train stop to other areas. Small, but adequate restaurants very close. Beach walk area about 5 min away. Street traffic not really noticeable due to hotel property set off.

We originally booked this hotel some 3 months before we went and we were disappointed to be put in a back room above the kitchen when clearly the hotel was not at full occupancy at the time. The noise all day long and well into the night from the kitchen was awful and on our last night I had to ring the manager at midnight as they were using high pressure hoses in the kitchen and the noise was intolerable. The Manager spoke to the staff and the noise stopped. We spent 2 nights there and were glad to escape. The breakfasts were good and we also ate dinner there which we enjoyed.

The people at the desk were very nice and helpfull. But the service in the dining room wasn't very pleasant, in the morning it could take long before you had a coffee. The rooms have ceramic flooring so if you have an upstair neighbor that liked to go around with highheal shoes it was noisy.

This is a fantatic hotel - close to the railway station; friendly and helpful multilingual staff. The food is great (generous and well cooked). The price was reasonable for the wide array of facilities available (including free internets and phone calls in the rooms). A great hotel for families and couples. Close to the beach.

Stayed in Hotel Clelia the first week of May and found everything to be great. Patricular memtion must be made of Annalisa and Alexandria (the Receptionists) who were so very helpful in every way. The food was a wonderful introduction to Geneose cooking. All in all would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Hotel. One of the trees at the swimming-pool is truely remarkable!

Excellent location, great breakfast and very helpful staff!

Excellent hotel, only about 100yards from RR station, and 50 yards from beach. We had very large, comfortable and quiet room. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable reception staff. Located out of the main crowded Cinque Terra tourist area, but only about a 10 minute train ride into Cinque Terra [Monterossa]. Could buy train tickets in hotel. Great breakast buffet, and excellent evening dinners. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for exploring Cinque Terra.

Very friendly people,speaking laguages,know how to direct you to different places in the neighbourhood. Good food and drinks. they deserve another star in logis `d Italia and Hotel Spotorno deserves one less as they didn`t seem to be that interested in their guests and the food seemed to be more than poor !! Chapeau for Clelia, and last but not least for their owners and staff. All of them were just great ! Thank you and arrivedeci in Deiva Marina !!

We stay in a quad room and were quite comfortable. The breakfast was a nice variety and dinners were delicious. The english-speaking employees were terrific in helping us buy train tickets and even rent a boat. My boys especially enjoyed the unlimited Wi-Fi use in our room. Very nice little village to stay in. We will return again and recommend to our friends.

I guess one should try not to get the room on top of the kitchen if one doesn't fancy to overhear the lively discussion of the staff and the sounds of the dish washer at 0:30 in the morning. However, apart from that it is a really nice place and an excellent starting location for hikes in the cinque terre or around Portofino. The train station is very conveniently close but not noise wise disturbing. the staff is super nice and super helpful. You can park your car free in their yard.

The hotel Clelia is located close to the train station and the surrounding area is quiet. (2 train stops from the first city in The Cinque Terra) The pool is large and inviting, however it is not heated during this time of year. (late Sept)Excellent food served at the restaurant and great service. Relaxing atmosphere and a good price for lodging.

Quiet and good surroundings. very welcomed and warm hospitality.

The tiled floors throughout the hotel make the rooms somewhat noisy as did the tendency of the staff to move the furniture in the dining room at late hours. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay, and we would return.

Restaurant particularly good. No other public areas. Not sure we got the room for which we paid, but it was more than adequate.

Great room and location near the train station and beach. Wonderful pool and breakfasts. Free internet but unable to access many sites including e-kit.

Hotel Clelia is a very nice hotel with excellent staff and accomodations.we had a very good stay with our small children.

The only thing which bothered me was the barking dogs in the surroundings.

A great location just outside the 5 terre with easy, quick train access along the coast. Very helpful staff, a really excellent breakfast and a top class restaurant in the evening. Good value.

The Clelia Hotel is a lovely family run place which is very homely and the staff are very attentive. The pool area is great and you can have breakfast on the balcony. Our room was very nice, not too big but very confortable and spotlessly clean. It had a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing holiday on the lovely Ligurian coast and very near Cinque Terre and Portofino. P.S. They do great ice cream too!

The brother and sister running the hotel are both extremely nice, helpful and friendly. Good service, great restaurant, lovely pool area, great to sit outside on the veranda having dinner or breakfast. Nice room and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was extremely hot that week! Lovely solarium on the third floor where you could sit in the evenings. Well kept hotel. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends. Good base for exploring Cinque Terre!
