Our stay at Hotel Los Balcones was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and treated us like we were family. The room we stayed in was pleasant and adequate. The location made it easy for us to walk to and from city central and we found numerous highly rated restaurants nearby. Timeliness of breakfast was lacking especially if you had early morning tours or a schedule to keep but the food was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was wonderful. We arrived at 6:00 on Christmas Eve and were warmly greeted. We enjoyed a "special" Christmas dinner that was very good. It included choices of appetizers, entrees, side dishes and desserts and everything we ordered was very good. The staff was outstanding. They were friendly, efficient and made our stay and outstanding experience. The hotel itself is very interesting. It was recently converted from a family home to a hotel. The rooms surround and look down on the dining area with breakfast served on the open roof level. I would recommend this hotel to anyone -- the value was excellent, and the experience was delightful.

The hotel was outstanding. The staff was extremely helpful even if needed late at night. It was obvious that much work was done to restore the building into a beautiful, charming place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Cuenca.
