"VACANZE DI NATALE 2000"
In the month of October 1999 Cortina has once more been honoured by the visit of the protagonists of the new film "VACANZE DI NATALE" produced by the brothers Vanzina, Christian De Sica and Massimo Boldi.
This year Megan Gale has been the special guest, who at Hotel Montana has shot the most funny scenes of the film.
In the picture you can see the backstage with the crane used for the shootings in the room on the first floor.

Best Place to stay in Cortina D'Ampezzo. Right in the middle of town. Best prices for a cozy, clean, friendly hotel that has everything you need without paying for any extra services that you don't - such as spas, valet parking, restaurant, room service, etc. Absolutely the best location and best price in town. I will stay here again next time.

Clean, cozy, convenient, friendly staff and perfectly located. The rooms are small, but our double/queen bed was adequate for two tall people. We had room 125, on the third floor, with a balcony, looking out on the walk street and the church. One note: the gluten free breakfast, advertised on the website, was not available even though I asked in advance. For our second morning, however, they had gotten gluten free toast for me, which was nice.

The only unfavorable point was the ringing of the nearby church all day long, from 7:00 am to 9:00 PM at 15 minutes interval.

We found that with the location and quality of the hotel and staff we were totally able to relax and enjoy the holiday.we were dubious after reading reviews about the church bell but discovered that the bell and chimes are silenced between 7pm and 9am anyway the beautiful church and Bell Tower gave to a wonderful setting outside the hotel. we found that being rated only 2 star it was an escellent hotel which at our time of stay catered for all ages and nationalities and would fully reccomend it,

The hotel is signposted on arriving from Cortina. There is free parking but it is very limited. I did not understand the regulations for the public paying car park round the corner. When I asked the receptionist about this, he just kept shouting "no pay" louder and louder so I still don't understand. Apart from him, though, reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, be aware that you can ask them to prepare you eggs, espresso, hot chocolate etc..

The cathedral bell tower was next to my room and was an excellent alarm at 0700! Not for sleeping in. Parking limited and instructions vague. Some noise from room above with children running without much baffling. Great location in center of town. Limited restaurants in off season.

The only slight problem seems to be the size of the breakfast room which at times can be somewhat small and crowded especially when many persons come down for thier breakfast at the same time. But this is a very minor inconvenience.

Great location in the middle of Cortina. As a result, the clock at 7am will wake you but this was fine as we needed to be up at this time to get our day's trekking started. Hotel was a very pleasant place to stay with a comfortable room.

The Hotel Montana was very satisfying. Fora this kind of vacation, if you are looking to enjoy the snow and you just need a place to sleep the Montana is more than enough. There is obviously no luxury but the staff are really nice and helpful, although it is a bit expensive in relation to the overall quality... but then again everything in Cortina d'Ampezzo is.

By far the nicest of the three hotels we used on our last trip. Lovely property with exceptional staff. When we arrived, a bottle of red wine accidently broke in the lobby, and the front desk agent rushed to clean it up and "kindly" assured us that there was no problem. Sorry we only stayed with them one night. Would return any time.

Hotel is located in the heart of the town which means it's perfect for eating, shopping and walking, but not so great for parking. A bit difficult to find the hotel initially. Professionl staff and excellent service. Good breakfast. Recommended.

We,my wife Sara and me, arrived in a rainy day of September. The welcoming and aid to find a parking place for the car was excellent. The room we recieved was nice and large. The dining room for breakfast was too small for all the guests.

Good value. In a pedestrianised area so quiet. If you have a car the hotel car parking is limited, but there is free overnight parking in a car park not far away. I'd certainly stay here again.

This an excellent value for money hotel being very clean and friendly. The only downside to our stay was the building work next door which tended to wake us earlier than preffered. Obviously this was out of the hotels hands.

Everything about the hotel is nice. It is clean, comfortable and lovely. The staffs are friendly and the communal area is spacious and well equipped with essential information about the attractions around Cortina. The only problem is its location. It is located right next to a clock tower which starts to strike loudly for a minute from 7 in the morning and every hour from then. At the time of stay, there is also renovation work on the building next door so giving out noise during the day. Apart from that, everything is wonderful.
