A great place to stay - it was lovely to be in the cooler surrounds in the hills above Cordoba, but very easy to get the bus into and back from town (every 20 minutes from virtually right outside, 1.15euros). Great views of sunrises over the town - make sure you get a photo! There was a super large pool, and plenty of room in the surrounding gardens to escape from others! Worth having dinner on the outside terrace one evening (though no sign of the advertised buffet). And breakfast was great - huge choices. But it was also a snip to get into and back from town for dinner in the evening. A shame the route to the parador is not advertised from further away on the major approaches to Cordoba, but find the western ring road and stay on it and you will eventually see signs that then easily take you there. The front desk staff were not very welcoming or approachable, but we found that to be a fairly common thing in hotels in southern Spain.

This is a beautiful hotel and the rooms and view are stunning. It would have been perfect if the beds had been more comfortable!

Large spacious room although quite dated as was the rest of the hotel. Food was good and consistant. The location meant that we had to travel by taxi in and out of the city centre which cost an average of E6 per trip.

While this paradore, like many,is a couple of kms out of the center it is accommodation.we had dinner ther 2 times during our stay and each time it was excellent. The room was a very good size and in good condition. The staff we helpful ,and it may have been the language barrier, but they did come across a little stiff. Otherwise a very nice hotel.

Food mainly good but had to complain about head waiter's attitude to my complaint about under cooked fish. Otherwise excellent.

This was a wonderful change of pace from the inner city, cramped hotels we stayed in Seville, Madrid and Granada. It was kind of far out, but it was one night. Instead we relaxed at the unbelieveable pool for the afternoon and took a short breather before heading off the next day for the city tour. We had a car, so it was easy to drive down and park where the Parador folks suggested. The only bad part - apparently the electricity is a bit shaky. our converters routinely blew out the fuses in our room. And the hairdryer? A total joke - circa 1970. But we didn't care - the food was great, the pool was lovely, even the oversized towels were a treat. I would stay here again!

It's a modern Parador hotel with good quality: quiet, spacious room with terrace overlooking the city, nice swimming pool, execellent service, and free parking. The hotel is a bit far from downtown (which we knew before coming) but it's only 5 minutes (8-10€) by taxi. Finally it's a good idea not to park in the city because there was a Cross Festival (first week of May) when we were there. The restaurant was just okay for a 4-star hotel.
