We enjoyed our stay at Maimonides very much. The room was comfortable and spacious and very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was excellent. We loved the coffee shop, where the staff was very accommodating. The location couldn't be better. Parking was fine but directions to the hotel need to be more clear for English speakers. Our room was on the front of the hotel, overlooking the narrow street. As a result it was noisy at night due to traffic and hotel deliveries and trash pickup which took place directly under our window, but not noisy enough for us to ask to be moved. Another drawback was the lack of an available computer for guests to access the internet. We would return to this lovely hotel with pleasure.

Nice-sized sunny room; well-kept hotel. Good value. Great location. My only complaint is that the cleaning staff talked loudly and incessantly beginning early in the morning in the halls outside my room, and the rooms are generally not very soundproof. Wifi is free and worked well in my room.

Hotel was lovely but although service was very good, staff gave the impression of indifference. Location on map was fine but one way streets were not indicated which made, actually finding hotel very difficult and we wound up being escorted in by police.

Beautiful hotel, with very competitive price. Our room had its windows on the Mezquita, which meant a beautiful view, but also a noisy wake up in the morning. The room was clean and spacious and so the bathroom. The hotel is extremely well placed in the centre of Cordoba and of easy access. We would strongly recommend this stay for a visit.

The location is excellent just across the road from the Mezquita. However we had a corner room on the first floor overlooking a corner of the Mezquita. The windows are not double glazed. Until late at night there is a lot of noise from the street, and in the morning deliveries start very early and every possible trolley is dragged, slid and bumped across the cobblestones. The hotel really needs to get double glazing for these rooms. Until then make sure you don't get a room overlooking the Mezquita. Also one staff member stabbed his finger at the paper to sign and pointed at my wife, without a word, so have rated low on welcoming

We went to Cordoba for one day/night to visit the Mezquita and chose the hotel for it's proximity - unbeatable. We knew it would be large and touristy and it was. The only real problem we had were noisy groups of students running and shouting up and down the hallways all night, and I do mean all night. Overall, the hotel was as I expected and met our requirements. However, if I were staying longer in Cordoba I would stay in a quieter area, further away from the Mezquita.

Keep attention if you arrive by car, the hotel is in the closed center area. We parked, for free, in the surroundings, about 15 minutes by walk, in Av. de la repubblica argentina.

The reviews and website were accurate - staff were friendly and spoke English; parking was available; the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the location was great for walking to the areas we wanted to see. The only issue was how noisy it was - facing a busy walking path in the major tourist area - wanted to leave window open to stay cool and get air but it was so noisy it was hard to sleep.

First time in Cordoba; didn't eat in hotel as too pricey. The Hotel position is ideal, just across the road from El Mesquite. The room was excellent but marble-floored corridors meant that it was noisy when people walked in late at night and scraped their furniture around in the room above. Plenty of reasonable quality restaurants and bars but couldn't find one that catered well for vegetarians.

Really good hotel. This Hotel is comparable to 4 star hotels I have stayed in in Spain. Spacious modern room, and bathroom. Lots of natural light in the room. Right in the middle of the historic centre. Very much recommended. I stayed with my girlfriend for 2 nights in October, and it was ideal.

The hotel was clean and the room spacious. The foyer area of the hotel is all mosiac tiles both on the floor and the walls - very beautiful. It is right next to the mesquita and we had a view of the bell tower from our room. We didn't have the breakfast but the ajoining cafe did good coffee and pastry.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was good and so was the service, although we stayed only overnight. Still, I think the rate was rather too high, compared withe the rates of other hotels we had been to. I would say a reasonable rate would have been about 33% lower, considering that breakfast was not even included. If I were to go back to Cordoba, I would look for a hotel with a lower rate.

Excellent position, very clean, good view from our room, poor signposting to hotel caused us an hour and a half circling the center in the car and hiring a taxi to find our way through the maze of one way & under repair etc streets, shower did´nt work, bathroom smelly, room noisy from other rooms especially at siesta time, breakfast fair but better value for money in the bar.

The location of the hotel is perfect for somebody who would like to visit Cordoba for 2-3 days. It's just beside the Mesquita and in the center of Juderia (the old part of the city). The hotel is a 3 stars but I could say that it could be a 3+ (just for the rooms because we didn't use the restaurant and the cafeteria). The first floor is close the the street level so with open windows you could feel the street noise (there is no problem about intruders in the room because there are strong bars at the window). Cordoba has some nice and not overpriced restaurants (they are not so much into the tapas style which you can find easily eg in Seville). The access by car to the hotel if you are a tourist is OK but you can't leave the car for more than 15-20 minutes. The free parking is difficult close to the hotel. We were lucky and parked at the river side, because of constructions one lane was closed so we managed to find space there without fearing of a ticket. We stayed for 2 days and we visited Zuchero, a village about 50-60 km from Cordoba. The driving is easy and interesting and the village is nice but the 2 restaurants that we checked (one in a hotel and an other at the square of the village) were overpiced for such a small village restaurants.

Lovely hotel located next to the Mezquita. Nicely decorated, hospitable staff and parking onsite...it is confusing to get to the hotel...GPS was not that helpful once we reached the center of old district. Many streets were blocked, oneway or pedestrian walkways....Hint: Hotel is located directly across from the corner of the Mezquita's bell tower although the streets look like pedestrian walkways if you are staying at the hotel you have access.

The location can't be beat, although it was quite a trick to drive through the historic quarter in our rental car. Our double room had two twin beds; our single was so tiny that my son had to open his suitcase on the bed. Showers inexplicably come out of the long wall of the tub. There was no street noise, but noise from inside the building was excessive; we could hear every door open and close, conversations in the hall, etc.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right next to the Mezquita. We were driving, and it was very easy to find our way to the hotel.Go to the barred entrance of the enclosed old town. Tell the name of your hotel and the entrance opens. The hotel is on the main street. Parking is available in the garage under the building and it is easy to get in and out. You can take your luggage directly to your room with the elevator. The hotel is large and spacious. Reception desk is very helpful. Our room was spacious with lots of closet space. The bathroom was clean, but a bit outdated. There was no noise coming from the street since the room was overlooking a small patio. However, there was noise as people and luggage moved on the beautiful marble hallways. Overall this is a very nice hotel with good value for money.

The rooms were very nice except we were over the lobby and at the front of the hotel so it was quite noisy in the evenings / night and were then woken by the road noise / bin men in the early morning. The walls of the rooms were also obviously quite thin as we could hear even the curtains being drawn by the next door room.

We drove into Cordoba very late in the evening and called ahead to get directions. Martha the receptopnist was very helpful and even made room for our car even though their lot was full. The restuarant that she recommended for dinner, Don Pepe's was delicious! Ask for a table on the rooftop for a view of the city. This hotel is more beautiful than the pictures and is right across the street from the Mesquita in the historic section. Our room was large and quiet even though we had a view! I am looking forward to staying there again and would highly recommend this hotel.

Apart from the check-in, which took nearly 20 minutes (there was only one person being served before me but the single receptionist broke off every couple of minutes to answer phone calls and queries from passing colleagues and other guests) this was quite an enjoyable place to spend a few days in. Beautiful entrance hall and the arrangement of the rooms around a central garden all add to the "Moorish" feel. Good buffet breakfast and restaurant menus. Some noise from room above(heavy chairs scraping on marble floor) interrupted sleep pattern on a couple of nights. The hotel is situated alongside the wonderful Mezquita which is invaded by thousands of tourists (and many school parties) throughout the day so don't expect peace and quiet surroundings!

Location right beside the Mezquita excellent. Rooms a little on small side, but clean and comfortable and bright. Air con just about adequate but then it was very hot outside (38C). Nice to have small balcony. Breakfast very good and we had it in the outside terrace, though tables not always laid up making it unclear that breakfast could be enjoyed in this lovely space. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is excellently located being next to the Mezquita. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included but paid extra for it anyway. This hotel has the great advantage of location! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful. The restaurant was adequate for breakfast, but the number of tour groups staying there discouraged us from trying dinner there. The stay was only marred by the construction in the street outside the hotel. In fact, when we arrived in a cab, we had to pull our rolling luggage up the street and across a flimsy wooden plank and through the snack bar area to even get into the hotel.

We found this hotel to offer excellent value and location in the old section of Cordoba. It offered services and looks that we would expect to be found at higher starred hotels, and at a very reasonable price. The lobby and public areas were really beautiful in a Moorish style with lots of tile and warm colors. The location is amazing, facing the wall of the Mezquita and only about a half a block away from the entrance. It was very easy to walk to all of the major sights inside the walled portion of the city, as well as many restaurants and bars, which was good since we did not have a car. Taxi from the train station to the hotel was a little over 5 EU. The customer service offered by the hotel was also excellent – the reception staff not only recommended the best way to get to Granada but they also called the bus station to get the schedules and prices for the next day, including having to endure being on hold for a very long time. We found them to be very gracious and they recommended a couple places for tapas and drinks as well as dinner. The double room was pretty large and had two single beds pushed together that were adequate but not terribly comfortable. Still, this is very common in Spain and we didn’t have any problem with it. The room was good sized, clean and very quiet. It didn’t have a lot of character but did include a minibar, TV, and good water pressure in the bathroom (which was large and featured a bidet). Even though it was quite hot outside, the air conditioning was extremely efficient and we actually had to turn it pretty far down to keep from being too cold! View was the side of a building but we were paying rock bottom price so did not have any complaints that we didn’t have a Mezquita view! All in all, this was a great value on a hotel and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a decent hotel at great prices.

The hotel is very close to the Mezquita, in fact it couldn't be any closer! An absolute nightmare to find if you are new to the city and it's bewildering one way systems. To gain access to the underground car park you have to drive through the crowds that throng around the walls of the Mezquita! Best to park as close to the mesquita as you can, find the hotel on foot and then work out how to drive there! Once you have mastered the parking it couldn't be better positioned - if it's the centre of town that you want. The hotel has a very nice lobby and the restaurant is okay with a nice enclosed patio and plenty of natural light. It is inclined to be noisey externally due to it's position - but for me that adds to its charm and location...

There is a common problem in practically all Spanish hotels: The translation of the card in the restaurant(s)particularly into English and German is faulty and needs improvement by the respective native speakers of these languages. However, I must admit that we had quite some fun with "revuelto", which appeared in German as "Durcheinandergebrachtes", and with "rapo de toro" which turned into "tale" (instead of tail) in English and - logically- into "Erzählung des Stieres" in German...

The Maimonides hotel has a very good location, friendly staff and spacious rooms with nice bathrooms. We had 2 rooms on second floor with direct view over the plaza around the Mezquita, absolutely perfect. Except for this crazy guy located just on the corner of the Mezquita playing and singing in a terrible way Ave Maria during the night between December 24. and 25. At least my wife says he played Ave Maria. But we cannot blame the hotel for that.

Unluckily, there was a power outage, and there were some problems due to that. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place, very lovely and well located.

Our only complaint was our Rooms which were 109 and 110 were above the entrance doors and were very noisy on people entering and leaving the hotel, otherwise it was certainly more than we could have hoped for for the price we paid. Excellent authentic spanish hotel.

We stayed here 19-22 October, 2004. When we arrived at this hotel we thought it was a 4 star, rather than a 3 star. Pretty marble lobby, nice courtyard, nice room with good view. Then the door lock wouldn't work (repairman called), the tv wouldn't work (repairman called), the air conditioning wasn't working at all for 3 very warm days, and then the elevators broke. Agreed, the location is great, but parking isn't free--it costs 12.75 euros a night. After 3 weeks in Spain, this was our most expensive (405 euros for 3 nights, plus garage fees) and least satisfactory stay. We tried to talk to the manager, but he was always "out." We thought it was a lousy value for the money. We would not stay here again.

Finding the hotel by car was not easy. On no map was the hotel clearly placed. Instructions for entering Cordoba old city would have been helpful - now that the Roman Briudge is closed. The new bridge is not on any current commercial map! The hotel car park was very useful but expensive. The staff, on arrival, were very helpful and clear about parking and the hotel systems

Extremely well located and great price/quality. Had hard times finding it as it is in the old town. You just will have to drive narrow street that is only for "authorized vehicles". The hotel has a garage as well. Great tapas just around the corner at Pepe's if I remember the name correct (ask from the reception).

L'auto e' assolutamente sconsigliabile. In Andalusia andateci in aereo e usate i mezzi pubblici (eccellenti).

Terrific position, just besides the Mezquita, and really a nice hotel. The best price/quality ratio I've ever found. Private parking for additional 13 Euros per day, but great great hotel

This was a very nice hotel and a good price. The lobby was especially pretty and the location could not be beat. My room was small but pretty. Except for forgetting my wake-up call, so that I almost missed my train, the front desk was friendly and helpful. I would definately stay there again!

Maimonides is a terrific location with all of the old city within walking distance. The staff was zealous in their help and cheerfully provided directions and assisted in dinner reservations/recommendations.

Our 3 night stay at Maimonides was very comfortable. The location right across from the Mosque is its greatest asset. The reception staff were very competent & helpful with arrangements for restaurant reservations, taxis, etc. The breakfast was very good but was not included with the room rate. Our room was large enough if a bit dark with only one window facing a courtyard. The bathroom was very nice with all modern ammenities. My primary problem was the thinness of the walls; I could hear the conversations & clicking heels of maids & guests walking outside. All in all, the Maimonides is a perfectly fine tourist or business class hotel in a great location.

Perfect location, modern hotel. The only 2 problems were: we did not get a king or queen siz bed in spite of the fact that we asked in advance, and the noise level in the hotel.

This hotel is right in the middle of the old Jewish quarter, and across the street from the Mesquita. Our first room was very good and had 4 windows overlooked the street, but was extremely noisy early in the early morning, with loading and unloading of beer kegs. The staff willingly moved us to an inner quiet room. Food and staff were excellent. We'd recommend, but look out for room 106 !

A good hotel in the center of the town, just across the Mezzquita. A lot of restaurants in the area. An excellent breakfast buffet and a good price/quality rate.

An excellent location to visit the main places of interest in Cordoba, all of which are within a 5-20 minute walk. If you are arriving by car the access is via a pedestrian precinct surrounding the Cathedral, this can be a bit confusing as the sign idicates "No Entry except authorised vehicles."
