Rooms in second of two nice patios opposite entrance of Mezquita, window looking into the patio. Very quiet, fine bathroom and beds. Advice for car owners: park vehicle on the other side of the Roman bridge and walk.

We booked a double bed room in January for our staying in July and we got a very good price. The hotel is lovely, the patios are great! The room is tidy and clean, the bathroom as well, we did appreciate the aircon, we had a wonderful sleep except the fact that there were a few kids next door and they were pretty loudly early in the mornings but this is not something that happens every day. We had breakfast there and it was really good. We would definitely return there, it's just in the middle of the JUDERIA, the old part of the town which is just charming at night and during the day. You can't park there but we did find a parking lot on the other side of the river quite easily. I do recommend this hotel as for 1 star it's a wonderful good quality charming hotel!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days in Los Patios, Cordoba. The Hotel is strategically located in the very heart of the historical centre. Our room (112), overlooking from the balcony the traditional courtyard, was extremely neat and cosy; the bathroom was large and spotless. The personnel are polite, discreet and very kind. We became familiar with the place in a few hours and we truly had a great stay.

We were given a very warm welcome by the manager. The rooms were lovely but understandably, a little noisy until about 11.30pm as theer is a retaurant in the 'patios' which most of the rooms look out on to. This did not really bother us though. The hum from the fridges in the restaurant, under our room were a little annoying but we couldn't really see how this could be remedied. The manager gave us a wonderful itinerary of things to see slightly off the tourist beaten track which we were so very pleased to see. The situation of the hotel is second to none, being almost opposite the front door to the Cathedral/mosque. We had an excellent lunch in the restaurant and the breakfasts were very good value too. I would not hesitate to return and hope to do so before too long.

We were in Cordoba for only two reasons, the Mezquita(great Mosque) and the night view of the bridge. Neither disappointed. We did not realize we were staying in a "budget" hotel. The hotel location was excellent, you could almost touch the Mosque from the front door of the hotel but it also meant you had to listen to the bell from 6:30am-midnight!

Across the street from the Mosque and the restaurant entrance was very pretty, as in the photos. However, the room was minute and awkward, and a very cold night when heating was not on. Later found inaccessible switch hidden behind a jammed cupboard. Manager changed room (no charge at my insistence)and thereafter looked after me well.

This hotel is right across the street from the Mezquita. In spite of it opening out onto a courtyard/restaurant, it was remarkably quiet. The room was small, but very adequate. I loved this hotel so much that I booked an extra night. I recommend it highly to anyone visiting the historic district in Cordoba.

I cannot praise the Hotel Los Patios enough. The staff were kindness itself, and immensely helpful, proactive in offering advice and generous enough to offer the odd drink on the house, as well as being wonderfully smiley and welcoming at all times - whatever the request, however daft the question, and however woeful the attempt at Spanish (most spoke very good English too). As a solo traveller, their friendliness made the difference between a good trip and a great one, really making the whole weekend even better than I'd expected (difficult given I was there for the Davis Cup semi-final between Spain and France, a thrilling event anyway), and making me certain I will some day return to Cordoba - and hopefully to Los Patios. The daily rates are astonishly low - okay, Los Patios isn't one of those bland, chain luxury hotels, so doesn't offer things like a gym, pool etc, but it is in an amazing location - right next to the Mezquita, amidst the cute alleys and whitewashed tabernas of the Juderia and the White Neighbourhoods (named after the buildings) - and more than makes up for the lack of spa facilities with wonderful service, a lovely atmosphere and a lovely patio restaurant, not to mention little additions like a TV in the room, balcony (in my case) etc. Two thumbs up!

It is a charming hotel, right opposite the Mezquita, with a good restaurant attached. Our room, which was very spacious and excellent value for money, looked out on to a small patio, which was very Spanish, but the cobbled stones were not suited to suitcases being dragged along at midnight as late guests arrived. I would recommend a restaurant Bodega Mezquita, just left out of the hotel and first left again. We had some of the best meals there, for very reasonable prices and one waiter actually spoke English!

We drove to Cordoba from Sevilla and had a very difficult time finding the hotel. We had Google direstions which were fine but one of the major roads to the hotel was closed. We eventually got there thanks to having a working cell phone and the help of the concierge. Great location in Cordoba,it is within walking distance of everything. The patio is a restaurant and the food is good. Hotel has no elevator and you go through the kitchen service area to get to the stairs. Friendly staff. Very good for the price. Very good Flamenco show around the corner; go out the door, turn left and another left and the location is about 50m up the street on the left. One hour show with only 20 seats so make a reservation. Dinner and the show for 30 euro.

There were a group of 8 of us who stayed in Las Patios for 2 nights. It is in a wonderful location, very quiet, and whilst the rooms were fairly basic, the were very clean and a good enough size. Los Patios was a huge surprise for us, as it was the least expensive of all of our hotels during our recent visit to Spain. It was in a perfect location right across from the Mesquita. All of the staff members were wonderful. The restaurant served outstanding food; breakfast, lunch and dinner. We walked from the train station to the hotel in about 25 minutes, through parks. The location of this hotel couldn't be better but it really only offers the basics as a place to stay. The room and bathroom were clean-ish and a little rough around the edges and although we were on the ground floor looking out onto one of the patios the windows were shuttered so it was dark even during the day. The staff were very helpful although we didnt try the breakfast or other restaurant facilities.

The room was very clean, bed was decent, staff were friendly and helpful, especially Frederico. Some of the bathroom fixtures were a bit worn, but serviceable. As stated this is the best location for a visit to the Mezquita (we looked onto it from our window), about 20 meters from the entrance. The converse is this is a highly tourist-oriented street, which perhaps one might appreciate. This is a good quality, fairly standard small European hotel - great value for the price. PS - when I booked my reservation on Venere, the system went down right at the end of the process. I had to re-do the rez, and consequently there ended up two reservations in my name at the hotel. Frederico was very nice about disregarding the duplicate - no charge. Hopefully this doesn't happen regularly to Venere users.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the historic city center literally across the street from the Mezquita and Cathedral! The staff provided helpful tips regarding the Flamenco festival taking place that weekend and all the staff we encountered understood some English. Conveniently located in the heart of Medieval Cordoba. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not a place to relax as the accommodations were very bare-bones, BUT if you are planning to spend all of your time out sight-seeing, they are definitely a good deal! My single room was equivalent to a cramped dorm room with a modern bath. No cell phone or Wifi service, but the room has a land line. Great for a budget traveller on a short stay. Patio breakfast OK, and the gift shop, which had some items I didn't see elsewhere, gives ten percent discount to hotel patrons.

If you are looking to stay directly across the street from the Mezquita, this is a good choice. However, it's in the heart of tourist central, going with the territory. I had envisioned a hotel with a relaxing patio but it's a large patio functioning as a busy restaurant, so there was quite a bit of noise and smoke. At night it was quiet at least.

The entire stay in this hostal was excellent. The hostal was everything that a mature group were looking for in very typical Spanish surroundings. The restaurant was well used by the locals and the menu del dia was good value for money. Parking was provided by the hotel next door, but you do need to know that when entering the barriered surrounding area, you need to tell the barrier controller that you are a tourist staying at this hotel and the berrier will be raised to allow you access. The hotel and restaurant staff were most helpfull and we would recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes to see the sights in this city.

stay at hotel was excellent in all respects, well situated. however one comment is necessary concerning banks in madrid, not cordoba. NO BANKS WILL ACCEPT TO CHANGE 500 EURO NOTES INTO SMALLER DENOMINATIONS, let alone shops which I think is regrettable. They ask for the notes to be credited to an account first....how on earth do they expect a tourist to have a bank account in spain!!!!Only one bank in Cordoda did it.

Our stay was made by Federico, not least because he directed us to part of Cordoba we might never have seen, but also because his helpful advice was invaluable at all times. The only disappointing aspect was the restaurant food. The restaurant is in a typical courtyard, but suffers from the now normal custom of being covered with glazing and suspended canvas shades; as these are never drawn back it feels a rather gloomy space.

Very good value for money indeed! The hotel room is spotless clean and quite, bed is comfortable. Hotel is just facing the bell tower of the mosque, I woke up in the morning with singing of bird and the sound of bell, it gives such a peacefulness. I'm a frequent traveller and have been staying in many hotels at difference places, I would say this is really a nice hotel to recommend.

Great location right in front of Mesquita. Unfortunately, driving to it and parking are difficult. Lovely restaurant in courtyard

The hotel is located right across the entrance to the mezquita, is very pretty, and the staff is highly competent, cheerful, informative and can speak English. My special thanks to Manolo, Francisco and Sergio who all made my stay special! I will definitely stay there again in case I come back and will recommend this to my friends and family.
