Only one problem: hotel gave us a small room in the basement, without any view on the Mezquita or the surroundings.

The hotel is on the opposite side of the river to the Cathedral and, therfore, in an excellent position. Driving directions to the hotel could be improved. Parking under the hotel was convenient but expensive. Breakfast was excellent but we did not find the dinner menu sufficiently attractive for us to eat dinner at the hotel.

10 out of 10. This hotel is in an ideal position to visit the historic parts of Cordoba if you arrive by car as we did.

The front desk personnel were a little cool, although not unhelpful. They just didn't go out of their way as far as cordiality was concerned. The breakfast was overpriced. The distance from the old Roman bridge and into town is a good walk in the right weather; in the heat of summer or in cold weather it could be daunting. It's much quieter on this side of the river, but getting to and fro is not a casual affair. Otherwise, a nice, modern alternative to the tourist-laden historical section on the other side of the river.

Well located : crossing the roman bridge you get the cathedral(the top monument in Cordoba!),all the other main historical sites and the restaurant area (10 min.walk).The hotel is modern and rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.Easy to reach by car which can be parked on the road or in the Hotel garage(16 €/day).Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant(13€/person) or you can have a continental breakfast in the hotel bar at 4-5 €/person.

Positives ... good quality rooms, wifi etc, close (15 mins walk) to the Mezquite. Not so positive .. pool tiny, parking expensive, and would benefit frmo better instructions on access .. satnav tries to take you the wrong way up a one way street.

The hotel is located directly across from the bridge which takes you to the Mesquita. The location is perfect for touring the old centre. There's a lovely pool on the roof terrace, which is great when it's 44 degrees in the summer. For the price this hotel far exceeds my expectations, and I'd return again for sure.

Even though the price of the parking is very high - 16 euros per day - I thing that Hesperia Cordoba it´s a nice hotel. The surroundings are very nice and the view from the hotel is very beautiful.

On the whole very pleasant stay.Stayed for one night late Oct 09. We got talked into up grading to a "room with a view" - we got the view but we also got the noisy traffic all night long on that side of the hotel building!Having said that the room was very spacious with a lovely clean bathroom. The hotel really is ideally situated - a short walk, over the bridge into the old city. Exceptionally friendly and helpful receptionist. a highly recommendable hotel.

Great location to visit the city, just across the old bridge (pedestrian now) in front of the mezquita. Wonderful view if you have the chance to have a room that allows you to see the Guadalquivir River and the old city. Swimming pool too small and overcrowded.

This hotel does not deserve it's 4 Stars. We had the worst room in any 4 star we have stayed in any european city. Our bedroom "view" was a large Butane gas tank and a grubby patio. The much vaunted rooftop pub/ bar was non existent. There is a serious shortage of poolside loungers and towels. In short there was no poolside service. The reception staff were on a sales kick trying to flog us breakfast at a discount. We stayed 3 nights in what appeared to be a half empty hotel and got the worst room there. Beware this hotel!!

Excellent view of the Mezquita from room. Just across river from the Mezquita, convenient transportation to and from the bus and train station on bus 16. Stayed in several hotels during a two week Spain vacation, this was easily the best and among the least expensive.

I was there on holiday. Good position, beautiful view. Spacious room, good breakfast. Employees could be kinder. The map on the hotel website is wrong. To reach it, you must turn right two roads before the river (not one, since that street is one-way).

A little tricky to find, even with a TomTom GPS that kept trying to direct us up one-way roads the wrong way. We staying in room 120, just opposite the elevator and one of two rooms on that floor with marble outside the room, so it was a little noisy in the morning. Beds were very stiff, and double room consists of two twin beds pushed together as most of Spain. The rest of the rooms have carpeting outside. This room is on the front with a great view of the mezquita, bridge, and river. Quiet out front, but we could not get the heat to work until opening and slamming shut the window, which has a sensor on it. Great location since it is less than 10 min walk from the mezquita on the opposite side of the river. There is a great little museum on the history of the city inside the former bridge tower just three minutes walk from the hotel. The bridge is open to walk across directly to the mezquita. We didn't park inside the garage underneath the hotel, but used the available--free--street parking. We skipped the overpriced buffet and slept late, so there were only a couple of pastry options available in the restaurant, but the service was efficient, clean, and friendly. Two quick internet terminals in lobby area, one euro for 15 minutes, three euros for one hour. Overall, this is an excellent location for a trip to Cordoba.

What a lovely hotel, A little way away from Cordoba`s Mosqes and churches but the 10 min walk is pleasant across the river. The staff are fantastic they will do almost anything to make you stay a good one. Eat in the restaurant and have a relaxing time in the poole area. Great for kids and families. I will be back to see the Mosques and to stay at this hotel. My family enjoyed the 3 days here!

Breakfast was poor and the coffee was the worst I have ever tasted in Spain. At 12 Euros per head it does not represent value for money. On the second day we had coffee and croissants in the cafeteria which was much better quality. Hot water failed on both afternoons of our stay, causing inconvenience.

Directly across the river from the Mosque, but this means a 3 Km walk to get there as Roman Bridge being rebuilt, therefore closed. Solid, average 4-star hotel, no significant deficiencies. Restaurant seems expensive, but cheaper eateries next door.

The daily breakfast price is too much in comparison to food offered. The room price should include the breakfast cost. In addition, food offered is not diversified enough.

Overall very happy. Bear in mind that the restaurant is not dedicated to dining (as I feel it should be in a 4 star hotel) but also serves as a bar and as a space for families. The poolside space and rooftop bar with view of Mesquita do however, compensate.

Excellent hotels with views over the river to the historic centre. Very comfortable rooms and good service. Swimming pool was very welcome. In general we took meals elsewhere, so can't really comment on the food. Would definitely choose to stay at the hotel again.

This was a very nice hotel in a good location. My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint since I was in Spain, was that the hotel staff did not speak much english, so we had a few communication problems, but got everything straightened out in the end. I would recommend this hotel.
