Nice small hotel right beside the Mezquita. Can't beat the location. Parked the car on the street by the river that is public parking and didn't go near it for three days. Hotel is right where it is supposed to be on the map. Problem is the one way streets and blocked off streets in that area. Plus the street signs that direct you toward that area suddenly stop when you are about 1/2 mile away. Then it is "The Lost City". People at the front desk were great. Lots of recommendations if you wanted them. Very courteous and friendly. Room was ok, older building so don't expect great soundproofing. Yes, some people in Spain do get romantic on occasion, deal with it! GREAT location, clean, courteous, a little atmosphere. I liked it!

Fantastic location in old Cordoba just opposite the wall of the cathedral. The staff was compeent and helped in booking events even out of the city. The atmosphere of the hotel is simply great.

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and provided us with a map and suggested key points of interest. We also appreciated that they explained where we could park for free - in an area across the river that was about a 10 minute walk. We did have a few complaints - the lighting in the bathroom was poor (they changed the lightbulb so this issue was addressed) and one of bed coverings was very obviously not clean (I chose not to complain about this). The location is great - next door to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of the Jewish Quarter and city centre. It's also close to a flamenco club and some excellent restaurants and tapas bars. Overall, a good place to stay.

We spent four nights at the Hotel and were very impressed with it overall but particularly with the excellent advice we received from reception. The breakfast was very good. The hotel location was very close to many sites and virtually at the city end of the lovely Roman Bridge. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Room was nice, hotel was good, public areas nice. Location good - although you need some confidence if you are driving due to the location within the 'prohibited' zone and the very narrow streets. Parked on public street across the river, which was OK but seemed a little insecure. Breakfast was a little pricey at 8 Euro, but we just used the cafe instead.

Wonderful locaton. Lovely hotel with fine facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value. No view to speak of from the room, but I think it's the best place to stay in Cordova--right across the street from the Mesquite.

Great location to the old town - right in the heart of the city - behind the beautiful Mezquite-turned-Cathedral. Driving was not that hard to the nearby parking carage (as long as you print the maps from Google - do not use written instructions as streets names are not always marked). Hotel itself had a really good breakfast and was always very clean.

We spent our first 2 nites of our 18 day vacation in Andalucía Span at this lovely hotel in Cordoba and were very pleased. We arrived a bit early and exhausted but they accommodated us and had our room ready. They treat you like a 4* hotel and the lobby/columns, being part of the original structure over 500 years old is a wonderful touch! The hotel has about 15 rooms on 2 floors; very quaint. It has an elevator for those who need one, altho it's small and very slow. We requested a room with 2 beds but they booked us a room with a single queen and unfortunately rooms with 2 beds were not available for that evening. The upside to this misfortune is "outside" rooms are a bit larger and a wonderful Juliet balcony overlooking the street and a great view onto the Mezquita. The front desk gal showed us rooms with 2 beds that would be available the next evening but we discovered that all the rooms with 2 beds have no outside windows... they look into the enclosed courtyard and they are a bit smaller. Those rooms are a bit dark so I felt rather confined and claustrophobic so we opted to stay in the outside one bed room. I rated the rooms a 6 as a comparison to US hotel rooms. They are on par with the sizes of other European hotel rooms which normally run small. The hotel was full yet very quiet and the rooms that have outside Juliet balconies have double glass doors to cut down on the street noise. We opted to have breakfast at the hotel and the food was tasty-typical European breakfast of breads, meats, cheeses, fruits, coffees, teas and yogurt. This hotel is perfectly located to walk to all the attractions in the old part of Cordoba as well as lots of restaurants so you do not need a car. There is an ATM just a few steps away and a highly rated tapas bar Bodegas Mezquita a few steps further. Hotel is just a 10 min cab ride to/from the train station. At check out, we left our luggage secured in the "Library" room until it was time for us depart.

The hotel is located behind the mosque. And while there was some street automobile/horse carriage noise, it's really minimal. The location is great. You have to be careful about finding a place to eat but there are many places just off the tourist square around the mosque that are good to excellent. There's a Roman well in the patio of the hotel, and many of the attractions are within walking distance. But even the center of town is not far and for shopping very close by.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The location was excellent - right across from the Mezquita. Our room had a small balcony facing the Mezquita. The room was spacious, charming, very clean, and the bed was excellent. The hotel has the charm of a spanish hotel with a lovely courtyard. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel was a great value! We would certainly stay there again when visiting Cordoba and highly recommend it. Nancy and Warren Westchester, New York, USA

The location is wonderful and the room is quiet. Although the room is not so much spacious and the bed is not so much soft, we enjoyed our stay. The building has nice taste! When you take a taxi to the hotel, be aware of the location as the name of the hotel is not indicated in big size.

This was a lovely Hotel in a magic town. You could really breathe the history in here. The staff was very helpful, nice and professional. The rooms were a bit tiny but of course it belongs to the history of the Inn since it's from the 17th century. We had a room on the ground floor and you could feel the lack of air. But it was ok since we were out all day discovering the town.

This Hotel is a Lovely Hotel situated next to the Cathedral of Cordoba. Further down the street is the Arab baths where you can have wonderful cold , warm and hot baths as romans did and a aromatherapy massage. This is very close to the Roman Bridge and the Staff are welcoming and can't do enough for you. The atmosphere of this Hotel is amazing with a traditional cordoba indoor patio. Highly Recommended

Wonderful location across the street from the Mesquita, which is especially handy because the mosque is free up to 10 am - and less crowded early on. We were only overnighting, but everything was excellent. Room spacious, quiet because internal, with a balcony onto a charming patio. Breakfast room and quality good, price 5 euros. Reception area beautiful. Staff very helpful (we arrived late because planned trains booked out).

Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to actually get to hotel by road because of major roadworks we were not told about - even if we had been able to access hotel, there was nowhere to park, even whilst unloading car as it is right NEXT to Mezquita in old town with narrow cobbled streets. The car park belonging to hotel was a LONG walk away with suitcases so had to park in road with meters and keep "feeding' them! Was not aware that the room did NOT have window to outside world, only internal courtyard - felt very claustrophobic!

The hotel was not easy to find and whilst we did easily park for free, the parking was over the river about 10 mins walk away. The hotel was very difficult to find. This was not helped by the fact that the signage did not give the full hotel name. I think it said something like hotel vallina It would be easier to park close to the cathederal, walk to the bottom end of the cathedral and find it first. You could check your bags in then go move the car to the free parking. Otherwise a nice small hotel and ideally situated for sightseeing. The cathedral is the best place to go - inside it is amazing!

What a beautiful and comfortable hotel right beside the Mesquita. Perfect position for sightseeing, the room was comfortable and quiet and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was just as well that the hotel was so convenient as we had to retreat from the heat every afternoon. Would recommend this hotel happily.

Charming hotel and excellent location. Due to it going to be the european capital in 2016 there is a lot of work going on. Unfortunately right behind our hotel and this did wake us up at 7.30 a.m with drilling and hammering!! You could hear adjoining rooms too. The car park was 5 minutes walk away not too bad but very tight space given to us don't have number 191. Overall though pretty good Breakfast could have been better by having yoghurts, there were none. No cereals just ham and cheese (german) and croissants (french) but adequate bread for toasting so we did not starve.

This was a lovely hotel right next to the Mesquita so perfect for popping back to during the day.The reception area and two public rooms were delightful, one cosy and one very open with lots of plants including a divine jasmine. I can still smell it! My only critisism of this hotel is the breakfast, just adequate but very little choice and nothing cooked.

Only issue was noise from other rooms - which was only a small problem once in a while. Luckily, the "noisy neighbors" were there just one night. Desk staff very helpful and eager to provide advice. They tended to recommend pricey restaurants, and we preferred to dine cheaper so didn't take them up on their recommendations. Found great tapas at the end of the block to the east.

Best hotel we stayed while in Spain. Everything was included in the price, like internet and breakfast. It was a great deal. The only problem was getting in from the road. A bollard blocked the road and could not access without help of a taxi to lower. Need some better signage. But great deal.

We have been to Cordoba the first time for 2 days. We liked the hotel very much. It´s situated in the centre directly beneath the mezquita, so that you can get to all highlights by foot. In the night it`s not completely quiet, but it`s ok. The rooms are nice and very clean, the breakfast is international and ok. People are very friendly. The inner courtyard and the TV-room are very nice.

We stayed in this hotel in March 2008, and we payed 70 Euros per night including breakfast. The location is excellent, right next to the Mezquita, the important sights can easily reached by foot. Breakfast was good, and the room was very nice. However, the windows were not soundproof, so we could clearly hear every car that passed on the cobblestone street below. Although the street was not busy, this was a bit disturbing.
