Very well situated, good attention but I suppose one pays more for the situation than the hotel in itself. To take full advantage ask for rooms facing the Mosque.

Hotel in great location directly opposite Mezquita, but hotel itself substandard. Our room was of 2 star quality. Airconditioning in our room completely ineffective so overnight the hotel provided a fan instead (it was a +40C day). Window looked into light well, so no breeze available to relieve stuffiness of room. With hindsight we would have preferred a better hotel and a walk to the Mezquita (since we walked all over Cordoba anyway).

The Hotel is just in front at the Mezquita, the old mosque transformed in Cordoba's Cathedral, a real jewel. Even if the hotel is in the heart of historical center (pedestrian area), is equipped with all conforts and very quiet. I think is just a little bit complicated to join if you have a personal car, but the hotel have a parking underground. I don't know fares because i reached Cordoba with the very confortable spanish rails (42 minuts from Seville Santa Justa Station). Breakfast (not included) very good, just a little bit expensive. A very good stay unfortunately ruined by the rain

Excellent location next to the Mezquita. Our window opoened right out to it. Close to everything you would wish to see in the old section of Cordoba. WIFI in the common areas. Many good restaurants nearby.Even thought there is parking underneath the hotel, I dontl think driving in this old section of town is a good idea. We returned our car at the bus station and took a cab.

El Conquistador was one of our favorite hotels out of seven we stayed in in Spain. Our room was large and well decorated. The hotel is located directly accross from the back wall of the Mosquita on the edge of the Jewish ghetto. Lots of shops and resturants within walking distance.

The staff were extremely unhelpful at reception while the waitress was even having a private telephone call on her mobile phone while taking our order in the restaurant. Switching on the air conditioning in the room produced a distinct smell of drains – as prevailed in the street outside the hotel. The location in central Córdoba was, however, ideal.

This hotel was the most expensive we stayed in in Spain but was right across the road from the mesquita and close by to all historic sights. The hotel itself was lovely and clean, room size was a little less roomy than some. There was a lovely patio to sit and have a drink in (we waited quite some time for service and ended up leaving without a drink). The cafe next door is handy for a quick breakfast. Hotel reception staff were polite and helpful. There looked to be many more hotels around the mesquita which may have cost a bit less and would have met our needs just as well

Of all the hotels I booked in spain (4 in all) this was the most disappointing. The room we stayed in was small and dingy and the bed was uncomfortable. Our view out of the window was a white wall and we managed about 2-3 hours of sleep the whole night we stayed there. The pictures of the rooms were misleading. The only good thing about this Hotel is the location but i suggest you book something further away and take a taxi to visit the Cordoba Cathedral/Mosque.

Nothing special in this hotel. The comment we add in our reservation was not respected. Hotel without charm. Not really 4*. Employees speaks only spanish, and very bad english. Employees at the reception were not very much interested by our needs. However the location of the hotel is great, but there are a lot of hotel with similar location (i.e. close to the mezquita)

Not a 4 star hotel. Decor and furnishings are very dated and the service was very poor with unknowledgable and unfriendly staff who made little effort to help us. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Despite the high price of the room they also charged for internet access and only had one computer for all the guests to share. The only good thing was the location next to the Mezquita which means you can get in at 8.30am free and have the place (almost) to yourself.

A very nice hotel in the heart of the old town but only minutes from the modern shopping area of the city. Our room overlooked the Cathedral walls. I was a little worried about the noise as the street outside was very busy , mostly through the day, but the double glazing worked very well. There was a lovely little interior courtyard for coffee or lunches and the hotel has also preserved some of the archaeological finding of the old city that are under them in glass walkways, although at present there is no information about what they are. The Cathedral is a must see, as is the Alcázar.

Welcoming staff and a perfect location right next to the mosque. The room was clean and of the usual 4 star hotel size. There was some noise during the night, probably from the air conditioning system. There were only towels for one person but this was remedied without problems although it took two requests. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would stay there again.

The main attraction is its proximity to the Mesquita though the restaurant adjoining the lobby has a charming patio with a fountain that's great for sitting in when the weather's fine. I also got transferred to a non-smoking room promptly upon request even if the room was a little small.

Reception were good and efficient at registration but over worked. On our second day we returned to the hotel at 5pm. and ordered beer and coffee to be taken in the patio garden and there was no one on duty in the bar so we had to go to reception to order. It duly arrived but then we couldn't find the waitress again to request the order be placed on our room account despite repeated enquires at reception, who said she was on her way. We waited over 10 minutes and she never did appear. The amount due was put on our account by the recepionist. The breakfast was adequate but the coffee machine was empty on the second morning at 9.15am. Again, the staff were very busy laying up for lunch rather than looking after the needs of the guests. The room was o.k. and the bathroom was clean but rather tired. Unfortunately there was a wedding at the hotel on the Saturday night and the guests had no concern for the residents when they left the hotel at 2a.m. Having said all that, we had a pleasant stay in Cordoba and will return next year to do the part we didn't manage to see this time.

Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas y sencillas/viejas para ser un 4 estrellas. A comfortable hotel right opposite the Mezquita. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the air conditioning worked well which was important as the outside temperature was nearly 50 degrees. Breakfast had a good variety of food but was not cheap. However, this was countered by the bargain low-season price we paid for the room. The hotel bar was a bit quiet but there are a lot of bars in the historic centre - those run by the Silversmith's society are very good value. The Mezquita and the Alcazar Gardens are a must to visit. However a lot of attractions are closed for all or part of the day in August and it can get very hot indeed, even in the shade.

The hotel is a beautiful place with a great location. But there are two issues I want to point. First, the price that was announced in the website does not correspond with the ammount I paid. In the website they offered rooms for 60 euros, but when I confirmed my request, it said the price was 185 euros. Second, the air conditionate in the rooms is terrible. I had to open the window at night, because it was very hot inside. I called the front desk, but they said there was no way to modify the room temperature, because it was the same temperature for all the rooms.

Location is the greatest asset for this hotel which is right across from the Mezquita. It is well-located for visits to all of the sites of interest in Cordoba. Good hotel, nice rooms and excellent location next to the cathedral and old town. But make sure you get a room looking to the street or the back of the building: rooms overlooking tiny inner yards can be very noisy with neighbours who shout and party in their room with their window opened till late at night. It sounded like we had the group of loud teenagers right in our room. We had to go down personaly to the reception at 11.30 PM after two unsuccessful calls untill the personal called them to close their window. In the shower, the hot water tap was not working properly and temperature kept on jumping from hot to freezing. This was not memded during our stay although we complained at the reception. A shame because otherwise this is a nice hotel as mentionned earlier. The breakfast buffet was varied and good.

This hotel was in a wonderful position, right opposite The Mesquita. We had a lovely view of The Mesquita, but perhaps a room overlooking the inner courtyard would have been quieter. The service was good, but the dining room tables were very untidy due to being busy. Staff were not too helpful on that morning. The breakfast was reasonable. We stayed in Cordoba for 2 days. The hotel was very well placed just opposite La Mezquita. The room was very spacious, definitely the most spacious out of the six 4 star-hotels we've been to in Spain. Our room had a lovely view of the hotel courtyard. Price-wise was abit more expensive than other hotels in Spain but still cheaper compared to hotels in Ireland.

This hotel was pleasant in all ways. Very centrally located, clean with a very pleasant staff. Always felt safe and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Plan to spend a little time in the garden area sipping a cool drink..very pleasant. Only thing I can think that would make this better is a "bit" more air conditioning. Good but I prefer cooler.

The view from the room was very nice. A bit noisy one night because of a mariage taking place in the hotel but nothing dramatic. The parking is very small and costs 12euros per night. A bit difficult to find with a car and all the one-way roads that do not match the map and the GPS. Overall a very good stay!

Hotel is in old city square across from the mosque-church. Our window opened out onto the wall of the mosque which is exquisite. The hotel even displays Roman ruins - although discreetly.

This hotel is value for money except the service is terrible. There was only one helpful staff there. I had to wait upto 45minutes at the reception desk before being seen to. It took 67minutes to be asked what I'd like to drink in the restaurant. So make sure you're not in a hurry if you decide to stay here!!

Rapporto qualità/prezzo davvero ottimo. Domandate una delle stanze con vista verso la strada, e direttamente dal vostro letto potrete ammirare le magnifiche mura della Mezquita! Mai dormito in una stanza così suggestiva!

It was a one-way to the hotel, and we had to go against the traffic to enter the hotel, and at first we didn't know we were allowed to do so. I'd have preferred if they'd told us this. In the end, we went to the information center and asked. The hotel's just big, nothing special.

Lucky I had to call the hotel the morning before our arrival 'cause they didn't have our reservation!! something went wrong in the web processing... and lucky they had rooms as it wasn't high season, I just had to forward them our email confirmation that showed everywhere "all confirmed". By the way, I opened a ticket in on the website where we made the reservation (not Venere) and never got any acknowledgement/ sorry note back ... Other than that the hotel and service was pretty much excellent for a great price :-)

A wonderful surprise. Excellent location, although directions as to how to reach the actual hotel were rather vague. Breakfast was amazing and whole ambience of hotel first rate.

My son (26) and I made our first trip to Spain and spent a couple days in Cordoba. The hotel was great... located in the middle of the historic district... a short walk to other areas. We walked from the train station. The room & lobby was clean and the service was excellent. If I go back... this will be the first place I check for reservations.
