This was the first time we stayed at Opera Hotel - but not the last, I hope. It was like stepping back to the good old times in the sixties, old fashioned hotel, but elegant, simple and friendly. We stayed for three days and enjoyed the Danish "julefrokost and schnaps" to the utmost. Bryndís and Jón Baldvin (Iceland)

This hotel says that is 3 starts... but is actually 2 starts or less. quality of rooms , furniture, soundproof and confort is actually very low... but the worse is the price compare with what they are giving to you... crapy hotel, needs to be rebuilted...completely.

We booked a "Small Double Bed Room" the bedroom area was so small that one side of the double bed was pushed up against the wall , so it was only accessable by one person , from one side . The lobby with the TV was under lit and had two small steps with were a trip hazard. The ligth switch was only accessable from behind the entrance door. Better to have called the Room a large single room ! Unfortunaly these flaws detract from what was otherwise a most enjoyable stay . The location right beside the Buzz of Nyhavn is excellent and the staff were very frendly and most accommodating.

This hotel needs renovation, urgently. Our reservation was for 4 nights, but on arrival Opera had us down for only 1 night. This resulted in them giving us a suite, which was ok. But, the hotel appears old and worn. I will not stay here again, and will not recommend it.

Our room was TINY, nowhere near as spacious as the room pictured on the website. But, clean and quiet. Good location; easy to get to from Metro with wheeled suitcases. Breakfast buffet was expensive at 95DKK per person.

Hte hotel charged us 1000 DK more per room, than what was stated in our booking. We tried refuse paying but th receptionist forced us to pay, saying that we had to get the refund from venere. Luckily the hotel called us later that day saying that they had refunded us the amount overshooting our booking price..

The reception staff at night was not very welcoming. The room I was supposed to go to was on the ground floor, faced a wall in the yard and smelled of cold tobacco smoke. I asked for another, non-smoking, room. Tiny room with single bed, not very confortable. Old-fashioned furniture. Bathroom: bad shower curtain (too short), impossible not to flood the whole bathroom. Breakfast: nothing exceptional and overpriced (75 DKR). I stayed 4 nights. The location is excellent, but the stay was definitely overpriced.

Location fine, 200 m from Kongens nytorv. The hotel was old and not refurbished. The interior of our room would probably be modern in early 1950's but not by todays standard. Small room, bathroom even smaller, water from the shower flooded the bathroom floor, separate hot and cold taps in the sink. Nice lounge with dark wood panels. Breakfast sparse and the orange juice diluted with so much water that only the colour remained. Too expensive for this rather limited service and accomodation.

The hotel desk staff was not helpful. The room was really noisey. The walls are very thin. We were suppose to have two twins and we got a king without explaination.

This hotel offers a good deal for the price mentioned on this site. Some of the surfaces in the rooms might be a bit run down, but in general the stay was pleasant. I was however, asked to pay 200DKR more than the price on this site. I do not know if the reason for this was that I got a larger room that I had ordered or whether the price here was a mistake. When I showed them a printout from my reservation here though, they changed the price to the agreed one at once without any trouble.

Good location, just off Kongens Nytorv, handy for the Nyhavn and Stroget tourist areas. Our room had the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced in any hotel, regardless of rating/cost. The hotel does not have a bar as such, but the staff will get you a drink if you ask them. The breakfast was excellent, and was also included in the price, which, in my experience, is unusual for hotels on Venere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Copenhagen.
