Hotel Copenhagen Admiral - Copenhagen
Toldbodgade 24-28 - Copenhagen
877-662-6988The property is housed in a fully-restored listed building, an ancien barn dating back to the 1780's. Now it ranks as a four-star hotel of uncompromising Danish and Scandinavian quality. The most striking feature of the hotel is the ceiling with its huge beams and roof supports. This property is the perfect venue for conferences, parties, private dining, receptions and weddings.
Among the facilities, the hotel offers Internet access, a cosy and elegant bar, a restaurant and private parking area.
The Copenhagen Admiral is entirely non-smoking.

Excellent value for such an interesting hotel. We had 2 x 3 night stays here, one in a superior room and the other in a standard 'street side' room. Both were very comfortable and suited our needs. The 'canalside' lounge-bar is just an ideal spot to relax with a drink/s after a day's touring. Proximity to Copenhagen's 'action' is ideal.

We take a snack at the terrace bar, and the service was poor and slow, that was a shame because the food was good.

We have stayed at this hotel for several occations, and we are very satisfied. The only complaines is about the temperatur, - it was very hot in July without any aircondition. (We must also add that we stayed in Copenhagen at some very hot days.)

I went to Admiral Hotel for a romantic and relaxing weekend with my fiancé and I must say that the Hotel was absolutly more than we had hoped for. The rooms are big and very cozy, typicall scandinavian design. There was no need to pay extra for a bigger room, the standard ones have enough space for two persons. And the bed was truly a dream. We definetly reccomend to stay at Admiral Hotel. It's central and close to an area filled with lovely restaurants (especially to be enjoyed during summer)and the sea.

For being a high-end hotel, the services provided were not what one could expect; eg. - we only got towels for one person, - used glasses were not exchanged between day one and day two, - one of the beds was 'noisy' (which we pointed out), - skirt hanger were not available, even after asking for it at the reception desk, - we were charged a significantly higher price than the quoted one (corrected only after showing quotation printout), - not in one case did the staff apologize for their mistakes, - in the morning men and machines were working directly outside our room (in the street), and these were not exactly what you would call silent activities. On the upside, this is a beautiful and unique hotel, with a central location near the water and close to the new theatre and the opera on the other side of the water. The rooms are very rustique and comfortable in general, and also quite spacious. In total an old, unique, hotel with potential, even if the service level was questionable.

Albergo in ottima posizione centrale. Struttura molto bella e in zona tranquilla. Camere non molto spaziose (dovuta alla tipologia dell'albergo stesso). Parcheggio un po' caro (ma a Copenaghene è normale). Colazione non iclusa ma buffet buono.

We had a 3 day post-cruise stay at The Admiral in July, 2009. It is a lovely hotel with a fabulous location close to Nyhaven and the waterway, wonderful for walking everywhere. Without air conditioning, the window had to be left open for air circulation, allowing very loud street noise from below to enter and disrupt sleep. A water-view room, at a higher room rate, is recommended. For the price we paid, we would have expected breakfast to be included and they don't really make it clear that it's not. Otherwise a very authentic Danish experience.

Very nice hotel, near to the center. It's an expensive hotel and for the price, they could have air-conditioning and offer internet. There is no swimming pool too.

Situated on the harbor with boats tied up outside on one side, and a view of the city out our window on the other side, world wide guests, whether involved in business or on holiday will be made comfortable at the Admiral, which had been highly recommended to me. The hotel's history, represented in the room's structure, adds to the contemporary Danish design of its furnishings.

Unfortunately there is a boat moored oposite where our room 208 was. Their engines are running all the time which makes a loud humming sound. we had to keep our window shut to lessen the noise, which made our room too hot. Also being English, we missed havintg tea and coffee facilities in our room. otherwise excellent.

My wife and take vacations during the off season to avoid the masses of tourists. Copenhagen is a great city to visit and the people could not have been nicer. We stayed in one of the mini suite lofts because the exchange rate had changed dramatically from the time we booked until the time we departed. My only complaint was the the spiral staircase was very steep and a bit dangerous unless you hold on. But the room and the hotel were great. The location in the city could not have been more convenient.

Nice hotel in an excellent location. Rooms/facilities are excellent. We were somewhat disappointed to be initially placed in a smoking room. At our request we were moved to another room, which had an extra folding bed occupying the living space. When we asked that the cot be removed, we were treated as if we were asking for some special favor.

Paul and I had a wonderful stay in the hotel. We requested a harbour room which we were given and we couldn't have been happier. The tiniest piece of criticism is that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (although I realise they do room service). Thanks for some wonderful memories!

Wonderful location, overlooking canal, Nyhaven with its wonderful cafes is only a few blocks away. Hotel is clean and comfortable, has a lovely outdoor cafe. Important to request a room overlooking the canal.

Hotel facilities were up to standards, but the quality of the service did not correspond to the luxurious prices: reception was somewhat amateurish (a Danish trend anyhow) and not very multilingual. I guess that's what you get when hotel facilities are run my teenagers! Having said that, if you are interested in architecture, the building is simply impressive and the restoration work is worth a visit.

We are a Danish couple and know the hotel from earlier visits. The hotel has a high standard. Before our visits we called the hotel. It was fully booked and we could't get a room. By using Venere.com there was no problems. The ordenary price for a standard room is 1600 DKK. We were opgraded and paid 970 DKK.

Wonderful hotel, in an ancient nicely restored building, which keep the charm of old times but with the comfort of modern ones. And if you are there with your lover, and everything runs smoothly and warmly for three days and two nights, and true deep love keeps you in an enchanted atmosphere... if that's not the heaven, what else?

It was a family holiday and I've done 2 bookings (the other booking # 4586149) for the same hotel and date. At the reception I'm said there is only 1 room for me. First I'm said hotel is fully booked, no way to get the second room than I'm offered two rooms in another hotel. I was not happy. At least 1,5 hours later, 2 rooms are found with harbour view at Admiral. The rooms were excelent. The receptionst was very kind and tried to solve it but took so long. It was not a good start for holiday. In addition, I'm given 2 double free card drinks to use at the bar but barmen said it's only for soda and water!
