Ascot Hotel & Spa - Copenhagen

I stayed in Copenhagen for two nights at the Ascot Hotel and Spa. Was disappointed to find that staying at the Hotel offered little or no discount in the Spa and that the spa has no sauna. Other than that the hotel is clean, but not really 4 star, more like 3.5.

The hotel staff was ruff, unfriendly, incompetent. The atmosphere was unpleasant; the pictures of hotel rooms in the internet were absolutely different as in reality; the rooms were very bad furnished, there were smell of fish in the rooms. We paid for the first night but we couldn’t stay at all in the hotel, it was impossible.

Very nice, well appointed room. We were surprised to have a small kitchenette and such a large bedroom too. A great location. Staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was very nice too. Our room was not very sound proof and we were staying on a Friday evening, so there were some guests who returned quite loudly after midnight and again at 3:00am. All in all the hotel was excellent and despite the unfortunate noise of some rude guests, we would stay there again.

With four people we got a suite with two bedrooms and a kitchenette at a great price, and could buy our breakfast and bring it in rather than use the hotel's expensive breakfast.

The hotel was very well situated in Copenhaguen and very nice. The only thing is that when we arrive the employe told us that the breakfast and internet were extras, I had to show her the e mail when it was written (but in french) thet all was included. That was a little bit hard to begin the stay!!!

They girl at the reception wass very happy to inform us that they had upgraded our room at no extra cost to an apartment. The bed in the apartment was to single beds approx 80 cm wide. I'm not sure anybody could sleep in anything that size. When asked to get a decent size bed they gave us a standard room which wasn't a double but to singlebeds pushed together. The rest of the room was ok. The included breakfast was probably the worst I've tried in a long time - and I live in Africa. The cost of the room was in my oppinion way to high - 500 DKK per night would be fair. The location of the hotel was however quite good.

It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed! I found my socks washed in bathroom )))

My husband and I decided to go to Copenhagen two days before a ten day Baltic cruise so we had two large pieces of luggage. When we go to the hotel in Copenhagen very early in the morning from the USA, we were told that there was a luggage room for our suitcases until our room was ready later in the afternoon. We were told it was down a flight of stairs. No one assisted us in getting the luggage into the room. When we got back in the afternoon, we asked the staff for help to get the luggage to our room, which was up a flight of stairs and then an elevator ride to the 4th floor. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. I felt the staff was adequate but not necessarily helpful. We stayed there one night after the cruise. We had an early morning flight so could not take advantage of the breakfast that day, which was the highlight of the hotel.

We were in Copenhagen for a long weekend, and got upgraded to an apartment, which almost certainly gave us more space than a hotel room. The lounge/diner was large and clean, good light and very Scandinavian in feel. The bedroom was a small, and with the double bed pushed against the wall seemed a bit like a dormitory room, but the bed was comfortable and clean, with maid service every morning. The bathroom, while not state of the art, was very clean, with a very good shower over the bath. Overall, no problems. We would stay there again, and recommend to friends. Given what is on offer elsewhere in Copenhagen, I think it's very good value.

Copenhagen is an expensive place to stay- hotel was fine but it was not the old classic hotel pictures as it had a "modern" wing (now in need of some refurbishment). Good breakfast as always in Denmark. Holiday.

Very good hotel with friendly staff. Room spaciuos. Little kitchen provided altough not dishes or cutlery provided.

The staff was most accomodating. After checking in I requested several things, such as a rack to hang clothes to dry,extra pillows, etc and when we returned after our dinner everything had been taken care of. Our only complaint was that the room was rather dark, with small light bulbs, and they were unable to remedy that.

Very nice hotel in walking distance of the city center; friendly staff, quiet rooms and very nice breakfast! We would definitely come again!

Hotel and room: nothing to complain. Room was a sort of small apartment. Breakfast, included in the price, was also good. However, room was made badly, we had to remake the bed ourselves. New towels must be picked up by guests. Perhaps this is standard in Copenhagen, we have no previous experience. Anyway, we would be glad to return here.

Located in a very convenient place, and quiet. The single room I stayed had a kitchen fully equipped for two persons. They said that not every room has a kitchen. I was lucky. The desk, which is only a black wooden plate stuck out from the wall, worked nicely with a leather-covered steel pipe chair, a table lamp, and free wireless LAN. The TV was a 20-inch Sony liquid crystal. The bed was small.

Nice hotel, very good location, good breakfast, good value for the money.
