Nice quiet central location, positioned at the end of a short cul-de-sac. Also, close to the Duomo di Como and the Ferry terminal and <10mins walk from the Como Lago train stn (some signs are visible to help you + tourist maps on many st corners). Staff were v. nice and the rm was very clean but very basic with a rather hard bed. Free Wi-Fi internet was available in the lobby lounge area only. Certainly priced for the posn and not the quality, but reasonable for Como.

This hotel is well located in the middle of the old town section not far from either the Duomo or the lakefront. Numerous restaurants nearby. For an inner city hotel, it has considerable parking (but probably at a price). The hotel is roughly eight blocks from Como's main RR station, Como San Giovanni.

I stayed for the first time at the Tre Re in Como in August and would definitely return. Its location is very central and within an easy walking distance from the Como Lago LeNord train station and the city's bus station. The staff at reception were most helpful with information and tips, which they always gave with a smile.

Hotel was quite easy to find and within 10 minutes walk of main bay in Como. Sufficient car parking available. English spoken so no problems in communication. Breakfast quite good with selection of continetal available on buffet and optional cooked items. Restaurant was nice and hotel close to other restaurants and tourist sites.

What makes Tre Re a good hotel to stay in is the good humour, the kindness and the care of the staff. When my husband was ill during our stay, they could not have been kinder or more concerned. The hotel itself looks a little tired and the location is right next to some other noisy sites ( a building being refurbished and a noisy pizza restaurant) but it is very convenient for access to the lake and the centre of Como.If you are expecting views, ultra-modern and slick facilities, you would be disappointed but if you are looking for traditional features and Italian charm, you will feel at home.

We were using Como as a base for a week-long visit, using local transport and the hotel was excellently situated for this purpose. We asked for a quiet room and got one - it was clean and reasonably spacious but at this price we were surprised that it lacked a minibar/refridgerator or a safety deposit box. Knowing the hotel to have had a previous existence as a convent we were not expecting it to be modern and gleaming, but it was just a bit dingy. Breakfasts were adequate but unimaginative. We used the retaurant once - it was OK but not an uplifting experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tre Re. I liked that it was once a monastery, and kept the simple charm in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was informative, friendly, and knowlegable and took time to point out the sites one wouldn't want to miss in Como. The location was excellent, close to the lake and quick walk to train station.

I had a tiny room where the bed took up most of the space, and I could not go round it without bumping into the few basic sticks of furniture. The bathroom was the same, lots of squeezing and sidling. The decoration was one flyblown photo of Lake Como and the window opened on a building site. There is a grand stone staircase and the public rooms are decent, though the breakfast room has no windows. Location is perfect, onre block away from the cathedral and the pier, and the lady at the desk wasvery informative. But at 92 euros single, not good value for money

Hotel Tre Re is very good situated in the center of Como. For this room prices it is a really great place to stay. The owners and employes are very friendly. You even get free parking! We had a triple room. Unfortunately the third bed was really bad, so that a good night sleep was impossible. The king size bed was ok. Also, the triple room is very small.

The Hotel Tre Re was as advertised. Relatively easy walking distance from either train station (5 - 10 blocks), and two blocks from the lake. It is very much in the center of the lake tourist disctrict in Como. The staff was very helpful, and the rooms were clean, albeit austere. The public areas were modest, but comfortable, with a breakfast area, and separate spaces for a bar and their restaurant. Showers were a bit cramped. Overall, it was generally what we expected in this price range in the peak of the summer travel season.

The location was quite good as we took only about 20 to 25 minutes to go there on foot from the train station. Some directional signs could be found along the way for the ease of access to the hotel. The room was luxury and spacious. The small moonroof enabled you to enjoy the starlight and have the weather forecast. The breakfast was excellent in the light of choices of foods. The staff were very very helpful. Especially during the strike of railway staff, they were keen to help us in searching tourist information and providing useful advices. We were really impressed.

Hotel Tre Re is in a very convenient location, walking distance to the lake, shops, restaurants etc. Easy to find once you're in the centre of Como - just follow the signs to "Parking - Hotel Tre Re". We arrived late on a rainy cold night and thankfully there was still a parking spot available for us, right out the front of the hotel. Parking is not guaranteed though. Not sure where you would park if there weren't any spots at the hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast included. We were 3 friends sharing a room; room was basic but spacious and clean, decent bathroom. Only downfalls are no internet connection and the beds are very old, but we were so tired after our long flight that it didn't bother us. Would stay at Hotel Tre Re again and would recommend to others. Good value for the price.

We really enjoyed ourselves here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which was a nice bit of normalcy from the joke we stayed at previously while in Milan (Hotel Serena - avoid it!). Tre Re was a little bit hard to find, but just follow the directional signs from the train station and you're there. They let us arrive a day early and found a room for us to stay in. The breakfast was also excellent, with service provided. It's amazing how a basic smile can win over clientele. We'll definitely return and wish we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I spent 5 nights in a twin-bedded room. The room was exceptionally clean and of average size by european standards. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The owner made a special point to come out, shake our hands, and bid us farewell as we waited for our taxi. We especially enjoyed the great room off the lobby that contained several sofas, a TV, tables for playing cards/games and a bar. The only negative in our experience was the restaurant. The food was good but service was slow and most of the restaurant staff did not speak english. However, there were many excellent restaurants within 2-3 blocks. I'm looking forward to a return trip to the Tre Re.

This property is a truly "grande Palazzo". We had a triple room which was huge with a very adequate bathroom. The breakfast was standard and plentiful. The location in the centre of the town was so easy to everything. The family who own this have kept a very individual feel and it is easy to imagine it was previously a convent. The ceiling in the dining room is impressive. The ONLY downside if your room is at the front is the early morning noise from the delivery vans and street cleaners etc. We would definitely stay there again but with ear plugs.

Welcoming, accommodating staff. The hotel has much more character than the website impression implies. Perfect location for staying in Como - probably quieter than the larger hotels that are right on top of the main piazza; yet an easy walk to the shops and ferry docks. Breakfast was nice - options for more than a continental breakfast offered for a small charge. Nice size room with A/C. Would stay there again.

The posted directions in Como to the Tre Re were incredibly helpful, given the one way streets, pedestrian zones and congestion. The PARKING was fantastic and free. The young Filipino auto attendant was so gracioius and helpful. The young, English-speaking, woman at the desk was so personable and efficient and went the 'extra mile'. And the Grandmotherly 'nonna' was so sweet and also extended herself so kindly. The air conditioning was a treat, the breakfast wonderful and the ambience far more elegant than we expected at that price. A memorable and wonderful two night experience!!

When we first arrived at the property, our room was not available. Even though they had the reservation, we were told that our room was not ready. The excuse given was that it was "their busy season." The staff did not seem apologetic at all for their mistake. We sat in a hallway for 45 minutes until our room was finally ready. Our Triple Room was spacious and clean, but we were very disatisfied with the bathroom. The drain in the shower seemed to be clogged because the water took a long time to drain even after one was done showering. Instead of a bathroom towel, they used very large, thin, napkin-like sheets. The front desk staff did not always know how to speak English.
