The bikes are very super - probably some bikes which are a little bit lighter? or somebody who is ready to fit the saddle on the right heighth. The ladies are very friendly at the desk top and the breakfast personal too. very nice house, rooms too small for the price. water tap should run better. two days sight seeing and only to be. the excursion to brunate was beautiful - and to get there to the Funiculare by bicycle was very cosy! I was there with my daughter (14)

This is in a great location in Como. It is an older hotel that has been decorated in a style that suits its age which is not modern. The breakfasts are fine but overall as most of the Como hotels it is expensive for what you get. I guess you are paying for the location which is great for the lake or exploring the old town.

Albergo di buon livello, con camere silenziose, personale all'altezza ed un rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente buono. In pieno centro di Como in posizione favorevole. Consigliabile sia per turismo sia per lavoro.

We arrived and were given our room. When we went up there it was small and pokey and looked out onto the bins so i asked if we could have a lake view room. This was an extra charge so they showed me the room before upgrading us. The room was so much better with a four poster bed and a kitchenette and so was worth the extra €50 a night. We moved to that room and had a brilliant stay.

Special weekend offer showed up as a very small not very clean room with view to the courtyard and the waste containers, emptying at 5.30 a.m. at Saturday morning included. Personnel seemed uninvolved. The breakfast room has no daylight. Overall it was a disappointing stay at an assumed 4 star hotel.

We only stayed overnight in this hotel. A lovely hotel but starting to get a little tired. The rooms were also very small. Our room overlooked the rubbish bins and was very noisy in the morning when the bottles were collected. Location was great. Short walk to cathedral and lake and right next to the boat landing for catching boats to Bellagio.

The Hotel Terminus is one of the finest hotels we've ever booked. The staff is utterly delightful, the breakfast buffet is compact, but perfectly planned, and our room was superb. The location absolutly cannot be improved upon.

Would not recommend the Hotel Reataurant! Overpriced, average menu options and very poor waiter service. Many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel location is perfect - very close to the ferry and the CBD of Como.

This is a wonderful hotel, smack in the middle of Como. Could not fault it. Lovely restaurant too with sunset views! we stayed 2 nights and even managed a 20 minute drive to lake lugano in Switzerland. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful hotel, restored, with a large room and nice shower. BUT poor breakfast for a hotel this type and price, AND you had to pay to use sauna and fitness which was not mentioned in the web page or elsewhere. Moreover there was no french channel available on TV, even when we asked a technician to find it- which can be understood when you are in china is hard to believe in italy! if you want a luxury hotel, the hotel next-door (the palace hotel) in the same category would be a better choice.

The location is great, in the center of Como, by the river. The service was not very good and the hotel concierge was not helpful in giving information about the city, some restaurants addresses or even direction. The breakfast is very poor compared to the price of the room and to the 4 stars standards in Italy.

The staff at the hotel were simply lovely. Very helpful, polite and friendly. The room itself was interesting although rather small. However, the noise emanating from outside the window of our room was too much. Maybe if we stayed in a different room the noise would've been less. There was no air conditioning in the room and therefore it was a difficult choice between the "HEAT" with the windows and shutters closed to reduce the level of the noise and bake or open the windows and be kept awake or woken up very early despite being on holiday. I would stay at the Terminus again, definitely. However, I would insist on a quieter room.

Wow what a location, opposite the lake, a five minute walk to restaurants, shops and bars. This is what you are paying for, you are in Como and everything seems a little expensive. Upon arrival the staff were very accomadating and though we spoke Italian, English was not a problem. A bit disappointed with the room for the price but again it is all about LOCATION!!! Would I stay here again, probably but see if you can avoid getting a room the backs onto the alley at the back, noise though not a massive problem did make for early than planned wake ups.

Ideal location across the street from Lake Como and a 5 min walk from Como Lago train station. Ferries to Bellagio and other Lake Como towns leave from across the street. Rooms are modern, continental breakfast is fine with excellent staff. Hotel is near several shops and restaurants and the funicolare to Brunate. Definitely recommended.

Very friendly and welcoming and good English spoken by all staff encountered. Next to the lake and a 1 minute walk from Como Lago Nord station which is just one hour from Milan and only 5 euros each way. I had a back room which was closer to the church bells and the refuse trucks, but if you are bothered by this take ear plugs. Continental breakfast was really good and when I had to catch a train they even wrapped me some croissants to eat on the journey. Breakfast didn't start until 07.00 whereas 06.30 would have been better for me, but this is a tourist town and I was on business!! Nothing was too much trouble and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate using it again if the opportunity arises.

My girlfriend and I thought it was excellent. We were particularly impressed with Chiara's (the receptionist) helpfullness. She was very warm and helped us with everything we needed, even recommending a lovely restaurant. Breakfast was very good in the quaint breakfast room. The surroundings were beautiful, our room was very modern and clean with an excellent shower! But we were sad there was no bath. We had a wonderful view from our 4th floor window over-looking the lake. Overall excellent central location, everything within walking distance. Hotel easy to find from the train station. We will definitely go again. See you all there! P&C

The price quoted by Venere was not the exact price we paid, the latter being slightly highter, but there wasn't a huge difference. The view from our room was over an alleyway filled with rubbish bins, but this was probably our only criticism of an otherwise lovely hotel. Its location is its greatest advantage, and the breakfast is very nice.

This nicely decorated hotel was in a great location facing the lake and was close to shopping, restaurants, and sights. We booked a double room (#211) at 164 Euro per night. When we arrived at the hotel around 11am to check in, we were pleased that our room was ready for us. It was clean and a decent size. And, the air conditioning worked well during the mid-80 temperatures we had. The staff were helpful in giving directions to area attractions and were generally friendly. A continental breakfast was served on a lovely patio – cereal, pastries, and fruit. Parking space available for 18 Euro per night and wi-fi internet access available in the lobby (5 Euro for 5 hours.) Hotel was good value for the money. We'd stay here again.

Lovely building and a great location, but service wasn't that good. The safe in my room didn't work, and despite my reporting this twice, the problem was not fixed. The room was very small and the carpet wasn't clean. This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in during my holiday, but the services and facilities were definitely better elsewhere.

Thanks to the feedback posted by others regarding Hotel Terminus we were pre-warned about certain rooms in the hotel with unacceptable noise levels from the side alley. Reluctant at first, reception eventually moved us to a more quieter room as they had booked us into a smoking room, which clearly was not specified on our booking. Overall, our stay and service was of a decent standard and the location was great for attractions and restaurants in central Como.

The location was excellent. The hotel was nice. The employees were cold; not typically warm Italians. Our room was overlooking the alley where the trash cans were. We asked to be moved. They said no rooms. We asked if the trash was removed in the morning. They said no. It was around 6 a.m. The next day we asked if it was a daily pickup, they said no. They came again the next morning very early. We asked to be moved. After begging, they moved us to a quieter room...our last night. They seemed to be annoyed that we asked for any assistance. They even tried to charge us for breakfast one morning (which we did eat) on our last day. Problem was we had the breakfast included in the price of the room and had not eaten breakfast the first two days.

This is unquestionably an excellent hotel in a beautiful location. However, it was a disappointment to discover that on our first night the restaurant was closed. How can a hotel restaurant simply close? On our second night we tried to book dinner at 5.30PM but were told that the restaurant would not open until 6.30PM When we tried to book later we were then told that the restaurant was fully booked! As there were few people staying it obviously was not busy with hotel guests. After complaining we were eventually given a meal in another lounge. In fairness the food and the service was thereafter excellent. To sum up - a competent hotel simply has to understand that if the hotel is open then the restaurant should be open also and that hotel guests are entitled to have some kind of priority for restaurant reservations.

What an elegant, comfortable hotel! The bathrooms in Italian hotels are often the distinguishing feature between bad/good/better. The single room I had was richly appointed, with a huge bathroom and functional shower, and the property itself is lovely. I'd go back... when I can afford it!

The hotel is in an excellent location, has wonderful architecture, a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake and helful staff --- and that is the best thing it has going for it. Upon arrival, we were given a 3rd floor room overlooking a back alley that smelled of garbage and contained dumpsters. We refused the room and were given a room on the first floor which was very quiet however the carpet and window sill had not been cleaned for some time. Unfortunately, this hotel does not come close to a 4 star hotel in terms of cleanliness and room amenities...more like a 2 star hotel. The restaurant terrace was very nice but the menu was limited and very routine.

After one month of travelling Europe, we ended our wonderful vacation in Como at the Terminus. If I had known how amazing the hotel and the city were, I would have spent the whole month at the Terminus. The hotel is located in an ideal spot...right in front of the lake, close to everything, and just gorgeous. The bar/ restaurant is lovely and the perfect spot to watch a sunset and have a drink. The breakfast buffet each morning was fabulous. The hotel even has bicycles that you can borrow for a little ride around the lake. This was, by far, the best service we had in Europe. I will definitely return to this hotel.

From the first contact at the check-in desk, our experience was terrible. The employees kept us waiting while they talked among themselves. We were then shown to a room which overlooked the trash dumpsters. We had requested a room facing Lake Como. We refused the room shown, and were given a slightly better, but much smaller room. Each morning at breakfast we found the employees to be rude and noisy. We would NEVER stay there again. The other hotels we visited while in Italy were absolutely wonderful.
