Hotel Plinius - Como

Even room was non smokers it was horrible stinking on smoke. Very bad pillows and covers. Staff was nice, only good point.

Very small hotel rooms that continually smelt of cigarette smoke. Noisy at night. Terrible internet connection in rooms. Good location, public areas of hotel and breakfast were nice. Not great value for money though.

Seroius problems connecting to wi-fi insufficient system

Breakfast not bad, but could be better. Internet free but sucks.

Very good hotel, very close to railway station and the city centre. Very clean and quiet, friendly staff, lift to carry luggage and disabled-friendly. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

A simple, but very good hotel. The rooms are perfectly clean, and bathrooms are spotless. The breakfast is ok. The staff is helpful and the location is ideal - about 3-5 min walk to the town center/boat station and about 7-10 to Como S. Giovanni, which will be your station if you're coming from Milano Centrale

The hotel Plinius was very good as fas as location, breakfast, cleanliness and courtesy of reception. Unfortunately, we had a room (404) under the roof where the engine of air conditioning was located: the noise and the vibrations were unbearable so that we had to change room. Therefore, we suggest you to avoid (at least in summer) rooms on the last floor!

Good hotel for that price, quality of the breakfast not great. Location near the city center and lake Como very good.

Location is absolutely great for the price! Close to the port and within 5 minute walk to all! Breakfast buffet was decent with typical European rolls, salamis, cheeses, etc. Room we were in was fairly small with not much space to put any luggage. We peered into a few other rooms and they seemed much larger than ours. Friendly staff that speak English. Free WiFi if you book through Venere otherwise they charge a whole lot for access!

Our room had a beautiful view of the town of Brunate. We had a great experience at the hotel and walking around Como. This was our first time their and we would return to this hotel. The staff was very helpful.

I would be very happy to visit this hotel again. It is very conveniently located between the station and centre of Como.

Hotel was spotlessley clean, although I felt the twin room was a little bit small. Breakfast was fine. Didn't seem to be too much going on in the evening and the bar area was deserted but the receptionist took care of our drinks orders. Ideal location for everything. Friendly helpfull staff Would definately use again

Estuve en Como con una amiga. Era la primera vez que visitamos el lugar. La ubicación del Hotel es excelente porque permite desplazarse con toda facilidad y hay muchos restaurantes en la zona. Es un lugar muy tranquilo y seguro al que me gustaría volver.

I stayed at Hotel Plinius for 6 nights so comfort was a high priority. I had a single room which was lovely! The room was compact but around the size of a modern home's bedroom. My room was near to the corner of the building with double french louvre doors opening onto a step on balcony from which I had views dow a street to the water and down another to Piazza Volta. It was an easy walk to the water and ferry stops, a pharmacy across the street, gelati only 30m away and restaurants and bars within 100m. The internet point was not operational during my stay but there were 2 cafes / bars with internet points no more that 100m from the hotel. Staff were young and pleasant and the room was cleaned and maintained very well. My room appeared to have been refurbished within the last couple of years or so and appeared precisely like the pictures on this site. Breakfast, which was included, was basic but apropriate and in keeping with the breakfast culture of the region. Pastries, cold meats, cheese, breads, cereal, coffee, juice and fruit. For under $100 euro a night I was very pleased indeed with the Hotel and my week in beautiful Como.

Perfect location. Good services. for parking, it's ok if you just park for the night else it's expensive because this Hotel is located in the neter of Como. Vincent & jeannne

Great hotel to start our vacation, spacious, comfortable and with great food. Handy for all the restaurants, with some cracking local ones just round the corner.

The staff was very friendly and the Plinius is located in an area that makes it very easy to get to the lake. Short walking distance. You can walk there from the train station. The breakfast here was very good. It did not take long to find out how to get around and back to the hotel without getting lost. They did not have their computer for guest use working, but if you need one and don't have your own, there are internet stores in the area. I usually look for a hotel that is near the train station, and central to what most tourists are going to be interested in. This hotel does that.

DAs Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Menschen im Hotel sind sehr anständig und nett, das Frühstück gut, ein guter und schmackhafter Kaffee wird ausgeschenkt, das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man ist schnell in der Altstadt, am Bahnhof und umliegend hat es gute Restaurants mit guten Angeboten und Service. Das Hotel selber ist ruhig aber die Strasse erlaubt es kaum mit offenem Fesnter zu schlafen. Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet und sehr sauber und es hat alles funktioniert selbst die Dusche etc. Kann problemlos empfohlen werden, Preis Leistung stimmt, Preis aber eher im oberen Bereich.

Close to lakeside and within walking distance from train station. Cafes and shops close by. Air conditioned and safe provided in room.
