We expected breakfast and internet access as per description but found out that they were not included in the price. Breakfast is E10 per person which you can get down the street for E6 for two people and internet at COMO BAR for much less plus a free drink. Sattelite TV has limited chanels. View is spectacular from room with balcony but noise from bars and restaurants goes on until midnight. Take the boat ride around the lake. Take the bus if you have a strong stomach for twists and turns. I would have stayed in Bellagio rather than Como if I had known the area better.

A well positioned hotwel overlooking the lake from the rooms and terrace. Noisy in the early morning when the cleaning trucks come through to collect the garbage.

Good location, many restaurants nearby. Fabulous view of lake from window in room and lovely breakfast patio overlooking lake when weather is fine. Unfortunately a lot of stairs to room and no lift, but staff will carry bags for you. Would recommend to others, very good value for money.

This little hotel was cosy and very well kept. Even though our room was tiny it was impeccable clean and had a balcony with a beautiful lake view as promised. The breakfast was a bit plain but you could enjoy it on the sunny panorama terrace. The staff were helpful and most friendly. We had a pleasant stay at Marco's and recommend it. The restaurant Funicolare next door is also well worth visiting.

All was very well. The hotel is located very well and quietly. The rooms are quite small, but very clean and the prices are very fair. The employees were very fair. We would go again...

Located in the city enter about 20 meter from the water. Unobstructed view of lake Como, restaurants and center within walking distance, free parking. The hotel is great, family owned place, the only minor downfall is no elevator when you have to carry your luggage up. The inclination gondola to the of of the hill is just behind this hotel.

Lovely small family run hotel, staff very helpful. Rooms are small but functional, and our room had a lovely lake view. There is also a terrace overlooking the lake, perfect for breakfast - or a glass of wine in the eveining. I hope to return! Valerie Lee

The hotel is located right on Lake Como--well there is a street between the hotel and the water. An easy walk from the train from Milan North Station and a 10E cab ride from the train from the Milan Central Station. The room was modest but very clean and well furnished. We had a room on the lake side of the hotel. My wife and I really like this Hotel. The location is outstanding.

The hotel staff went above and beyond expectations. Both at the front desk and the breakfast room we were impressed again and again with the cheerful service and professionalism shown. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location right on the lake was fantastic.

A very business-minded hotel. Do not provide warmth in winter, maybe the same in summer when you feel blessed for less warmth. They charge for asking information ,printing for tourist interests and Euro10 for breakfast despite daily room is Euro75 for single room in winter. These are all complimentary service in most other hotels and B&B in big or small cities. The location is convenient. Good view (by Lake Como)is its benefit, though not perfect when single rooms are located in 2nd floor. They have plenty of rooms available in the 3rd floor, but they are expecting guests to fully occupy them in an overnight in winter.

My wife and I were traveling with my adult daughter and my wife's sister. We arrived in the late afternoon. There is very little parking near the hotel except a municipal lot. when we arrived there were no spaces. One of the hotel staff stayed in the parking lot with me until a space opened and then he stood in it to block other cars until I could come round and park. That gets a 10 on service. This is small place but very welcoming. We found the food in the area to be good. This was our first trip to Como but our 11th to Italy. We really like this place.

Wonderful place, small rooms, a little basic but ok for the price and very plaesant, we even had a room with balcony and sea view, could park our car in front and had a good time. Very friendly reception. Short walk to everything in Como

We stayed only one night at Marco's on our way from France to Lucerne and would have loved to have stayed longer (we will be going back in 2 years!). The staff at Marco's were very pleasant and most accommodating, the young lady serving breakfast could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Whilst the room was quite small it was spotless. I would recommend the rooms facing the lake, we were on the second floor and our view of the lake was fantastic. Another good point is there are quite a few nice little restaurants just minutes away and the food was quite good.

We loved Marco's. We were so glad that we stayed in this hotel at this location. It's off the beaten path a little which gives you an idea of how the Italians in the area live and has a bit more of an intimate feel that the hotels in the main part of town. We had a lovely view of Lake Como and there are several very good restaurants in the area, including the hotel restaurant. We were really close to the train and to the Ferries. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was extremely clean. The room was small, but was very quiet and we had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and we slept well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

The hotel is small but it has an excellent and restaurant. The front desk staff were outstanding and couldn't have done more to help us. Likewise, the breakfast staff and housekeeping staff were great - all of the staff were friendly and welcoming and willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay memorable. The Hotel Marcos has a fantastic location and is an ideal spot from which to explore the many beautiful towns along the lake. What this hotel lacks in "curb appeal" is more than made up for in the quality of the staff and the outstanding location.

The room was small but had almost everythign we needed - except a hair dryer. No public rooms except the breakfst room but it was lovely to sit on the terrace overlooking the lake. Breakfast could have been better but I guess that's Italy . The restaurants near the hotel are to be avoided - in one neighbouring restaurant I was given packet soup! And it wasn't cheap! Our room faced the mountain but it was quite noisy first thing in the mornings - the lorry to collect the bottles arrives at 6am! Wouldn't have wanted ot stay there for a week but for a few days it was value for money.

Hotel location is excellent. Just off the busy road. Lovely lake views. Hotel offers free parking something which was very appreciated in view that hotel is located in a very prime location.

The rooms were clean and our room offered a magnificent view of Lake Como. Each morning a wonderful breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the water. It was great!

Rooms were modern and clean but quite small. Location is good with restaurants nearby and a short walk into Como. Buffet breakfast is served on the terrace with views across the lake. Three star hotel but good value.

Hotel Marco's was truly lovely. After leaving it till last minute to book accomodation and arriving in Lake Como on a baking hot day, it was a relief to check into this lovely hotel. Lake Como is such a beautiful place and when I go back I'll be staying at Hotel Marco's.

Marco's has a beautiful deck with views of the lake where a fresh continental breakfast is served. The restaurant and pizzeria in the ground floor of the hotel gave us good quality food and very friendly service.

Position fantastic in Como, Quality of breakfast very good, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the sun deck a wonderful experience. Dinner at Hotel Marco's was terrific. High quality food and service. Rooms not luxurious but very tastefully decorated and very clean.

MY wife and I stayed at Marco's after arriving at Milan's Malensa Airport. The hotel is easy to find and close to the train station. The room was quite small but very clean, and with a lovely view of Lake Como. Bathroom was recently updated and had great water pressure. We ate dinner at the adjoining restaurant and really enjoyed it, although here are many restaurant choices in the immediate area. Breakfast next morning was typical continental and quite tasty. Staff was very helpful in providing advice. Overall, if you are looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean, nice, efficient place to stay for a couple of nights, with a helpful staff and great views, I would highly recommend it. We would definately stay there again.
