After reading some very bad reviews I wasn't expecting much. However we found it fine , rooms were clean and warm and beds were comfy. Staff were fine. Decor was a bit dated. Liked the fact thatg it is a family-run hotel. Location was ok too. Quick walk to tram which brings you straight into town in 10-15 mins. Breakfast was basic but adequate and filled us up for the day. Only negative was I found it a bit expensive for what I got - 55 euro for a single room and breakfast but on the run-up to Xmas and Xmas market time there is not much choice to be had in Cologne unless you book early.

This had to be one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in. No phone, I had to pay for WI-fi,The room reminded me of some one who would be sitting in a jail cell and one of the workers downstairs always stared at me when I walked through the door with no welcoming facial expression. I would not wish my worse enemy to stay here. And did I mention there was a mini bar with a menu of things that was not in there.
