Hotel Friends - Cologne

This is a perfect hotel but you have to be aware that is quite far from the city center and you can only get there by buses (every hour or 30min)or by train (first walking 500m to the train station). I recommend it only if you have a car or if you are not interested in staying in the city center. That was our case and it was a lovely experience. The hotel is perfect but far from the city.

En general: el hotel está muy bien. La habitación era muy grande y con terraza. El baño se ha quedado un poco anticuado, pero todo estaba muy limpio. Justo al lado del hotel hay un restaurante italiano (Amici) que tiene unas pizzas estupendas!!! :) El único "pero": está bastante alejado del centro de Colonia, tienes que coger el coche para ir allí. Y en los alrededores del hotel, aparte del italiano y una tienda de licores, sólo hay casas.

If you are driving through Klon, this is definitely a good deal and a very nice place to stay!

The place has a good marketing approach using the name of the hotel to set the stage for a relationship with each customer. Though we didn't strike up any such relationship, the front desk staff was in fact both friendly and helpful. For our quick overnight stay, the courtesy helped compensate for what we considered to be a odorous, carpet-stained room. The hotel wasn't fancy, and the location wasn't great either, though the price was relatively decent and the bus out front provided easy access to more lively areas of the surrounding neighborhoods.

We had a very nice stay in the hotel Friends. The room was very clean, everything looked new and probably was. The room was spacious with a nice balcony where you could sit and look at the view of cologne. The surroundings are very calm and green. The only downside was that it was a little bit far from the city centre. If youre planning on using public transport, then I would advise you to take the bus 150 from Wiener Platz (which u can easily access with the U-bhan from the city centre) to Flittard Süd (right in front of the hotel). The S-bhan station is a little bit far from the hotel (at least 10mn walk).
