Classic Hotel Harmonie - Cologne

Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Good location, walking distance from all the touristic sights.

I had booked a double room superior and the room was really very nice and beautifully funished, as well as the entire hotel. The staff was helpful and kind, the breakfast good and the hotel is located in a very good position (100 mt away from the railway station and the beautiful Dom) but is at the same time in a calm and quiet corner. In my opinion it is a very good hotel, really worth the price you pay for a stay. I absolutely suggest it!!

We stayed at Hotel Harmonie during the 2011 Karneval and I was so pleased with everything about the hotel. The location was perfect for the parade and festivities and the hotel itself was clean, friendly and had a great breakfast. The staff made our stay extra special. The night bar tender was so much fun and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you!

We stayed in a stylish double superior room with excellent facilities and excellent price obtained in Venere's web page. Breakfast was enough and receptionist and employees of the hotel were kind and attentive to guests. Quite close to the centre of the city, the Main Station and the Cathedral. We will return to this hotel in our next visit to Cologne. It is quiet and comfortable. In the hotel stayed young/middled aged couples as well as fammilies.

Overall a good hotel and a pleasant stay. I booked a marginally more expensive deluxe (rather than the standard superior) room. Superior was quoted at 75Eur, and Deluxe was 82Eur/room/night (midweek). I actually originally booked a superior but then e-mailed the hotel to upgrade (as the online booking facilities did not allow a delux booking). Also worth specifying if you want smoking or non smoking (mine was non-smoking, and was indeed free of any smoke smell). Hotel location is 5 mins from the Cathedral, and although it is on a backstreet (not much of a view), this is off set by the location's convienience. Nice wide timeband for breakfast (7-10), so no need to rush in the morning. Tasty contentinental with all the ususals (croissants, fruits & cerals, cold meats etc.) is included in the room price, but you can pay for a hot breakfast if required. Dinning room is pleasant with attentive staff. Rooms themselved were quite small (I stayed in room 151 which overlooks a (very) small internal courtyard), but very clean and nicely decorated. Pay for internet in rooms (aparently often not free in Germany). Only slight annoyence was that instead of a double bed, they had placed two singles together which would ususally be fine, but unfortunately they kept moving apart in the middle of the night! All in all, a great little hotel, very good price in a very convienient location. Would be perfect for short stay holiday makers or business trips.

Attractive hotel, well furnished, large bedroom. Spoiled by the unwillingness of the staff to accept that the air condidtioning in my room (212) was not working, so was not repaired during my stay. Fobbed off with 'It has not been reported by anyone else' and 'we are all very busy'. A pity because this is otherwise a good hotel and close to the central station.

Hotel was very nice. Breakfast very good. Location near downtown church was quiet, but somewhat hard to find (near train station), need better maps or GPS coordinates. Staff very accomodating when asked. Located very close to train station and cathedral, easy walk to main scenic downtown area. Overall, a good downtown hotel with limited services for those who don't need full service.

Convenient central location 5 minutes walk from the HBf (main station) and the cathedral. This worked well as we took the train in from the airport late in the evening - faster (12 minutes) and far cheaper than a taxi. A pleasant family hotel on a quiet side street. The room decor is a little tired. Helpful staff and a good breakfast included. Everything in walking distance. I would certainly choose this hotel again.

OUr first room was very small (even though we'd requested one with space for a cot) and smelt like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. We were moved to another room that was a little bit bigger, although there was only luke-warm water. However staff were able to fix this very quickly. Lovely staff. Comfortable place. Great breakfast.
