This hotel is conviently located to the train station, Dom, riverfront and restaurant areas. We were travelling with teenagers and the staff was very friendly and helpful to find activities for them. Our room was located on the back of the hotel on the 5th floor, so we did not have noise problems with the windows open. Although we were in a non-smoking room the smell did waft up from the room below as the windows were open. The bathroom were recently upgraded with new plumbing and tile. Bathroom was small as in most European hotels. Room very clean, modern. The lift was tiny, room for two people or one with suitcases. The breakfast was OK, the usual full German breakfast.

The directions were not clear, and I paid for a taxi to wonder around when it was within a couple of blocks of the train station. Nicole and Andrea were both excellent staff persons who were helpful far beyond the call of duty. My room was across from the station, and I heard announcements and trains all night long because it was too warm to keep the window closed. Also some young people decided to have a loud and long conversation below my window at 2 a.m. The breakfast was O.K. Having to pay cash for anything below 100 euros was a pain, but I had the cash available, thank goodness. They did have a computer available in the lobby.

Used this hotel for a visit to the Christmas market's in Cologne. Very handy in terms of location. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, also the breakfast was excellent. Overall an excellent place to stay

Please prepare cash for your stay as the credit card machine may break down or as your payment is below EUR 100. The only two advantages are (1) it is near the main train station, (2) Koln Cathedral can be seen by the windows of your room.

The hotel was a little under our standard , but not so bad.The location is in the middle of the town near the Dom and this matter gives itself a big advantage

The hotel is just a stones throw from the station and so was very convenient for me. My single room was nicely furnished and decorated with tasteful art prints on the walls: similarly the public areas. I could see the cathedral from my room which luckily had double glazing. In very hot weather traffic and train noise could be a problem since there was no air conditioning. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the cathedral and two from the Rhine, the shops were only a few steps further. I found the hotel clean and welcoming with a good buffet breakfast. At 55 euros for bed and breakfast I would rate it as good value.(No cards for amounts below 100 euros) If in Cologne I would stay there again.

The location is very convenient for travel by train, sightseeing, shopping and eating, the staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are newly remodeled. There are free Mac computers at the lobby. The breakfast is good and location close to the Cathedral and Rhine river.

fantastic hotel we will definitely go again, rooms were spotless and the location was great for getting to and from the station. Also at the heart of everything. Cologne is a fantastic city! Brilliant value for money.

Although I only had a one-night stop over, all the positive feeedback that others wrote about this hotel is true. Clean, well positioned and free wifi make this hotel a place worth staying in!

The perfect place! Opposite the railway station, just steps away from the Cathedral and transportation to attractions, and also great if you just want to walk or go shopping. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Excellent value for our money, too!

Great location close to Dom and River. Buffet breakfast excelent. Bathroom looked new. Only 1 complaint the safety deposit box provided in the room was only attached to the wardrobe shelf which was loose and easily removed.

A clean and comfortable hotel close to Cologne Railway Station and the Cathedral. Staff were friendly and helpful.Room was clean, tidy, quiet but on the small side but overall very good value for money. One additional feature was free internet/e-mail access. Very handy and a service not always found in hotels with more stars.

This hotel was perfect for us as we were just spending one night prior to catching an early train to Paris. It's a block from the train station. Also very clean and nicely decorated. The size of the room was more than adequate. Breakfast was included and very tasty as well. We spent one day in Cologne and all of the sights we wanted to see were in walking distance.

el hotel me ofreció parking a 8€ por dia , la recepcionista no sabía nada de eso ,tuve que utilizar un parking a 15 €. en la habitación no había wi-fi como ofrecian ,y al bajar con nuetra maquina al sector de wi-fi ,el empleado de recepción no supo decirnos la contraseña que nos pedía el servidor ,es decir puede ser que los servicios ofrecidos existan ,pero entonces el personal es incompetente

In an excellent position close to train station and cathedral. Great room. Our only issue with our stay here was being blamed for losing the carpark entry card, despite giving back to the lady at reception. We got phone calls and questioned about this several times during our stay, and felt like the staff believed we were lying. Otherwise, would recommend.

First night had a room facing the street. Did not sleep well at all since it was warm that night, the hotel did not have air-conditioning. Windows were opened and you can hear all the activities from the street below. Had a beautiful view though of the Cologne Cathedral and the train station from this room. Requested to be transferred to another room the next day which they willingly accommodated. This time, the room was facing the back of the hotel and it was quieter the 2nd night. Bathrooms were modern although space was quite tight. This hotel is 2 minutes walking distance to the train station, the Roman Museum and the Cologne Cathedral, about 5 minutes walk to all the shopping centers and to the Rhine River and about 15-20 minutes walk to the Chocolate museum (a site not to be missed!). All the hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. They all spoke English which was very helpful. Breakfast served was ok. Able to have free internet access (unlimited access!)thru computers in the hotel lobby (helpful when you don't have a laptop with you).

This hotel was great all around. Great location only a 1 min. walk from the train station and the Dom. 5 min. walk from the Old Town. Rooms were just the right size and very clean and quiet. The breakfast was awesome! The staff was friendly. Computer stations with internet was a huge plus too. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was a terrific small hotel . . . it was scrupulously clean, and the staff pleasant and helpful. In addition, the breaksfast was excellent. We will certainly stay there again when we're in Cologne, and would unhesitatingly recommend it to others!

The spacing of the room provided was quite small. The lift was very narrow. In addition, the hotel didn't accept credit card because of malfunction of machine. This made me lose my budget because I didn't have enough cash for my further trip.
