Astor & Aparthotel - Cologne

Travelling with my husband (average age of the couple around 37). This hotel is nice, well situated (15 minutes walk to the Dom) and very clean. Very good breakfast!

Some night noise from local bars. Bad pillows, had problems to sleep beacause of the two combined.

What matters the most ? THE BEDS / MATTRASSE !!! VERY GOOD! Felt so comfortable that we extended from 1 to 4 nights. Staff and owner lady most helpful when my wife got sick. Felt more pampered that in 5 star hotels.

Excellent location with parking. Spacious rooms and five star breakfast. If staying in summer and it is hot, rooms at the back are better as you can open windows at night without street noise.

Without question, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff went out of their way to help me with directions, suggestions and other information. The room was exquisite, clean and comfortable. The location was ideal and exceedingly convenient. I have absolutely no complaints at all and I would happily return to this hotel again.

Very friendly and accommodating staff....they gave us great recommendations for local traditional cuisine and were happy to help us with any questions we had. The breakfast buffet was excellent.....the rooms were very clean and quiet.....a great value considering the breakfast buffet was included in the price. I would definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay. Very central neighbourhood. Spacious room, good beds. Excellent breakfast. Many well-priced restaurants around. We especially recommend the smaal italian restaurant a few doors up the road.

Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff, and very centrally located. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again on a return visit. The breakfast was also very substantial with a great variety of hot and cold food

Me and my partner, his daughter and boyfriend booked a two night stay over Easter 2007. The hotel is in a lovely quiet street just minutes from the main shopping centre and about 15 minutes from the cathedral. The staff were welcoming, rooms excellent, spacious and clean with tv. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places to eat out which added to our enjoyment of the place. Breakfast was a very good buffet with lots of choice including bacon and eggs to fresh fruit salad, even freshly squeezed orange juice. The sauna room was lovely and well thought out with loungers and a small terrace, ideal for relaxing after hours of walking. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cologne.

A very clean and welcoming hotel - well located for shopping, eating & Christmas markets. Very friendly and capable staff and a marvellous breakfast

Not inexpensive but fairly priced given the tidiness and very good upkeep of the place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was attractive enough to pursuade me to stay in instead of going out as I usually do (when traveling I prefer to get out and try places).

We have been there while the city carnival event was on, that's why I think they had to charge us a bit more than they usually do, but still I think this is a very nice hotel which offers a high standard service and has honest prices. The hotel has private parking lots, you'll have to pay some extra money for it. There's also a big park house just behind the corner (EUR 12 per day). Rooms are clean (sigle rooms have plenty of space available and large beds) new furnished. They have carpet floor (teppichboden) all over but it is clean. Breakfast is rich and tasty. Location is very central and very quiet (less than 10 mins walk to the Dom). I recommend this place. P
