Ameron Hotel Regent - Cologne

Once you accept the fact that the hotel is not within walking distance to the center of town, everything else is perfect. Public transportation is convenient and fast. Breakfast, not included in the price, is expensive, but there is a very good bakery around the corner near the tramway stop.

A good business hotel. Easily accessed from the autobahn. Good parking.

Although I was only there for one night the room and hotel were very well presented, and staff spoke very good english. Its about a 30 minute wark into the heart of Cologne but you can catch a tram which should only take 5 to 10 minutes and they run quite frequently. I would stay there again.

I stayed only one night, because of my travel plans, but was very satisfactory, when I return to Cologne, I will stay again in this hotel. The price for Europe rates are very convenient and the service and facilities are realy according to the rated 4 stars hotel. I was looking in Venere.com other locations in Europe as this but I cound not find them. The must convenient for me would be a hotel about 10 o 12 kms away the donwtown with close communications to downtown, as metro or bus. It reduces very much the rates per day of the hotels.

Best Western is a very nice hotel, everything was brand new and clean. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The only negative is that it is far from the city center (around 15mins by bike - not in the hart of Cologne as stated in the hotel description at the Venere website). However, the hotel can lend you bikes free of charge, which can be a very nice way to discover Cologne.
