The staff is very friendly and helpful. Small room, but o.k. for a 2 night stay. Close to the city. Very loud because too close to the railway.

Next to railway line which has express trains running all night. Air conditioning is controlled by reception and they switched it off early evening which meant room becomes very stuffy...if you open windows to get air into the room then the express trains keep you awake. Rooms OK but bathrooms were last decorated in the 1960s and have congealed dust in all the paintwork and tiles hanging off the walls. I didn't expect much before I arrived as I was on a budget and let's just say I was still disappointed.

Just near the station...means just alog the tracks with heavy goods trains passing every quarter of an hour. Small garage. Poor rooms.

Excellent value for the price. Good sound-proof windows as many trains pass by just in front of the hotel on the other side of the road.

Hotel is next to a noisy railway line, TGV, Local and transport trains are running all night. Despite double glazing, noise and vibration can be heard and felt. To top it all off the hotel has also a VIP Club, were louts, male and female drunks vomit and argue about cost and performance of their very casual and short term partner. After 10PM the hotel has the addition of a bouncer in the foyer, (probably to keep the VIP drunks in line. There is a heavy metal door from the foyer to the Club, marked "VIP Entrance". In the morning we were charged for 4 breakfasts although we ordered only two. The money was returned in such a way, that I could have lost an eye. If nothing else it was a very interesting experience. I also like to mention that Venere has a very bad selection of hotels in that price range and we have now started to book through other agencies.

The room and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Two minor criticisms: the TV was tiny and no remote control was provided; when we arrived on the first evening and asked the front desk clerk if there was any open restaurant in the area, he sent us to a wrong address, to a place that was closed on that day anyway.
