Would definitely stay at this hotel again. we stayed in Colmar last year on our way to Italy & loved it. This hotel is ideal- about 15 mins walk from the centre and very quiet.- perfect for an overnight stay. Space in room rather limited for any longer than a couple of nights but breakfast was excellant abd the staff extremely friendly.

Friendly hotel with easy parking. The walk into town was uninspiring, but not at all difficult and took about 15 mins. Our room was quite small and squeezing a baby cot in was tricky, but everything was clean and worked fine.

Have used before without any problems. On this trip, booked twin bedded non-smoking room but was initially given double non-smoking room. Was transferred to twin bedded room but it had obviously been used by a very heavy smoker. Finally transferred to twin bedded non-smoking room. Other than this, was very satisfied.

It was a little hard to find since there were no directions given- we ended up taking a taxi for like 5 euro from the train station. Once we found our way around, it was 10 minutes walk from the center of town and a little over a mile's walk from the train station. Staff was cordial but not overly friendly, didn't give us a map or anything. Overall, fine place to sleep, nothing exceptional, nothing bad either. The room was clean and quiet (although it was off-season, so there were hardly any other guests).

Location: about 20min easy walk from the Colmar railway station. If you have a lot of luggage I would suggest taking taxi. If it is just one backpack you can easily make it to the hotel. I used this hotel as a base to travel around small villages on the Wine Road. There is a big supermarket a pharmacy and a bakery in a few minutes walk. Staff: Friendly. Some problems with English. Knowledge of German or better French helps. Noise: It is located between two main roads so it may become a bit noisy but I could sleep quite fine without much of problems. Comfort level: This is a basic no nonsense hotel. The room is small but it has everything one needs except air conditioner. I was there at the end of August and the weather was just right. It was about 83F (28C) during the day and about 70F (21C) during the night hours. I can see how absence of AC can make it a bit uncomfortable when the weather is bit on a hotter side. Restaurant: Used it for breakfast. Note that breakfast costs extra (Euro 6). I was happy with the breakfast. It may include following: croissants, jelly, yogurt, corn flex, coffee etc. but no ham or eggs or sausage. Bottom line: If was perfect for my travel needs: basic not expensive place to sleep. I would definitely recommend it.

The one evening meal I had at the hotel, kidneys, did not compare well with meals at restaurants in the town. On the first night, the room was prepared with four, very small hand towels. From the second night the towels were right.

We were overall very pleased with our stay at the Comfort Inn, but we arrived quite late (8.00 pm) and didn't appear to be too welcome. We had a very nice breakfast, and had no problems checking out.

We stayed only one night in transit and were pleased with the overall quality of the hotel. Rooms recently remodeled and very clean. The hotel was easy to find. Our only complaint was that it was hot summer and no fans were provided for air circulation. Was good value for money though.

In general we found the hotel and restaurant good value. However both myself and my husband require extra pillows for neck problems while sleeping, but non were available. This is the first time ever, in any hotel that we have been unable to have two or three extra pillows. We were told by your duty manageress that they had all been stolen by clients!!!

My party had 4 rooms reserved, confirmed, and guaranteed with a credit card-- so I thought! We were late arriving and one of our rooms had been given to someone else. There were no rooms to be found in all of Colmar- so one member of our party ended up sleeping in our van. This was very upsetting. But the worker on duty did everything he could to try to find another room for us. It would have been so much better if our original reservation had been honored. I know my credit card would have been charged had we not arrived-- so the room should have not been given away. Be sure to call before 6PM the day of your arrival if you are going to be late!

Breakfast was not included in the price while advertisement said that it is. Location is not in the centre - will take 10-15 min by car. Not all employees speak English - in the morning we couldn't find anyone who could help us.

We were treated as second class citizens because they had a large group staying. We'd previously arranged to store our cycles overnight but were told that because of the group that would no longer be possible. Although they eventually found us somewhere after our strong objection. The hotel is a good 15 minutes walk from the old town centre. We wanted to leave early in the morning but they only had one member of staff on duty and again because of needing to prepare breakfast for 'the group' they couldn't check us out until later.
