Hotel Oslo - Coimbra

The hotel is o.k., if you drink a bottle of wine in the evening. There is a lot of trafic all over the night.

The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished.The hotel staff kind and helpful.Hotel's location is excelent for those who want to be in the very heart of the city and just a few steps from the monuments and other atractions.

Perfectly satisfactory hotel in the heart of Coimbra near the downtown train station and the major bus stop area. An easy cab ride or short train connection to Coimbra-B train station. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a very quiet hotel by European standards. A great price, friendly and helpful staff, and much easier than staying across the river and having to walk into town where most of the attractions are. If we returned to Coimbra, we would stay here for sure.

Nice hotel in a very convenient location across Coimbra A train station. Good breakfast buffett. We would recommend this hotel.

It was nice to have parking available and to be able to walk to the university and city center from the hotel.

Well situated to visit the coimba university and other sites. no restaurant, and poor service in the bar, breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had

From outside the hotel is quite ugly and so it was a positive suprise to see that the rooms (including the bathrooms) are really beautiful, modern and furnished with taste. The staff was very polite and helpful. We higly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is not new. But on arrival the reception was really nice. Gave us a map of the city immediately, saying there was to see. Very good. Excellent garage. Leave the car keys to recepition and think about everything. This is a really good service, also because parking is very difficult. For the rest of the room we were allocated had a strong smell of smoke, clean enough but very noisy! One night and we slept very little! Good breakfast. A big thanks to the young receptionist who advised us not a tourist restaurant really fantastic!!

Mauvaise impression d'ensemble. A l'arrivée (13h30 au lieu de 14h): proposition d'une autre chambre que celle réservée pour 7 € de plus car il fallait attendre 1h à 2h pour avoir celle qu'on avait réservé. Accès à internet : nous avons payé à la fin du séjour 1 h d'accès alors que j'en avais fait que 20 minutes et qu'ils auraient dû me faire payer 1/2 h. J'ai le sentiment que dans cet hôtel tout est bon pour grapiller quelques sous aux clients...

Everything was really very good in hotel, except 3 things: 1)was difficult to find the hotel according to the map we had 2) room was toooooooo small 3) breakfast was not various and was too much people during breakfast (was difficult to find the place to sit). From our point of view, breakfast room could be bigger. But, nevertheless, I would prefer to stay in Oslo again and would strongly recommend it to everyone! Thanks to Oslo team!

O pessoal da recepção muito atencioso e com bastante conhecimento sobre a história de Coimbra. Forneceram informações precisas de todas as atrações da cidade. Foi uma estada agradável.

Superb downtown location close to the old walled portion of the city.

Front desk staff was very nice. Breakfast was reasonable. Mattress was VERY hard. (We did look at an upgrade room, but that mattress was just as hard.) Standard room is very small with little space to walk around the bed. Step-up in bathroom was a little dangerous, we had to be careful not to fall. Wireless access was nice, but slow.

Overall, a bit of a let down. Room was extremely cold. No central heating and air conditioner really noisy, so there was the choice either to sleep or to freeze. Excellent breakfast.Good wifi and friendly service. Just make sure you turn on the AC before deciding on the room.

Hotel only 100 metres from Coimbra-A train station. Reception was very friendly and room comfortable with view towards the old vity of Coimbra. Windows double glazed which cut out noise from busy street below. Best breakfast ever. Highly recommended and very good value for money.

Hotel vicinissimo al centro di coimbra. camere un po' piccole ma confortevoli e molte con vista panoramica sulla città vecchia. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Discreto rapporto qualità prezzo.

Hotel sporco, con personale maleducato che parla solo il portoghese. Abbiamo avuto una camera piccolissima, sporca, dai condotti dell'aria condizionata usciva un odore nauseante, senza aria condizioanta un forno. Lasciando apertta la finestra entravano i rumori della strada, moscerini e zanzare dalla vicina insegna luninosa. Non lo consiglierei a nessuna, ma non so se a Coimbra si trova di meglio, e' una citta' molto sporca e decadente, questo mi e' sembrato uno dei migliori come standard. La colazione e' inclusa nel prezzo ed e' discreta, unica nota positiva.

We had a superior room and it was beautiful. The hotel was in an excellent location for visiting the old town and the university. Coimbra was really worth visiting. Hotel staff were helpful, and the breakfast was nice. I would stay here again without any hesitation. One of the great advantages of using this hotel was free garage parking!

GOOD LOCATION, HARD TO FIND BECAUSE OF ONE WAY STREETS NOT SHOWN ON MAPS OR WEB SITE. CLOSE IN TO ALL SITES WE WANTED TO VISIT. NOISY STREET ROOM, "BURNING OF THE RIBBOMS" GRADUATION, SO VERY NOISY UNTIL 3 A.M. HAD PARKING 1/2 BLOCK AWAY, WHICH IF YOU HAVE A CAR, IS NEEDED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO OTHER PARKING CLOSE BY. GET A ROOM TO THE BACK, MAIN STREET WITH TRAFFIC IF ROOM TO FRONT.

We stay on Saturday and there was no chance to sleep all nigth... cause was very noisy at the street (bars, restaurants neighbourhood). Actually no possibility to sleep normal.

The hotel was not well sound proofed and the noise from traffic was extremely loud between 6am and 9pm. However we could not find any other fault as the rooms were comfortable and modern. The staff were among the most helpful and friendly we have ever met.

Good location. Modest hotel with a good breakfast and very helpful staff. First visit to Coimbra. University visit a must see. Very quiet on Sunday but Roman town 12km away, Coimbraga? was a gem.

The hotel is situated in the low-budget area, just beyond the histrical center boundaries, but this detail is completely disregardable. The welcoming was great: valet parking and friendly, helpfull staff. Rooms are large and tidy and the whole structure gives the customer an high-quality feeling. A lot more than the expected. In addition, details like free wi-fi coverage, the great (included) breakfast, the panoramic roof bar gived us a wonderful stay. It really deserved more than we payed. I would really book here again when back to coimbra. L'hotel si trova nella zona "a basso costo", appena fuori dal centro storico, ma si tratta di un dettaglio completamente trascurabile. L'accoglienza è stata magnifica: si lasciano le chiavi dell'auto al parcheggiatore e ci si affida al personale dell'hotel, gente professionale e molto disponibile. Le stanze sono grandi e pulite, e la struttura in sè da una sensazione di qualità di gran lunga superiore alle aspettative. Inoltre, dettagli come la copertura wi-fi gratuita, l'abbondante colazione inclusa nel prezzo, e il bar panoramico all'ultimo piano hanno reso il soggiorno veramente piacevole. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è davvero elevatissimo. Da tornarci assolutamente.

The Hotel Oslo is good value. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The central location is good although very noisy. The check in and parking of our rental car was accomplished very easily. This is a good choice if you are in Coimbra for sightseeing or business. The hotel is not a good place just to hang out and relax.

The location is very good especially for those travelling by bus, I do not know how it is with parking places. Also it is practically just on the verge of the old city. The exceptional is breakfest - the full, scandinavian type, buffet with everything there. The last I remember of this quality was in Rio in Brazil. It exceeded our expectations. Also one have access to WLAN for free there.
