Good: breakfast, location and view of sea, size of bathroom, water pressure. Adequate: furnishings, cleanliness (bath had mildew), minimal toiletries and towels, front desk staff friendly but not interested in correcting any problems. Bad: light sensor broken on third floor, so hall was in TOTAL darkness until we reached elevator area and triggered that light, plus had to use cell phone light to find door lock (very unsafe! and front desk shrugged off this problem), room had dangling wire from ceiling, you can hear every noise from other hotel rooms. Note: all rooms do NOT have balconies as hotel describes.

I will stay here every time I am on a cruise. I don't want to say that because it will get all booked by cruisers! But they deserve to hear it. It was wonderful.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was spacious and had amazing views of the promenade and ocean. The hotel is close to the port and railway station and there is a good choice of eating places handy. Our pre-arranged shuttle from the airport was waiting for us. We will definitely stay here again.

We had 2 double sea view rooms.....the views were amazing! One room was exceptional, had a chair and suitcase table. The other was smaller, that is why I gave an 8. The public areas are small too, but the hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We only stayed the night before our cruise, but definitely would return for a little longer stay if we were to cruise again.

Only one 'Pre-cruise' night, but enough to recommend Mirimare for excellence. Maureen and Michael Evans send renewed thanks to Dario and team for a very pleasing and comfortable stay. We hope to make a further visit and longer stay in the near future. I am becoming quite expert at selecting the best! Cheers, Dario. Michael.

Hotel Miramare was a perfect paradise after some travel difficulties. We arrived late, hungry and thirsty and were greeted by Bogdan who found two cold beers for us. The breakfast spread was very varied and the cappucinos were wonderful. Rooms were big, the bathroom was modern and we would definately return. Wonderful views on the sea and Dario and staff were superb. Bogdan told about a 9 euro round trip train ticket to Rome. Takes 50 minutes and is good for the buses and metros also. Why stay in Rome?

Quite inexpensive for its location. Great place to stay if catching a cruise ship. Wonderful view of the waterfront from the balcony. Room was clean, bathroom was suitable and clean. Only used it for one night prior to cruise. Lots of restaurants nearby including the boardwalk.

This hotel is opposite the train station, it is 4.50 euros to get to Rome on decent trains quite a few per hour. So great for location to get to Rome and 10 mins along seafront for port. We booked 4 rooms at this hotel 2 were seafront views which have a lovely outlook. 2 were located with one window giving side partial view of sea if you lean out of the window but not so nice the other window has a rear view over the road behind the hotel and station but not to much disturbance if windows kept closed. We like fresh air so be prepared for noise if you do too. Bathrooms are decent sizes and very clean. The beds are singles pushed together and are a very basic quality. Rooms overall clean probably could do with painting to freshen up. Complementary water in the fridges is a plus. Things that let the hotel down for our party was the fact that hot water runs out quickly, there is switch on the wall that turns on the hot water for showers which they did not explain, so our son did not have hot water for his shower as he didn't realise he had to turn it on. Never known this anywhere before. One room the fridge wasn't turned on so bottled water not cold, the same room had water dripping from the aircon unit but they said the guy would be coming to repair this the next day but after our departure. There is a very tiny lift and a central staircase which we felt happier using. This whole area needs sprucing up as it looks tired and a little dingy. The worst thing about our stay was the breakfast it was terrible, stale bread and croissants, packeted bakery items all tasted stale and really dissapointing, the lady asks coffee or tea but not the children 4 of which were aged 17 to 22, a very dissapointing end to the stay. It would have been better to go to the port entrance and have breakfast at the Macdonalds there or one of the other bars etc of which there are quite a few. If you want to do this Macdonalds only opens at 10am as our children found as there was nothing

We had a room right on the beach front - which was lovely. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but overall a nice, clean room with a larger bathroom. Close to cruise departure point, so very convenient location. We had a small rental car which they allowed us to keep on their property overnight as parking was a problem, so they were very accommodating, but you need to let them know in advance if you have a car as per their website, we didn't realise parking would be difficult in that area.

Near the cruise port plus they provided a shuttle for 10E. Great restaurant next door. Walking distance to scenic shopping area. Right on the shoreline!

Great location if you're booked on a cruise ship leaving from Civitavecchia. We spent the night before there and then took a taxi right to the ship. The hotel is right on the boardwalk. Good place to stroll. Only problem is nearby restaurants don't seem to open for dinner until around 8 PM. We went to a pizza place that was open earlier and was good, but do be aware that pepperoni in Italy means peppers, not the meat we know in the states.
