Hotel Bramante - Civitavecchia

Very nice hotel. It was clean and we enjoyed the continental breakfast. We asked where we could have dinner and was referred to a restaurant about 300m. Did not realize that the restaurant did not open until 7:30 pm. I guess we should have asked. It was a chilly day so we did not want to wait around another hour. We returned to the hotel and did not have any dinner.

small rooms - seems to be little difference between deluxe and standard except for Sea View - which isn't really, as there is a stadium in between the hotel and the sea. A 20 minute walk into town, some of it beside the main road. Not practical if you are arriving by train as there never seem to be taxis at the Stazione. Breakfast is only adequate. Location not ideal. Having said that, the staff are great, the room is clean (but worth 150 euro? hmm) and comfortable and modern and the surroundings quiet.

This was our first time at this hotel. It is a bit far to walk to town unless you are young and agile. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Taxi service in Civitavecchia is very limited in evenings. Would have liked to have been able to eat lunch/dinner at hotel, but that facility not licensed yet. We were told it should be realized by next summer season.

We stayed at the Hotel Bramante prior to a cruise leaving from Civitavecchia. We had previously stayed two nights in a Rome Hotel and were prepared for the worst. When we saw our room at the Hotel Bramante, it was so perfect I could have wept for joy. The colors were soft and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the bath was well appointed and spacious. We arrived by train and asked about restaurants within walking distance and were directed to a pizzeria and had a wonderful dinner before retiring for the night. We awoke refreshed, had a wonderful complimentary breakfast, complete with freshly prepared cappuccino, and had a free shuttle to the port to board our cruise. All in all, a wonderful beginning to our two week vacation!

This is an excellent place to stay if looking for a place before a cruise in Civitevecchia. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The best services are the discounted shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We shared with other guests and paid 140E divided by 6 persons, where we would otherwise have paid 140E for just the four of us and they would have paid 110E for two of them. Free shuttle to the port the next morning. While the room charges seem high, factoring in these extras, there is value, and the people are quite nice at the hotel.

We were taking a cruise that departed from Civitavechia and the hotel provided airport transportation (for a fee) to the hotel and free transportation to the ship terminal the day of departure. The hotel was good for this purpose, not as a place to stay for vacation.

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the staff, accommodations and pre-trip communications. This was a terrific hotel and served its purpose for the night before leaving on a cruise. Would stay again and recommend to friends. P.S. I found this hotel online.

The showers and elevators are a bit on the small side...perhaps that is just Italian or European custom...

The Hotel was excellent, staff delightful - the owners son greeted us and advised on restaurants close by also arranged to collect us from cruise terminal on our return although we were not staying for that night, we stored our baggage for the day in their sister hotel The Traiano in centre of town and then they arranged transfers for us back to the airport. Would have no hesitation to 100% recommend both of their Hotels.

Stayed one night pre-cruise. Rooms are clean and quiet. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was pre-arranged and would recommend it. Transportation to the ship was provided and was timely also! Perfect beginning to our cruise.

Rooms appear newly remodeled with a nice new 32" LCD Television. Rooms are smaller than an American would be used to, but are on par with typical European lodging. The outside views are not spectacular, but acceptable (saw the football stadium from the sea side). The staff was friendly and spoke English well, especially the front desk. A laptop was available at the desk for free internet use. We ran into several other couples who were also staying there pre-cruise. We would recommend the hotel for that purpose. There was not much in the way of food choices in the area. We ate at some local pizza shack after walking back and forth a few times. The pizza was good, although there were no toppings to choose from - you got Margherita or Marinara :) We would certainly stay again should we do another cruise from this port.

The hotel staff was very service oriented, accomodating, and friendly. This hotel caters well to the pre-cruise crowd, and the people we met were primarily seniors. My main criticism of the hotel is its location, it is isolated and not near the city center. I do recommend this hotel and I would stay again. It was a pleasant stay in a quiet neighborhood. Very dependable re: all of the transportation it coordinates between the airport to the hotel, and the hotel to the port.

This hotel was a jewel and the staff was most pleasant and helpful. It is clean, quiet, has an elevator and very good coffee. If you are taking a cruise from the port this hotel with supply shuttle service to the port free of charge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without worries of anykind. Thank you

Hotel Bramante self-styled as 4* but not quite there yet. It is new and beautifully appointed, but restaurant and bar not open until early next year. Rates are fair and include a good continental breakfast. Big plus is availability of hotel's transport (prebook, and charged) from Rome airports to hotel, and even bigger plus is free lift to and from port for cruise passengers.
