Palm Beach Hotel - Cinisi

Good view on the beach, but sadly lots of uncollected trash in the street facing the hotel (not the hotel's fault though). Good accomodation for one night before taking a flight from the airport nearby, but not for a longer stay. Expensive transfer from airport (30Euro) and no public transport alternative.

A handy place to stay, as it's a short drive from the airport, and we didn't want to chance Palermo on the first night, first visit. The occasional roar of jets taking off mars the solitude, but we expected this. The beach isn't one we'd want to spend time on.

It was off season, so we had a large room with a large patio overlooking the harbor. Plenty of restaurants near by and shopping. Parking was good. The shuttle we did pay for, but it was very convenient. Wifi was great and the lobby was modern and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The best part was we were very close to the airport.

When I left the hotel it was a bad suprise that the breakfast was not included. The confirmation letter by venere said that the breadfast is included. Only by reading the letter very carefully and till the end it was written that finally it is not. The breakfast was 50% of the room price. So I would not take it normaly. Please make clear statements.

We booked a double bedroom but got a small 3 single bedroom. No replacement was available. Nice hotel, very nice restaurant and bar, great location with nerbay restaurants and just by the beach. Apart for the room problem the only other issue was staff that was not really helpfull. Reception staff was hardly ever at reception and if they were serving customers was the last thing on their minds. If it was not for the staff I would rate it as very good. Hopfully surroundings make up for that slight drawback.

The Hotel was only suitable as a base from the airport. We stayed in the hotel for 1 night only before we began our onward holiday in Sicily. On first impressions the hotel looked ok and the reception area was bright and modern. However once we left the the reception it was like walking into a timewarp - the rooms although clean were very dated say 1970's decor and very sparce. The receptionist was not very helpful and quite pushy when it came to booking dinner for the evening. The evening meal and breakfast were ok and the service in the restaurant was good.
