It struck me how clean the hotel was kept. I liked the location being close to a bank, laundromat, grocery store, train station, and Ciampino Airport. Being handicapped I would have liked to have been a little closer to the train station (750 meters or 1\2 mile) but there was a shuttle at certain morning times for 4 Euros. I walked the distance instead. The train station was also near an inexpensive cash and carry grocery called Todis (Euros only). I had a laundry bill that was a bit shocking so the hotel adjusted it to 1\2 the bill which was satisfactory. I also had a problem with having no refrigerator at first but that was corrected. Breakfast was 5 Euro and it was convenient to have a place to eat dinner. All in all I liked the hotel and the location just 15 minutes on the train to Rome.

My room was almost inside the train station, so 5am the noise was really loud. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is really kind. The location is really difficult to find, I advise to have a map with you.

My first stay at hotel Giampino, rooms and service all okay. They write close to the airport of Giampino and that is right because from early morning to till midnight plains are taking off almost in the back-yard of the Hotel as well as the trains. In the beginning a bit anoying but you get used to it. Just 15 min walk to the trainstation and many trains are going to Rom Termini in just 15 min.

I expected just the ordinary airport hotel - but was pleasantly surprised to find a very friendly atmosphere, a quite decent restaurant and very helpful staff. Of course, you will hear noise from the airport, but not after mid-night. I found it quite difficult to find the hotel, but then I arrived after dark. A signpost on the main road would help.. But it's a great hotel, and very convenient to the airport

We needed accommodation for one night only, near to the airport and this was ideal. Ir was a lot better than I had anticipated and I would have enjoyed at least one more day in Ciampino. Noisy in the daytime because of the trains and planes, but that cannot be avoided in that location, and at night it was peaceful and quiet.

Well, what can I say. You get what you pay for...or not even. Our room was not clean. There were spider webs, spiders, leaking shower, a few holes in the wall, etc. Also the "whole hotel" did not have hot water and we were so looking forward to a nice shower after our cruise. It is literally right next to the train tracks and airport so lots and lots of noise. The walls are very thin and I could hear the people in the next room "using the restroom". The staff was friendly and they did get us to the airport in the morning on time, for an extra charge of course. I would not stay here again. I'd pay the extra money for a better hotel.

We stayed 4 nights the downside to the hotel there was no tea making facilities so early morning and late evening we were unable to have a drink. The noise came from youngsters talking and laughing loudly and running along the corridors late at night as there was no carpets on floors!therefore lack of sleep Friday and Saturday night. Handy for train into city and Metro very good. There was no mention of airport/train noise.

I took a double room for 2 nights and I think the services of the hotel meet my standard; moreover it's nice and cheap; the Ciampino airport is near and this is great for the movements but a disadvantage for the noisy airplanes: the noise didn't disturb my sleep but maybe other people don't tolerate this.

This was our first time at Hotel Ciampino and we were pleasantly surprised. For the price, we expected a glorified hostel. The only two negatives are the ambiguous directions from the station. We went back to get a taxi for 10 euros as we got lost by using the wrong underpass! The close proximity to the airport means regular flight noise. We would be more than happy to use the hotel again and can recommend taking the sumptuous breakfast. Free use of the internet was an unexpected bonus for us.

One of the best deals we experienced in our month of travel in Europe through eight countries! We arrived close to midnight with Ryanair and did not want to take the train to Rome. The taxi ride was 15 Euros for two of us as the hotel is located near the Chiampino airport. For one night's stay we paid 39 Euros and were very happy with the spacious modern room with high ceilings, comfortable bed and rain shower in the bathroom.

We stayed in this hotel because it was cheap and so close to the aiport and we had to catch a very early flight the next day. Overall, the hotel itself was good but lacked a shuttle service between the airport and the hotel. The regular city shuttle bus between the airport and Ciampino city didn't seem to run very often (over an hour's wait needed at the airport) and anyway it stopped 1 km away from the hotel (fine in theory but more difficult with large bags). So we had to take taxis who charged between 15 and 20 euros each way (some asked for 30), for only a couple of km! They insisted it was a fixed price to get out of/to get to the airport, which the hotel confirmed. For that price, it would have been cheaper to stay in Rome itself after all (and use the 4 euros shuttle services between the airport and Termini Train Station in Rome)! The hotel also gave us a shuttle timetable which was not exactly up to date: the first shuttle that we needed to take to make our flight was not in service and we ended up having to take a taxi on the way back to the airport again. Also, it was supposed to be a 15 mn train ride to Rome City Centre only but we had to wait an hour at the Ciampino train station. The timetable we got from the hotel wasn't up to date either. Trains seem to run more frequently at peak hours though.

We loved this hotel and it totally exceeded our expectations. There is a very friendly relaxed atmosphere here, where you are meant to feel welcome. All the reception staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional. There was also an outdoor swimming pool which was more than welcome at temperatures of 44C. You have the option to purchase breakfast. Yes,it is near the Airport and Train Station so expect to here them and get over it. For 34 Euros what more can you ask. This was one of the best stays we have had in any hotel and would definately book again. Thank you for a lovely start to out holiday(and no tax!).

We used the Hotel as the first place from the Airport after our late flight in. We are a family and had a family room, which was well appointed. The hotel is very close to the airport and reasonably easy to find. Staff were most welcoming and helpful. It is in a residential area so there are a few bars and restaurants nearby. As it is close to the airport, then there is some noise from the planes. However, in terms of convienience and price, it was perfect for our needs. Sadly we didn't stay long enough to use the pool, but it did look very inviting.

The hotel is very noisy, with the sound of the airplanes taking off /landing and, worst, people on the corridors and common areas. From our rooms we could even hear the noise of the breakfast room!. In the facilities of the hotel description it´s offered mini-bar,but there wasn´t: when I asked in the reception they say there wasn´t in any room!! One of the matresses was awful, I asked for a change and they only did it for the second night, so I spent the first day in rome with backache. And the new matress was just a bit better..Breakfast is porr and only "sweet" things marmalade, croissant, nutella, etc.. no option.. And they offer "private parking" which really means 5 or 6 places on the street reserved for the hotel customers, it depends on chance that you find a place, atherwasy you have to look for a place in the neighbourhood. I would try another hotel, and just would retunr to Ciampino hotel if could not find a better option.
