Hotel Ambasciatori - Sottomarina, Chioggia

It looks like that foreigners have less chance of a good service, than the local people. Service of the waiter at breakfast was discriminating, his attitude was arrogant and rude. we stayed for 4 days, breakfast was very poor, no variety of coldmeats or cheese, no eggs.

We were lucky to find a parking place just in front of the hotel, otherwise 40EUR extra cost to park the car!This should be indicated in the offer! The staff was really friendly and the nightlife amazing.I would recommend mainly for young couples.

Breakfast could be a little bit voluminously and better. We had only a room to the small patio. Bathroom very-very small, Shower cabin only 60x60cm.

Good breakfast buffet. Excellent information given by the staff about dining, transportation and sightseeing. Great location of the hotel - all attractions within walking distance.

A couple of things were not ok: -broken light(mirror one) and ventilation in bathroom -one broken light near the bed -beds are very small (I'm about 1,86m and I was -out of the bed for about 10cm) and hard. For me it wasn't a real problem until I just said it before the departure. There was no kindness from the receptionist but only anger why we did't say anything before. For me that was not the right way to answer a guest who's not compliing but only saying sth that was not ok. Would the lady have said sth like "Sorry for that, we'll try to improve our service, you'll have a voucher or pay 5% less than agreed, perhaps I would turn there another time. Like this not.

Staff gentle but with no experience,as often happens also in hotel higher stars,in Italy,often. It was my first time at Ambasciatori,a little old hotel,needs to be renewed. No frigobar in room. The bed near the bath of the neighborood was terrible,and and i could hear all voices of people and children. I suggest to stay only for short period of staying. It is situated in a strategic place and it has a little but useful private parking,included. Breakfast is a little poor but included in price,even if it was not specified on voucher

Great hotel! Location is perfect; it is only a couple of hundred metres away from Piazza Navona but is still silent on an evening been tucked away on a side street. Very clean and tidy with traditional feel to it (though looks recently refurbished). Staff were extremely helpful and although not advertised there is free internet access available in reception.

Parking too small, we were lucky to find a little and shrink place. Climat Installation depending of hotel lobby, and working to few, and noisy. Always obliged to ask for it! Meal price too high regarding what we found outside. Swimming pool is in fact public swimming pool 5€/d per person

The public areas of the hotel were very grand but the rooms did not match this and were very simple. The breakfast was poor and so much so that we did not pay for it. The resort of Sottmarina was a bit run down and I suppose it was more or less shut for winter so we did not have a true picture of the place but we will not be returning to either the hotel or the resort.

Sorry, but I cannot recommend this hotel. Service was rather poor. They did neither speak english nor german and so communication was quite bad. Although there were parking spaces, they were very limited. No chance to get a parking. My car was damaged during parking outside the hotel!

The room doors are thin You can hear all noises. The interior is old and used, the floor is unfriendly.

The surrounding of the hotel is too noisy. The room was not very clean and way too small for our family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Good description of the hotel but : the private parking costs 40 euros... the swimming pool on the roof is closed (that is the originality of the hotel...) the restaurant is very fine

During our trip to Italy we stayed in three hotels, the first two were excelent, this one fell well below standard, the hotel was being refurbished during our stay and our room was apparently completed, the en-suite was small and old, generally the fittings were rough, the bunk beds for the childern were unsafe, it reminded me of an hotel that would suit young people there for a rave. Very poor!

The hotel is located on a VERY busy corner and there was noise (Partying) until 6:00 am. We we unable to sleep because of it. The beach is beautiful and had we been young and wanting to stay up all night this would have been a fun place.
