Hotel Monterosa - Chiavari

Very noise from the near room for the little walls and from the bell of the near churc

The hotel was everything we could have asked for... Great location in the heart of Chiavari, friendly staff that was always available for questions, and clean and comfortable rooms. Others have complained about the church bells- although they do happen early in the morning, it was never so loud to be bothersome. My only complaint would be in regards to the wireless internet- it was difficult at best to get a signal in my room, and guests are only given 3 hours of use per day. If I had been able to get a better connection, three hours would have been plenty, but as it stood I was frustrated and always running out of time. Wi-fi issues notwithstanding (and it could have been my specific room's location), I really enjoyed my stay at the Monterosa and would definitely return. Chiavari is a wonderful little city that offers everything you could need, but without the tourist hordes that crowd the Cinque Terre and other nearby attractions.

I have been to Chiavari many times since my family has an apartment there. This was the first time I went to Chiavari and stayed at a hotel. The hotel is very centric and the staff is very helpful. It is a great 3 star hotel, could even be a 4 star one. I definitely recommend this place. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Excellent location, in the centre of Chiavari Excellent staff welcoming and helpfull, the hotel service is almost 4 stars. Breakfast rich and nice, "focaccia genovese" is served all days and it's wonderfull. There is also a pleasant terrace in Hotel Monterosa with sofa and quiet athmosfere. If you want to have an elegant stop in a bar you can go to "Defilla bar" at about 10 minutes walking far from Hotel Monterosa. Bar Defilla is the right place to taste a good cafè or an ice cream or have a snack comfortable sitted outside the bar under the quiet arcades.

This was our second stay at the Monte Rosa and we are looking forward to staying there again.

Hotel and staff were great, but I did have some difficulty finding the hotel from the address given.

Very old fashioned hotel, some ongoing restyling works, very noisy. Neighbour snoring passes thru walls like nothing... Not very comfortable stay.

The bathroom was great. Good towels.

This was a very good choice. Chiavari itself is a very pleasant town, although not perhaps on the tourist map. Handy for the Cinque Terre and other local attractions. The hotel was very good. I had the half board option and the dinner menu was both varied and of good quality. Breakfast was superior to other places that I stayed in Italy. Overall a very good choice.

Very friendly staff and welcoming. The use of the Garage was very good as well. The suite seemed a bit pointless as we didn't didn't use that side of the room and it was very dark and noisy at all times. Having visited other hotals in the area I felt the the room was a bit pricey but adaquate. I don't think I would stay there again as I didn't feel the room was quiet enough or nice enough for the price. Thanks.
