Hotel Raffaello - Chianciano Terme

The location of the hotel is very god with only four blocks from Piazza Italia. The breakfast service was very good and there was more than enough food to start the day. The first night of our stay, the air acconditioner in the room did not work so it was not pleasant to sleep. The next morning we were moved to a room with working air with no problems. The only two minor complains is that the swimming pool closes at 7:00 so if you are back from a long day after that there is no chance to cool off at the pool. The second issue is that they not provide information on the cost of the dinner or supper at the hotel until you see the charges on your hotel bill. Dinner for 3 with water and beer was arounf 80 euros. Overall a very good place to stay

Chianciano Terme is a convenient place where to stay, since it is well connected with many famous and beautiful tuscan towns, like Chiusi, Montepulciano, Pienza, Sarteano, Cetona and many spas, as Bagno Vignoni, Sarteano, San Casciano dei Bagni and Chianciano itself. In Chianciano I think hotel Raffaello is a very good choice: it is in a very quiet place, it is confortable, it has a swimming pool and the relationship price/quality is excellent! Also the meals at hotel Raffaello are excellent! (and breakfast with homemade cakes is included in the price) If you like hisory, art, archeology but also nature, wine and food the tuscan countryside is the right place! We visited many towns: besides well known touristic spots, I recommend the belverde archeology site in Cetona, the etruscan tomb of "quadriga infernale" in Sarteano and to have dinner in Montepulciano.

Bellissimo albergo a 2 passi dalle Terme, ottima cucina, personale qualificato e gentile e spazi esterni curati !!! ++++
