Hotel Premiere Classe Cherbourg - Tourlaville - Tourlaville, Cherbourg

I stayed in a double room although I was travelling alone. The room was compact but neat and clean. There seemed to be a constant humming noise, but it did not prevent me from sleeping. The only criticism was the lack of being able to make a hot drink. Overall I thought it very good value for money.

Hotel very convenient for Ferry, excellent value for money - wish we had stayed for breakfast.

Good peaceful location for easy access to motorway, ferry port and city centre. Shopping facilities nearby. Price was low in comparison with other city hotels. Definitely excellent value.

We stayed twice. The first time the room was damp and smelly, and the shower curtain missing. The second stay was better, but it would have been nice to have a kettle and some attempt at decor. The service was fine throughout, and having adjoining rooms was excellent for the family.

Booking easy from web page. Friendly welcome. Both rooms we used smelt of cigarette smoke which was unpleasant.

Hotel was basic but perfectly clean and as advertised. Breakfast was excellent value as the children ate free. The service was friendly and welcoming. Car parking and immediate surroundings adequate, although a drive into Cherbourg for restaurants/shops is necessary, although this is only a short distance

On arrival although we had reserved interconnecting rooms we were not initially given these. However, this was rectified immediatedly. The rooms are small and very basic, but as they are cheap this is expected.

The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was warm with easy to control heating. There was nowhere within walking distance to have a snack or drink. we found it difficult to find although we felt we knew Cherbourg and Tourlaville pretty well. Would like to post a couple of photos on the site but dont have the computer nohow although my photos are on the computer. We sailed from Poole during the late afternoon, had a wonderful day in Normandy, filled the boot with wine and cheese and were back unpacked in Yeovil by midnight. We felt we had had a longer break. The receptionist should have finished by 10pm but hung on till 10.15 for us. I think there is an automated booking in service after that.

A very basic hotel but OK for a nights stopover. Web site did not warn that reception was only open during certain hours.
