Arrived to back of hotel and would have had a better impression arriving at front. It had seemed to be a building on its own, from photos and info, but it was part of a large building. The whole place was grubby and though the bed was clean etc. the room was below standard....more a "one" star! The staff were great and friendly, and the breakfast was nice. We overlooked the harbour and it was pleasent. We were only staying one night and would not have liked to stay more in that hotel....but we loved the area. We had a beautiful meal in a restaurant on the beach on the mainland and it was beautiful!

Very quiet Hotel close to the Sables d'Olonnes "remblais" with a little cheap shuttle boat Rooms are very clean

How to reach Admiral's Hotel
By carFrom North and East (Nantes/Paris/Angers): take Highway A87 towards La Rochelle/La Roche-sur-Yon /Cholet-Sud. Close to Cholet get off the highway and take road D948, then the N160 via La Roche-sur-Yon. Pass close to Château-d'Olonne and follow direction La Chaume.
From the South (Niort/Bordeaux): take Highway A10/E05 Highway, direction Saintes/Royan/Nantes. Close to Niort, take Highway A83 (Angers, La Roche-sur-Yon). Exit at La Roche-sur-Yon (Exit n°6) and continue on the D948. Take road N160 via La Roche-sur-Yon, pass close to Château-d'Olonne and proceed follow La Chaume.
From La Rochelle: exit at Lagord and take road D105. Take the D9 towards Esnandes/ Bourg Chapon, then the D10A up to Puyravault, the D108 towards Moreilles, the N137 towards Luçon, and the D949 towards Sables d'Olonne. When arriving in Les Sables d'Olonne, go towards La Chaume.
