Very nice accommodations which were made even better by the very helpful owner and staff. The owner arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport and without this it would have been a little difficult to find. Quiet surroundings and rooms in the old town very near the harbor.

This is an amazing gem! A greatly renovated old venetian period villa in the heart of the most beautiful Hania old town. Spacious rooms, decorated with utmost style. Comfortable beds, aircon, TV etc. Personal and friendly service. Superb breakfast. Bozzali truly feels like "a home away from home". The owner is a most friendly italian woman, who helped us in all our needs. Would return anytime and would highly recommend to others.

I stayed in a single room but with a double bed in June 2009. It was nice and clean and everything worked well incl the air conditioning. If anything, the water pressure was a bit low in the shower but no big issue. Breakfast on the pavement in front of the hotel was fantastic and quiet and Iiuana is a lovely host and obviously cares greatly for her beautiful townhouse located less than 5 mins walk from the old habour. Be aware that parking is an issue when coming home at night du to the nightlife and the fact that only locals are allowed to park on streets. Use the 'designated' parking lots by the waterfronts. Neo Chora beach is only 15 mins walk away and I found this beach to be much better than the resort towns west of Chania. I would recommend Bozzali to anyone wishing a cheap boutique hotel stay in an authentic environment close to all the eating and drinking joints of Chania Old Town. PS: Make sure to take a walk on the habour before breakfast and experience the relaxed pace of life before the town wakes up.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast was wonderful and location perfect. Away from the noise of the port/harbour but close enough to get too. I would recommend Hotel Bozzali to anyone travelling to Hania.

My wife and stayed in Hotel Bozzali for a week in July/August 2008. The owner of the hotel is wonderful, location is great, rooms are very clean and we truly enjoyed our stay.

This was a charming little hotel on a quiet sidestreet, yet centrally located. The room was large and beautifully furnished. The owners were very friendly and helpful too. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Crete!

Great boutique hotel with fantastic location. We had room #6 with lots of light (5 windows)and great cross ventilation. Our breakfasts were outstanding with fresh orange juice. They are adding two new rooms for 2008. This was one of our favorite hotels on our trip throughout Crete. Highly recommend it!

Very beautiful location, quiet and spacious. Very kind welcome... Two warnings: - in the case you arrive late in the evening, finding the hotel might be somewhat difficult and tricky; - if anybody opens the door, try to the taverna on the road side of the building. Probably not suitable to old people due to steep and narrow staircase.

Wow!!! This hotel is very very nice! Placed in the downtown but in very quiet street at the same time. The receptionist (who is also the owner) is really kind and helpful. Tutte le camere dell'albergo sono arredate in modo diverso e in stile e anche la colazione non è convenzionale, la "signora Bozzali" è davvero super wow!!!!If you want to feel the Venetian spirit on Hania, this is the righjt palce to stay!!!!

Hotel was much nicer than appearred in photo on Venere! The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful- felt more as if staying as a guest in someone's home than at a hotel- yet given total privacy. Also, was much quieter than expected considering how close to the Old Harbour area property was.

My wife and I stayed at Bozalli, a renovated 13th century Venetian townhouse, for our first three nights on Crete. The property was charming, extremely well maintained, and the location was perfect for exploring Old Town and the harbor area. The management was very helpful and accommodating in every way. Unless you require luxury facilities you couldn't go wrong with Bozzali and we recommend it without reservation. Make sure the taxi driver really knows where Bozzali is, since it is not directly accessible by auto, and you will need to be let off on Sifica (sp), about 10 meters from the Bozzali entrance. Our driver dumped us at the entrance to an alley - at night with 4 bags - with instructions that "it should be up the alley a couple of blocks, maybe on the right".

The hotel has recently changed ownership. We were allocated a studio type room. However our stay turned out to be something of a "nightmare": The front door was locked and we had to wait outside on the street until (I think it was) the cleaner let us into the building BY PURE CHANCE some 30 minutes later. Luckily in reception there was a mobile number for the proprietor and after a phone call and a further 30 minute wait she arrived. The third "bed" was a very flimsy fold-away, not at all suitable for an adult. If it had been earlier in the day, if I hadn't secured the booking with my credit card and if I hadn't been so ill, I would have rather looked for another hotel. However the most distressing feature of our stay which we didn't find out about until we had registered was that the hot water system had broken downthroughout the whole hotel. It was finally repaired on the day we left. When I suggested that some form of "compensation" would be appropriate, the proprietor offered a paltry 4 euros discount. To add insult to injury, she refused to take payment by credit card (highly ironic when the booking is guaranteed using a credit card and nowhere is it stated that cash is needed to settle the bill) and due to the fact that we had to then go to a cash point to get enough cash to pay the bill (it was the last day of our holiday) we missed our ferry! No compensation is available for this. The only way we could catch our flight from Athens was to pay in addition for an internal flight from Chania to Athens. It is also worth noting that the new owners have opened a bar underneath the room we stayed in plus they have installed a very noisy refrigeration unit for the bar in the patio just outside the window of the room I slept in. We were the only guests. I am of the opinion that the proprietor should not be taking bookings. My stay in Chania should have been a wonderful relaxing time. My children who were accompanying me did their best to make the bes

This is a great little hotel - picturesque, quiet, and well-located. However, services are limited - e.g., no breakfast or sightseeing help.

The landlady is very friendly and kind. The room is clean and lovely. They don't provide breakfast, but it has a mini-kitchen. I stayed in a double room for a single use, so it was a little expensive for me, but it would not be if you are a couple or a groupe of two.
