exterior Hotel Château des Briottières exterior This 18th century family château, located in the Anjou area near Angers, not far from the Loire Châteaux, has a number of outstanding features. Set in a magnificent 50 hectare landscaped garden with terrace and vegetable garden, this hotel combines luxury and conviviality, providing several leisure opportunities : tennis court, trampoline, archery, hot-air ballooning, pony club and, a swimming pool located in its enclosed and flower-adorned garden. Horse-riding on the paths leading to the lake, a treat for anglers. Period décor with four-poster beds, alcoves, precious fabrics, Versailles-style parquet and panelling. Refined traditional cuisine.

We paid 140 Euros the standard room without breakfast, what is expensive, and we weren't inside the castle but outside. The diner was not good as well and expensive ; 46 Euros per person without wine ! It's not a good bargain.
