The rooms were adequate however the restaurant (and the food served) is outstanding. This coupled with the fact that Marc (owner) and his staff are very friendly and helpful. We would return without hesitation.

For a couple wanting a quiet getaway with good food and who are willing to be elsewhere during the day this hotel is very good value but if you want more traditional hotel style facilities - try elsewhere. If you like the slightly exccentric this is for you. The hotel was very quiet, the service excellent but the reception area being closed for a large part of the day was limitting because there was no where to sit. Lack of space in the room for a wardrobe was an irritation as was the leaky shower. The lighting in the room may be environmentally friendly but made reading difficult and was a real detractor. An inability to provide a breakfast before 8.00 a.m. is not good and attempts to deliver a breakfast on a tray to the bed room at 1.20 a.m. while an impressive attempt to please was a real annoyance. The food and service in the restaurant was outstanding - really good.

Marcel, the owner, head chef, tv repairman, and waiter was absolutely delightful. The room we had was small but very clean and homey, with a balcony and a view! The restaurant was 5-star, with Marcel encouraging us to drink an amazing bottle of wine, something we never do. The only suggestion I would make is to include the "breakfast" in the cost of the stay as most similar places do. Thanks, Marc!

Superb hotel in an amazingly picturesque location. The staff are very welcoming and flexible to customer's needs. The hotel restaurant is also extremely good quality, and dining outside amongst the mountains at night is an unforgettable memory.

Stayed for 4 nights, the room was small but clean. Servoz, Les Gorges de Diosaz is a brilliant venue. And the start for an incredible walk through the Gorges de Diosaz is just 100m away from the hotel. The hotel restraunt serves excellent food by international french gourmet standards for a good price. Try their set menus for a real treat. If we can, we would return even if just for the food.

The hotel was welcoming and friendly - It was in a beautiful setting and the room was lovely with a balcony over looking the gorge to front. The food in the restaurant was excellent of very high standard. The team at the hotel were all lovely and friendly. They were very accommodating and I am sure we will be returning for another longer stay next time.

Stayed for one night. The view was amazing. Located 20 min from chamonix if you got a car. On the way to Servoz there are no lights at night on the road. A "tiny" room with a very "tiny" bed. Very clean. At evening (we got back at 20:30)the hotel was closed so you get inside from the back door (got the code from the owner when we got there) ,but there was no one to speak to about problems like internet access (no link in the rooms) or tv problem. the phone in the room is for internal hotel calls only (when we asked the owner how can someone call us to the room he said that one can't call to the room from outside, and we better use our cellphone!). The breakfast was not full breakfast, only croissant bread and jelly, coffee is French,,and cost 8.50 euro not 7.50 euro like published on venere.com . Acoustics is not so good you can easily hear the other room.

A charming hotel close to a summer attraction (Les gorges), very affordable in the winter and close enough to Chamonix.

Nice little place. Lovely location, feels unspoilt by tourism. Grab some bread and cheese from the store and head up a mountain. The new chef-owner is apparently one of the best chefs around - I would agree. He is working on improving the small hotel but generally it is great value for price. Eat there. We were not aware that is was in a small town outside Mont Blanc but it was just a 20 minute bus-ride. We did a great hike around the mountain in front to face onto Mont Blanc.

This is a charming hotel in a lovely hamlet with easy access to Chamonix and Mont Blanc without all the tourists. The rooms are not large but clean and perfectly adequate. The food was excellent. The staff was very accomodating.
