Large spacious rooms, fully refurbished, well heated. Good restaurant located on hotel premises. 15 walk from the Monastery of Pavia. We'll stay here upon further visits to the region. Easy protected parking. Recommended.

The room was a bit small but adequate. Attached parking was a plus. The restaurant food was highly excellent and moderately priced. Good value for the money. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting quiet surroinding rather than the noise of Milano.

hotel original ( ancien relais avec une belle cour intérieure) très bien entretenu situé sur une grande route à 5mn en voiture de la chartreuse très bon accueil, parking fermé chambres climatisées et insonorisées un seul inconvénient en été , ce sont les moustiques venimeux et voraces ( mais les chambres sont équipées de moustiquaires !!)

I booked this hotel in Pavia, after having flown into Milan. Distance not too far. We only stayed one night, which unfortunately didn't give us enough time to discover the area. I hadn't made the distinction between Pavia and Certosa di Pavia, so originally went to the wrong address. We found the Certosa by chance as we were driving away, however it was closed on a Monday. We appreciated the restaurant on the night of our arrival, as we didn't have to look elsewhere. Very safe parking in the courtyard.

found the hotel to be very good value,lovely pizzaria and breakfast. Spacious refurbed rooms. Missed a lounge area but only a small negative. Freindly relaxed staff, would definately recommend for value.

excellent hotel for short stays, recently renewed, clean rooms, simple but good restaurant, guarded parking facilities, decent prices, hotel surroundings rather poor, some traffic noise perceptible in certain rooms

The hotel was easy to find. The staff was excellend, especially for children. The breakfast was good. There were good places for cars in the courtyard .

this was the first time I stayed at Hotel Italia, I have stayd three days in Certosa. The Hotel has also a very good restaurant - pizzeria. The Certosa of Pavia(ancient monastery) is very beautiful

Great place to stay overnight when visiting Pavía. At a stone throw from the famous Certosa di Pavía. We enjoyed an huge room and bathroom, and despite the lack of wi-fi, we could use the wired (provided by the staff) high-speed internet FOR FREE. Highly recommended. Parking inside was not a problem.

Hotel Italia has a very good position if you want to visit nearby Milano. You can go there by bus, car or car/underground. Also the "Certosa de Pavia" one of the most beautiful sacred buildings we have ever seen lies only five minutes away. We had a very spacious room and bathroom. It was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful (but you have to speak at least a little italien as their english is not so great.) Breakfast was good, especially the fresh and warm bread they brought every morning.

although the external vieuw of the hotel is not a whawh experience, the internal side is it much more. It is a very quiet and clean hotel with a very good team running it and offering much more service than the 3 stars quote. The location along the main road is very discrete and the hidden parking place is a plus.

Very friendly management and helpful employees. Excellent parking facility. Nice restaurant for dinner. Good evening walk to the near historical site.

Wir verbrachen eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Es liegt ideal für einen Besuch der Certosa di Pavia, aber auch als Zwischenstopp, da die Autobahnabfahrt nahe ist. Unser Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und ruhig (Lage Richtung Kanal, wie es sich Richtung Straße verhält, kann ich nicht beurteilen). Das Abendessen im Restaurant hat uns sehr zufrieden gestellt (gute Qualität, nicht teuer), auch das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse reichlich.

Small rooms, but very clean and quiet. People working there are very very nice and helpful.

At our arrival they told us that only small dogs where accepted in the hotel. Later we had no more difficulties about that.
