we were in our honeymoon, and we enjoyed the place so much, we stayed a night longer...its an amazing place: the view-tuscany spreads in front of you,the service-the employees are so nice and helpful,every request was answered with a smile and the rooms-clean and tidy, were just what we dreamed to be our honeymoon holiday.

Great place, wonderful people, if you want to stay off the beaten path this is a great hotel. We followed directions from Florence without any difficulties, arriving from Certaldo is more complicated due to lack of signage. The rooms are very spacious, clean, with a great view of Tuscany, even San Gimignano in the distance. The pool was outstanding. The hotel restaurant, as well as the two other restaurants in town, was closed while we were there. During some months in the summer there is a fund raiser for the local soccer team where food is served under a large tent in the town square. Great food at a great price. Not a 4star restaurant but a great experience. There are several small towns within a few minute drive with grocery stores and restaurants. This is centrally located, within 40 minute drive from Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggione, and Volterra. There is a dial-up internet connection in the lobby. This was great for a weekend, but for a longer stay I would require a high speed internet connection and a restaurant open for service on premises.

The staff was rude and not helpful. The beds are old twins pushed together. The dining room was closed all three days we were there with little help in finding places. We could not sit on the patio and have a drink because a party was going on. We planned to stay for three days and checked out after two. Getting there on their directions is impossible. While the location is beautiful it does not meet four star quality.

This hotel is situated on the top of a hill ovelooking some superb contyside about 6 KM from Certaldo. The location was perfect for us as we were attending the wedding of my brother and his fiance which was held in the medival hilltop town of Certaldo Alto. The Hotel was excellent. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Whilst the room and views were excellent, service was lacking. Available staff concentrated on group party and we were overlooked. Choice and service at breakfast was particularly poor. Location details did not cleary indicate the actual distance from the nearest town.
