Hotel Villa Gaia - Cefalù

Villa Gaia is just across from the sandy beach (public or private as you choose) and a short walk to town--excellent location for enjoying both. The hotel was modern, with nice public spaces, nice balcony, good and varied breakfast. Close to a busy street so a little noisy at night and we had trouble getting hot enough showers. Still, really enjoyed our stay. We went to Al Porticciolo Via Carlo Ortolani di Bordonario 66, which has a great view of the ocean and excellent pizza and pasta, and another restaurant a bit further on that street, Ebraio something, right near the bastion, also excellent fish, appetizers and cannoli and also a wonderful view.

This was our third year visiting Sicily and this hotel was one of the best we stayed in. If we go to Cefalu again next year we will certainly book in here.

Very friendly welcome. Savings of 10 Euro at the beach (umbrella and chairs for free, and 15 % at the beach-restaurant. Oldtown in 10 minute walking distance. Beach just across the street.

Excellent little hotel with a good breakfast but parking a block away from the hotel.

Very spacious room, excellent shower facilities, decent breakfast, good location: close to the beach, 1O minutes walk from city center.

We personally visited Cefalu' in winter and unfortunately only stayed for a day due to time constraints. The old city with its old buildings and churches is lovely and extremely interesting to see. I am sure the place - especially the beaches can be better enjoyed during the summer months. Villa Gaia is also a lovely luxurious villa type of hotel with rooms having sea view/satellite tv etc.. Giorgio, the owner is particularly helpful, very efficient and always ready to give the customer tips on where to visit in order to make the best of your stay.

This review pertains to all four rooms reserved by Joseph P. Mercurio for family members. The setting was excellant, Cefalu is a charming town, hotel personel were helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious and we all enjoyed every moment. We strolled along the beachwalk to 'old town' for dinner and found it all delightful.

This was nice place, and relatively new. The customer service was outstanding. I'd recommend it without reservation.

Nicest hotel we stayed at in Sicily... Giorgio, our breakfast waiter, deserves special mention for kindness and gentility. Staff was great... Cefalu' was wonderful. I'd highly recommend this hotel... Free parking, nice rooms, all amenities at a decent price. The breakfasts were the best we found on the island. Tanti saluti a tutti al hotel!

Pleasant small-scale hotel right opposite the beach of Cefalu, and only 5 minutes walk to the old town center. The bathroom featured a massage and steam shower, which was interesting for a change. Otherwise the rooms are pretty standard, nothing really special. The same for the breakfast buffet, which is served in the hotel lobby. The hotel has a private parking area at 2 minutes walk, which is really convenient.

Full marks to the wonderful night porter. Arriving late at night and hungry and expecting nothing, we were treated to hot coffee and a little buffet in our room. This is a lovely hotel and we would have welcomed a longer stay - though due to our itinerary, we moved on the following morning.

Good location along beach just away from main town centre but still within easy walking. Hotel has its own parking just down the street in a secure un-covered lot.

The Hotel was lovely and the breakfast was better than most we had experienced in Sicily. Beautiful clean and very spacious room with Sky TV, balcony, and the most amazing power shower. The hotel was a little away from the center but it only took 5 minutes to walk in. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

The beaches in the area charge for entry, but the hotel provided a free pass for an umbrella and two deck chairs, as well as a discount on the food from the restaurant. We were told it was 200 meters from the hotel, but we think it was closer to 500. All in all, it wasn't a far walk and it was very nice.

Nicely furnished and decorated and well equipped room. The hotel has an excellent location, quiet and close to the sandy beach, just across a street. On the other hand, the old town of Cefalu is in walking distance, and this walk can be done in the seaside promenade. Parking is in a nearby closed lot, for its gate private controller was provided. The staff was helpful and efficient. Travelling around Sicily this hotel was a nice experience, we enjoyed the stay and should like to return some day.
