Hotel Le Calette - Cefalù

We attended a friend's wedding at Le Calette, and found it to be a delightful four star resort hotel, with a good pool and pleasant sea terrace. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Just a bit close to the railway, but we weren't unduly disturbed. We got a good rate with venere.com.

Beach, the sea, bay with islets, sofas-plank beds on a beach - super. The beach compensates all other lacks.

There is a wondeful private beach, equipped with really confortable double sofa that is not at all'emphasize' in the web site. Rooms are old but in good maintenance.

We stayed in Cefalu for 2 days while touring Sicily. The hotel was out of town but easily accessible (a 20 minute walk along tracks and a quiet road). The hotel beach was very pebbly/rocky and the water wasn't that clean. It was also a long walk down so not suitable for anyone who isn't mobile. The swimming pool is small for a property of this size - fine in May but I imagine that in the summer it could be really overcrowded.

Great hotel, some noise at night due to being next to train tracks. Bit of a trek into Cefalu.

The hotel is well situated for Cefalu and is within easy reach of Palermo and Monreale. It is a good base for sightseeing. The room we had was very small and not well insulated from noise outside. The reception staff were very friendly and obliging, although it was sometimes difficult to find anyone in charge of the hotel bar. Both the breakfast and the buffet lunch were of very high quality. Although I would not wish to spend a poolside holiday at Le Calette it served our purpose very well.

Pleasant hotel with good but very formal restaurant, staff were pleasant. No direct access to the beach was a little disappointing as the location suggested that it might. The train line running behind the hotel did not affect our stay at this hotel.

The hotel was very pleasant and set in attractive surroundings. It was quite a walk into Cefalu, which wasn't a problem for me but could be for some people. It would be easier with a car, but I understand parking is not very easy in the town. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was better than the other hotels I have visited in Sicily.

It's a very nice hotel (better than we can see on the pictures of the website), well located. Moreover, the breakfast is very good. I really recommend this hotel.

Pretty nice hotel. Worst selection of tv channels of all hotels stayed at. Pool area pretty shabby and sauna not open. Very loud train passes directly behing hotel regularly during the day. I could care less about a pool when there is an ocean nearby. All the above was forgiven once I viewed the private beach. THE MOST SPECTACULAR VIEW AND IMPRESSIVE ROCK FORMATIONS-TRULY HEAVENLY-TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!! I WILL NEVER FORGET IT. Cannot understand why they do not show this picture on the website since it's on the hotels cards??

Molto fastidioso la notte il rumore del treno che passava nelle vicinanze. Per il resto il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole sia per la professionalità dei dipendenti che per la struttura

Hotel would be excellent if: we would get the room type which was advertised on pictures, eg. big room with the terrase. Also, we experienced a lot of "wake up calls" during the night because of noisy trains passing right behind the hotel, which was very annoying. Also, because it was after the season period, we could not enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. Hotel has a very good meal and a great pool.
