Our 4 night stay in the hotel began late (the BA flight gets in late) with the news that our total cost had been taken twice from my card, and could I provide my bank details for the refund? I was a little reluctant and asked why my credit card could not be credited. No reason given but they said (next day) they would give cash on leaving. Fair enough. I asked about the tunnel to the sea described on Venere's website but it was closed after September. So was the outside pool although it was still quite warm. The hotel was quite pleasant but the bar was often unmanned and generally quiet. This may be due to the number of corporate events going on which meant the dining room being re-located from the ground to the fourth floor, with the attendant logistics of getting the food up from the kitchen. The food was still pleasant but took longer. There are not many alternatives for eating nearby in the evening unless you are mad for paninis from a trailer. Notwithstanding,I still enjoyed my short stay, though I booked my Etna adventure with an outfit named in the "Rough Guide" rather than the tours available from reception.

Un lugar para dormir. El entorno no es atractivo, pero es un buen punto de partida para visitar la isla. Los servicios del hotel son justos. El desayuno poco variado.

The hotel is "tired" We had the misfortune of arriving on the day that Catania politicians were holding a convention. This stretched their capacity to the full. The hotel is situated off the beaten track, there are no good restuarants in the vicinity. There own dining room was full, so we shared a function area with a coachload of tourist.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The small bathing area next to the sea quite different, but a bit scary for swimming in the sea.

Asked on the reservation through Venere for a sea view room. On arrival given a back room when sea view was available. The hotel although a very nice one suffers because they are geared up the conference market and not the tourist. Shower in the bathroom was too small. Reluctance of chamber maid to replace toilet rolls which meant resorting to taking what you needed from the trolley. One reception employee told us there were trips that could be arrnged from the hotel. Another said there weren't any.The saving grace for this hotel was the pool. The hotel is really on the outskirts of town and this meant expensive taxi roads if you wanted to go anywhere.

Very nice. Very clean. A/C was a little lacking -- couldn't cool the room very easily. Stayed there 4 nights on 3 different occasions (2 nights; 1 night; 1 night). Shower for the first 2 nights was VERY small. Other 2 nights the room's bathroom was much better. Overall, a very nice hotel. Free Parking.

We wanted a hotel with easy access to the airport but outside the city; Nettuno was perfect. The rooms were clean and very nice. Beautiful views of the ocean, and interesting black lava stone "beach". The boardwalk across from the hotel was great for walking and there were little restaurants (and gelato shops) nearby. The taxi ride to the airport was 25 euros, but it would have been a reasonable drive if we had a car; Nettuno had free parking.
