Hotel Manganelli Palace - Catania

This hotel was nearly impossible to find given directions provided on Venere.com

Fantastic!

The staff were exemplary with good spoken English. Given we suffered a robbery on the beach, the management were wonderful in advancing us money as everything had been stolen, and all the staff were most sympathetic. Breakfast was a little unimaginative but the rooms made up for it. Car parking was difficult to access as one had to enter the hotel, before being given access through large gates to the secure car park in the quadrangle.

Helpful, informative staff; clean, attractive room with nice bathroom; good breakfast; excellent location for walking to various piazzas, churches and trattorias; we would prefer that the beds were not so hard--that is literally the only complaint we can think of

Large room / suite very suitable for 3 adults

Good rooms and very close to bus stop for airport. Breakfast is ample by Italian standards. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the are around its entrance, which is dirty and would surely alarm little old ladies; but the hotel can't do much about that.

I was very pleased with the hotel, one staff member esp. helpful. Good access to Catania centre, trains and buses. Note access is by small lift so not suitable for some disabled

This is an excellent hotel right in the centre of Catania, close to the cathedral and most other major sights, but also to restauarants and bars. Rooms are spacious and very clean, ceilings are decorated with beautiful frescoes. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Excellent offer and value for money; makes you feel to stay in a hotel rated 5*; although parking is not included, the price for parking is OK and very vary valuable for a location in the very heart of the city

Cause of delayed fligth we arrived at one a clock in the nigth,but had a real warm welcome. one luggage of ouers vere missing,but all staff we attendit were most helpfull ringing airport severel times,and happely it was found at last. of this reason we had to stay one more nigth than intendit, but that we dit noy regret seeing more of catania. morning breakfast was attendit by areal nice lady,smiling and friendly,making an extra cup of coffe if nedit.

Hotel Manganelli Palace is very good value for money as a 3-star hotel. It is has a very central location just one minute away from Via Etna and is located on the top floor. We had a nice view from our balcony and could even see the top of mount Etna in the morning. The service was excellent and friendly and the room was spacious and with a high ceiling. The entrance door was a bit hard to spot and the elevator is old and narrow, but charming. Highly recommended.

El hotel está en la 2ª planta de un céntrico edificio situado en la Plaza Manganelli, pero se entra por una pequeña calle lateral(Mejor buscar en el mapa la plaza que la dirección de la propia calle, que casi resulta desconocida). Se puede dejar el coche en la plaza, sacando ticket de aparcamiento. Está muy bien situado junto al centro histórico de Catania. El sitio para desayunar un poco pequeño, así como la zona de estar, por tratarse de una planta de un edificio, pero la habitación cuadruple era preciosa, con frescos en el techo y muy amplia.

The breakfast variety and quality were not adequate to a four star hotel (except for the delicious hand made cake). On the venere web site the parking was indicated as free, but we discover at the check-out that cost 5 Euro x day. The hotel has only two car parking so it would be better to book it in advance. The staff is very kind and helpful. Very good placement near to the center, very charming rooms.

This is a great new hotel, for a great price, and perfect location. The hotel rooms where even beter than on the pictures,with beautifully painted ceilings. I stayed with two small kids, they had an extra bed and a crib, and were still spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
