One of the best hotels we stayed in Sicily. Warm and efficient reception, thoughful breakfast delivery to our room without charging extra on the day my daughter left early in the morning, and a spacious room with pleasant decor, were most impressive features. In Japan, all hotels provide a thermos with tea/coffee bags or an automatic kettle in the room.None of the hotels in Sicily, including four-star hotels provided this service. Wouldn't you consider it for tea drinkers?

The hotel employees are very welcoming and the rooms quite delightful - very clean and beautifully appointed. Bathrooms also good. Perfect location for exploring Catania - within an easy walking distance of the main sights. Map and directions not so easy to follow but signs to the hotel as you hit the centre from the airport are pretty good. You can park in the street outside but need to get a park card from the local tabac.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful, efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was a good buffet. Everything was fabulous about the stay and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The buildings in the area around the hotel are a little rough, but the area is safe and the hotel is very close to all the main sights of Catania. We found it very easy to get around on the bus system or just to walk.

The best experience that I have ever had in 15 trips to Italy. The rooms were extremely large and elegantly appointed. When I decided to stay another night, they gave me a suite--the biggest that I have ever seen for 20 euros more for a total of 140 euros. For the same amount I received a small, dirty room in Rome. The employees were the most friendly that I encountered in many trips to Italy, tied only with the management at my hotel in Palermo. The only problem is that it is most difficult to find in a rental car, primarily because of the narrow one-way streets. When when I arrived, all was worth it.

We got a friendly upgrading to a two-floor suite with a terrace. The decorations of the room and of the public areas were exceptionally beautiful and done with a great taste. Everything was very elegant. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good as well. A great place to stay in Catania.

We were upgraded to the best suite for 159e. It was a palace. The people were wonderful. The neighborhood is NOT BAD (other comments said it was). It is within walking distance of the city center and Piazza Duomo (beautiful). The hotel was featured on the front page of a global hotel trade magazine. It is that gorgeous. Downside is no restaurant, but very nice ones within walking distance. One oddity...took pictures of the room. (Will post). Orbs appeared on a chair, the sofa, and the wardrobe in the bedroom. Wasn't the camera cause they're not in any other pictures!!! Sooo... friendly spirits because we felt very welcome.

The hotel staff was the nicest I have ever met. Maybe so nice that a few more days would have been too much! They were very smiley and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the hotel's location is very close to the city - just a 10 min. walk. The mattresses and pillows were very hard. That must have been the only minus - it gave me a real headache.

The Liberty Hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and decorated with the finest of furnishings. The bathrooms are the best of any we encountered on our trip. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfasts were superb. The only trouble we had was that the quoted price for a double room, was given as a single and we got a surprise when it was time to pay. But, I must say with all how wonderful the rest of our stay was, we were happy to pay more than planned. The only other drawback would have to be that the neighborhood around the hotel isn't exactly lovely, but it did have free underground parking, so I wasn't worried about my car. We like to walk, so going to the shopping area wasn't a problem for us.

The Hotel Liberty is located very near the main shopping area and the Duomo. I rated the surroundings as poor, but I think it would be very difficult to find an area of downtown Catania that is not dirty and dilapidated. The hotel provided a beautiful sanctuary in such a city. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had both a suite and a single. The single was very very small, but the suite was fantastic.

We stayed in the Liberty hotel for one night and appreciated ist very much. It is a beautiful house, very well kept and with a very friendly treatment. It's located near the historical centre (5 minutes walking distance) and in general quiet, but can be a little noisy by few cars passing by at night.

I stayed in Catania only for one day, just to take a look at the centre of the city before moving to another place in Sicily, so I didn't have the chance to fully appreciate and fairly evaluate the hotel services. Anyway, despite in the surroundings the buildings are a bit badly preserved, the hotel is extremely charming and clean, artistically furnished. In my opinion breakfast quality is the only aspect that could be slightly improved (coffee and pastry). I would recommend this hotel to anyone, ranging from business travellers (even if it seems to have only one single room, and double room for single use might be a bit expensive) to young and old couples, to little and not noisy group of friends.

Impeccable service. Very kind personnel. Reserved for us a wonderful fish restaurant next to the fish-market (Antica Marina). All in all an experience which was worth the money. We've experienced a few hotels in Italy but only few are up to the "Liberty".
